There are two types of car meets, one for the older generation where you park your old classic/exotic car and talk, and one where young people are having fun
I’d say the first one is more of a “car show” than a “car meet”. Car shows in my experience are more formal and have actual rules and are better put together.
Hey Adam, as a tribute to 2022 you should do a blooper compilation just to show people that everyone makes mistakes and yeah, Well Done so far with your channel. Your really growing in a HUGE quantity
be careful that whirring noise isn't your water pump going! mine started making strange noises that I ignored and the water pump bearing failed and fell into the timing cover! Had to have a whole new chain and pump. it was painful 🤣
I was just about to say the same thing. First show without all the pops and bangs was so much better. Once you’ve heard one popping exhaust I’m not sure you need to hear a thousand more.
just look at the difference of the attendees age, first show people were older and more mature, the second meet is just 90% of instant noodle haircut having tiktok fuckboys
theyre not even doing anything bad, just revving. is it annoying? sure but is it harming anyone? nope just let em have their fun as long as theyre not blocking traffic doing donuts in intersections like in the USA
@MillioZ they are right next to the hgv parking which is the worst of things. They are trying to get a night's sleep whole someone revs their base level subaru
@@MillioZ There's a bunch of HGV drivers parked up, who legally have to get a certain amount of rest right next to where these morons are dicking about......... so when you're family is wiped out in an accident where a Lorry driver falls asleep at the wheel, are you still going to think it's just annoying? Or are you going to grow up and see the big picture? These idiots honestly need their licences taking away and their cars crushed. They are of no benefit to society.
Altho it's a work of magic, it's far away from the sleeper. Sleeper is something you *don't* expect to go for the horison, in a flick of an eye, and most of m30s are well known for that, despite the most rusty look.
the owner of the e30 v10 lives not far away from me ... i met him when i was out in my E28 . pulled over for a quick chat ... top bloke and the car is immaculate
That V10 E30 had my jaw on the floor from how good it sounded and how clean it looked. I always hate when people turn GOOD classic cars into crazy stuff that's nothing like the original. That guy kept the outside looking as good as possible and put a fun engine in it, that's what I love to see
The sorting hat at Port Solent car meet is really dumb. They declined a smart crossblade on the basis that it’s a “boring nothing car” but the criteria for entry says “all electric vehicles”. So you could turn up with an electric smart car from a dealer and be allowed in. But turn up in a crossblade which is a very rare and unusual car and you get turned away. I’ve always wanted the smart car owners club to take over the car park before the meet organisers get there. It would be carnage.
I was denied entry when I was first there, which is fine. But it was very rudely put, and I didn't know the rules. I'll have to return one day with my mate's Koenigsegg.
That’s me in the Orion and my pal in the supra.Marshall had no idea what to do so I asked why you send us to public car park and not the show part he said I don’t what cars go where I just direct. Maybe the museum should have Marshall’s that know what they are doing.
@@harv8742 is what they used to say in the 80s. These days the saying is "Bee emm Trouble you" or "dsg problems". Even my xr2i was totally reliable.
Hey Adam, thanks for another year of great content 😎 I think the Jaguar C-Type was an XKSS replica; there was an outfit recycling XJ6/XJS rot-boxes into replica XKSS bodies at one point, they may even still be around 🙂
once got rejected from entry to car meet showground in my Toyota starlet for being in too bad a condition to enter despite paying double for a space to showcase my car and it being modified. Entered the showground onfoot just to see a stock toyota starlet in worse condition than mine.

Wish I could have appeared at either show with my now scrapped one of one 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS sedan. It was the only 89 Grand Marquis LS sedan with the 351 cid (5.8 litre), Trailer Tow III Package, nd painted Dark Cranberry Metallic with matching vinyl top and Dark Cabernet Interior. That was a serious Q Ship. Horsepower was nothing to write home about with 215 @ 4,600 rpm. Torque, however was 390 lb/ft at 2,200, and that was before any mods were made. Thing went like stink but though it was a stock Honda Civic at the fuel pumps.
Half of those cars wouldnt be allowed to even be on a road. Thats why all conventional car meets are pretty underwhelming. Especially compared to america and japan
I wonder if my immaculate G35xS (Vqhr) would be allowed to sit beside your Z. It has similar bones & it was a hard car to find.. only mod was a new exhaust (Top Speed Pro1), & intake tubes from Z1 with AFE high flow filters. . I can't allow myself to rice it out. It only has tasteful mods.. I plan on keeping it for a long time. I get offers to buy it all the time, & with the story behind it, I just can't let it go. I bought it with AMC stock market gains. I had so many call options, & it worked out. Now my car is the only token of success I've had in the market! (I could've bought 15 of them at one point, lost it all really quick though)
As much as I like cars and meets I do think it's abit naughty having them in the services when there's trucks parked up. There on there breaks or trying to sleep 🤷
I can't tell if it's nice they let some of those cars in. Or if it's kinda sad. Like base model stock 350s, stock crowd surfers, stock subes, midrange Mercedes and Audis. A lot of those cars would have ended up in public in the states.
