Madagascar's Hidden Wonders: Lemurs, Baobabs, and Beyond

In this marathon of Somewhere On Earth we meet locals from the countries of Madagascar, New Zealand, and Australia. Starting off in Madagascar one of the worlds largest islands, and red from the colour of the earth, we meet Elysee a botany student with a fascination for her country’s national tree: the baobab. In the beautiful country of New Zealand full of vegetation and wildlife, we head to the South Island the larger and less populated of the two, and its here that we find Peter, a former farmer who is now a painter, traveling the country to capture its light and impressions. And finally ending in Australia we learn the rich landscapes through its people: Richard guides us through Australia’s Buccaneer islands, one of the country’s most inaccessible areas.

there seems a lot of confusion about the french empire in africa before the slave trade stemming from the english queens mary and elizabeth (coincidentally the names of the mothers of jesus and john the baptist - that fight for the crown post the conquest via the divine right of kings and pre the masscare of the macdonald clan), I wish we could build a library to resolve, it's very confusing
