I saw the logo on the guy’s vest in chinese but this seems like a North American passat to me, anywhere i can someone to do this in North America canada-usa ?
I just got quoted over $2,000 for DPF replacement, so this is an insanely expensive job at most shops. 2013 Golf TDI. I'm not sure if the shop knows it can merely be cleaned, but they did say the price is mostly labor. I'm watching videos considering doing it myself. I'm an aircraft mechanic, but I can also do a job on a car if I really want to.
@@ethanpopour8035 A 767, or _any_ airplane, is easier, even the F-35s I currently work on! I _almost_ did my own timing belt recently since it's so expensive but went to a shop when I realized it would take me 3 or more days & I was intimidated by a few aspects. Next one I'll do myself. I just paid to have my DPF & EGR disabled instead of cleaning it. I've gone from 35 MPG to 45 MPG on highway with A/C off. Next I will physically remove the DPF and EGR, replacing with a bolt-on kit.
Run from anyone charging that much! I just had the software delete done for $500 & the physical removal of the DPF (and EGR) I will do myself. I believe I could have DPF removed for $1,000 or less if I let the same guy do it that did my software.
Thank you sir for sharing. Comments here are also noteworthy. The rebuttals are entertaining especially among the experienced gear heads.
When your title is "how to remove...DPF", you might want to consider including the removal process. (Mark@RustysImport)
These mechanic are so much better than the ones in the USA I also like how they put protective covers on.
Where's the how to part for removing dpf?
Just Clap your hands and it is removed.
3 & 4 injector clamp bolt stripped? Didn't torque
How did you make the opening so big to pull out the DPF? Did you just pull down front subframe?
민들래님이시네요 ㅎㅎㅎ 영상 잘 봤습니다 😊
Great job! How much does it cost?
i love to watch how this guy is working
It's AMAZING how fast he works :) But, sincerely. Thorough and great lesson.
Nice video man👍
What year Passat or Jetta is this?
Also Change fuel filter every 15000km the dpf warning light will disappear
Made it look so easy lol
Mindboogling. What I don't understand is why the whole fuel system needed to be cleaned, not just the DPF?
That's not a dpf?
ojala pudiera hacerle todo ese trabajo a mi passat sin estropear nada jajajajaj
What's the cost of something like this
in our country it costs about 90 dollars, but it depends on the complexity and car model
How long it takes only for the removal of the dpf ?
hello, the video is not mine, I just shared it here with the permission of the owner

Thank you
Where’s this, i don’t mind driving a thousand miles to do this, my 150k passat really needs this

@@crooked-halo also an aircraft mech. If you can manage to find the gaskets and such good luck! VW is definitely nothing like a 767.
@@crooked-haloyou can just delete the DPF and remap its easier

I now see why they want $6000 for this job.
6000$ for what? 😂
car is not worth 6k
