At the 26:20 mark of the Video, Trade? What Did the the Diamondbacks get from the Astros for Signing Walker beside them Forfeiting their 2nd and 5th 2025 Drafts Picks plus $1M of their International Bonus Pool Money?
The Astros are making big moves! Christian Walker is a solid addition, but losing Bregman? That's huge... The AL West is going to be wild this season. Thoughts on how this shakes things up?
The Astros aren't trading for Robert...I doubt they have anything the Sox want. More realistic names are Verdugo, Bader and Heyward. Those 3 guys might all be better than what the Astros have now. McCormick could have a bounce back season, but Jake Meyers is just a defensive replacement type outfielder. If they clear enough money, to get Santander, I think they are better than last years team.....since there was a big hole at first. You'd be losing Tucker and Bregman, and gaining Paredes, Walker and Santander.
The Astros are not done. They'll sign an upgrade to right field, trade Pressly and try to sign a bargain reliever or two and stay under the 2nd tax threshold.
@@GeorgeYork-o8wDana brown said Chaz will play right and Jake will play center. Left field is a question mark. I doubt they sign anyone. They only have 15m to play with but I also think they don’t want to spend anymore money.
Off topic but I’m back to being out the Sox..Gabe them a shot once they traded for crochet but signing broken Sandoval sent me back out…this ain’t what we signed up for as Sox fans…we are Boston not KC or TB
Yankees missed out? if they were going to sign him it would have been short term and probably less than 3 years lol. they might be thinking signing Tucker next season and moving Bellinger to 1st. but that's just what i would do
Bregman has money, money isn't the defining factor, time is, so if he really wants to go the Tigers, play under AJ Hinch again, he'll accept a lower monetary figure as long as the years are there.
Favorites = odds…you don’t think they’ll have the shortest odds by a good margin over the rest of the teams? I think they would. I could see Houston +300, Seattle + 6 or 700, The Rangers either tied or right behind by 100 & then LA + 1500 & Oak +10,000.
@ my issues isn’t that they will be the favorites. I know they will. But to say EASY favorites? They signed two guys to replace two guys that were as good or better. It took an historic collapse by the mariners to win the west. Favorites, sure. Easy, nah.
@@BALLCAPSports They lost Tucker and Bregman, Walker and Paredes are good players, but they're downgrades. The bullpen is still questionable. The Rangers will be the favorites, not the Astros

I really hope the Jays dont overpay...but if they are backed into a corner......Really worried. Especially if Rogers just wants Shatkins to field a competetive team. They trade bo and vlad at deadline...get some propsects...then the next offseason get another FA or 2..really how hard would it be for the Jays to field a 3rd WC team over the next 5-10 years...and that keeps fans coming and printing money for the jays...they dont care about what the fans want.
I honestly truly thought Walker would sign back with Arizona. Im a Yankees fan but I didn't want him unless ut was a one year rental honestly not really in to having 34 yr old bats for multiple years unless we've had the player already. Mariners haven't improved at all, same with the Rangers. And the A's are not in position to win the division next year. And definitely not the Angels. if the Astros sign an Outfielder, they'll be one of the easier predictions to win a division.

I’m just glad Walker is out of the NL West, dude has been a Dodger killer forever.
Is he really that good ?
Jim Riley, Great channel. I am a Yankees fan and disappointed the Yankee's did not land Christian Walker.
I’m not mad the Yankees aren’t getting him. They’re clearly setting up to go hard after Tucker or Murakami next offseason
Zlo, Me too. I am a Yankees fan and liked Christian Walker also.
Tucker going to the Mets 😂 next season

The Yankees didn't really lose out they would have to give up two draft picks to sign him
And would've had to sweeten the deal with a 4th year which no team was willing to give
Yeah cuz draft picks are useful lol

maybe call up Pedro Leon for OF or melton are options. I would call up Melton over Leon just because Melton bats left
Dana said Melton was about 6-8 months from being ready. If he got called up, I wouldn’t expect it to be before July
The lost 12 war between Bregman and tucker and only gained around 7ish. Astros are still way weaker offensively.

Tucker and Bregman gone and a new ballpark name in Houston. A truly new chapter in H Town
Trade for Springer 😅
Houston has a good OF prospect, projected to be called up after the All-Star break, Jacob Melton. He can hit. Pretty good defense too.

A lot of us in Houston feel the same. So far, the owner let Springer, Correa, Tucker, and now Bregman go.
Still have Altuve and Alvarez with that pitching staff. No doubt another division title.
