  • How writing fantasy is different from other genres. Every genre has its challenges, and fantasy is no exception. I've been writing fantasy exclusively for a number of years now, but when I began writing, I wrote contemporary. I wanted to talk about what it's like diving into writing fantasy when coming from writing something else. Writing fantasy is different, and unique in its elements, namely magic, which adds so much potential for plot holes and complications.

Then if you like punishment add in chapters about the bad guys to flush out their story so they seem more realistic and not info dumped at the end, lol. I always tend to find fantasy easier for me to write. Only thing that took me a long time was creating the languages for the other races cause I did not know till I started my novel that no two elf languages are the same and they are all copyright. And because I like to stay consistent I made up the alphabet and each time I came up with a word I would write it down. X3 cause I had to make up 3 languages cause I guess I love punishment. Took 3 years.
