Thank you so much for this much needed explanation Sydney, to the people entering this world of finding an "Editor" & a "Ghostwriter". It can be tough and there are some shady people out there. I was lucky to have my book written and published through "Writers Of The West" and that saved me a great amount of time and hassle!

I don't get it why people critique AI so much. Many authors steal ideas from other authors entirely and that is thought okay but using ai not. So for editing purposes i use ai.

I’ll admit, I’ve used it. The entire rough draft of my current novel was written with ChatGPT, though I revised it to reflect my own style. I’m on my second draft, this time writing it on my own, though still using ChatGPT as a brainstormer when I’m stuck, or for feedback.

I write things myself and edit myself, but I line edit with ChatGPT. For example, I will insert a paragraph or a scene, then ask AI: 'please polish this writing and make improvements where you see fit, maintain the prose and the atmosphere, line edit, proofread and polish some more'. The results I get are excellent, and then I can edit from there: 'rewrite verbatim, changing (blank) to (blank) also remove the phrase 'said softly'. It is an excellent editing tool Also, I love your luscious red hair. Yowza!

For anyone that wants to use outlining or write short fiction on ChatGPT 4 now. After each prompt use the “Please cut out ChatGPT-isms in the prose and make the text in a beautiful tone.” It'll cut the flowery overwriting in the prose and give somewhat better results with it. I'm just throwing ideas out there. It even works on music generators.

I'm terrible at prose, which is why I tried this to me to begin with. I realize that I need to teach myself to write prose and rewrite this particular story.

question? is it just me but, there are some part's that i like to write, like for example i love writing the action scene's. but i don't really like writing the talking scene's, so sometimes when i need to write, talking scene's? i write like half the chapter, and ask chatgpt to finish the other half, and edit out the thing's that are not consistent with the story and lore after. or i give chatgpt a prompt and edit the story that is come out of the chatgpt after.

I don't know about others. As for me, I make it a point to use AI as less as possible. Why? Because there is something called a writer's Ego, when tells me: "Write you own original stuff, instead of leaning on the crutch of AI to help you with your writing." And believe me, it is absolutely necessary to fan this writer's Ego from time to time, so that when the final manuscript is ready, you can say to yourself: "This is something that has mostly come out of MY brain, with only 5 -10% input from an AI tool." The joy of being able to say this to yourself is something magical. You can go to bed with a clean conscience, knowing that the final output is 90% original creation that only YOU are privileged to take credit for. As for the marketibility of the book and its ability to compete with AI-generated books in the near future, that's a different story altogether. If you are happy that you have written an original book based on your lived experiences and your own research, then that should be enough to make you immensely happy as a writer. Sometimes this happiness is all that's needed for a writer. Creativity and originality are most important for a true writer. Marketability and readership are also important, but that's Part II of the story. If the Part I is right, writers will naturally get the drive to explore Part II, through proper book promotion and social networking. PS: My comment may not be directly related to the contents of this video. I jus felt like expressing my thoughts, so I typed this 🙂

My elves... They have a reproductive system of being obligate queuers, with a seperate male and female hierchy. They have a longer gestational period, and they only hit puberty at 20, and their narrow frames on a humanoid bodyplan do severely limit their ability to produce offspring. They have a fertility rate of around 5.9 to 6.1 children per women, but only one in four women would reproduce, because of them being obligate queuers, and the young being so altricial, and the birthing process so heavy on the mother that many would be too busy caring for nieces and nephews upon becoming fertile, that they might not choose to have their own off-spring. Bi-racial elves, have a unique way is that their colorations, to humans, there pigmentations look like the one of a generic white person, but to elves, having this combination would make them unusual. Also, those who are drow with dinurnal elves are typically predisposed to being late birds, nocturnal or diurnal, and tend to have very messy circadian rythms, or rather lack them entirely.

Wow, there is that big number again… 250,000 lol trying to give me nightmares? Great video. My process is after I carefully edit it, I hand it off to my editor who then hands it back to me all in red and I cry myself to sleep for a few weeks questioning if I should just give up. Then I keep going cause she is expensive, and I need to make my money back somehow. Then she proof edits and I cry myself to sleep some more. I then proof edit it twice. So my process is a lot of self questioning and tears lol.
