#1 thing about animation is you can do epic things on a smaller budget.
would have to spend avatar money to do live action at or near its max potential

Having had the privilege of reading some of thr Crusade unproduced scripts, I would love to have that completed someday. I thought, _maybe_ it would be, given we never even got novelizations.
If the movie does well it would be really nice for them to do movies covering parts of the lore of the original series that were only touched on like for example the Dilgar War or the First Shadow War.
It would be nice to see a series done in a similar theme to Roughnecks.
I want to like this. But I remember "The Lost Tales" and the Rangers movie, "To Live and Die in Starlight" too... So I remain guarded...but hopeful.
I liked the former (Taes), hated the latter (Rangers). But I knew what to expect. The Centari Prince story carried it IMO.
From the pictures that Michael Stravinsky posted, it looks like it will be old school animation. I would have preferred 3d animation, but hey, we all miss B5 and we'll take it..
The 5 year arc was completed, though more could be added. If they do decide to do a series though, I'd love to see crusade completed as at the end earth was infected by the shadow virus and they went off looking for a cure - as it was axed, that story was never finished, leaving a huge void in the story and a story incomplete..

I am hopeful wad hoping for the B5 reboot but with current status of CW don't think it'll happen..but anyone know what service will stream? That I haven't heard yet..
We won't know which streaming service the movie will be air on until mid June but most likely HBO MAX.

While I respect your opinion, I don't want them to reboot the show. I'm more open to them continuing the series with new actors and characters. Sort of like how McCoy was on the very first episode of The Next Generation,. I wary about reboots and reimaginings.
Why is the station so off model? It looks like it was created from 20 year old memory with no reference materials. The front double prow is way to so short for a start.
I know, right? I was hoping it was simply a strange perspective issue.
If I build this up too much in my mind i'll end up being disappointed,

All b5 needs is a redo of the special effects. No matter how far ahead of their time they were back then, now it looks horrible.
I am not looking forward to this animation I'm really not, B.5 was lightning in a bottle R.I.P cast members 🙏
