I think MANY of your subscribers would APPRECIATE a tutorial on how to USE the Mail App for Apple. I have Google as my home page and use GMAIL but would PREFER to use Apple Mail but can't figure out how to make a custom signature with my 'card' attached to it. THANK YOU for considering making such a video for your fans. Gratefully, Mac
Amazing. I’m a developer on Mac since over 20 years and in my arrogance I smiled at your headline … but i gave it a shot just to reinsure that nothing is new to me … but … 🎉 …most of them were and I’m happy and thankful!
Thanks for this tutorial. You are clear, concise, and will educate it on this topic that I would like to learn. I am subscribed to your channel and enjoy your work. Thanks again.
Been using Mac since 1986 (and Windows since it was DOS). Always neat to see stuff I didn’t know about beforehand. I think the built-in apps are great; much smoother integration than with most third party apps
Well I thought there were some really good ones in here to be reminded of - might start using the placing things in Finder headers as I've got so many items in my sidebar I struggle to find them!! - a useful one similar to the holding command to open in a new tab is that option+command clicking on a link opens in a new window - the command click also works on folders in the finder too (which is good when you want to leave the original folder open and not navigate away from it). Really pleased to know that one about the other image formats in Preview (saves me from launching PS just to convert a file)
Thank You. I am new to MAC I have only had my MAC BOOK Pro M3 Max for less than a month now, I had an iPAD Pro M4 and iPhone pro 15 MAX which is why I bought the MAC Book Pro and to do IOS Development apps I just dont know the MAC very well I am learning a log on my own. But I do appreciate your tips. I am computer Savvy so I love your through review. I still use my PC however have found that my MAC with the same basic specifications the MAC is faster than the PC.
Interesting tip on folder in top of finder window. I prefer to keep those in the dock. You can drag a folder to the dock (for example, next to the Downloads folder) and click it to see the contents and even open it in Finder. Very quick access.
You could also add "Desktops" to you tips. I keep different work stuff broken up into different desktops. This also allows me to share a screen/desktop during a call and not have other open windows potentially visible to those on the call.
Great video as always! The "reply to mail in downloads" feature. Is there a setting to turn that on or is that a newer feature as I'm running Ventura and it doesn't seem to happen on mine?
It would sure be nice if Microsoft would work on doing effective stuff like this, instead of just f***ing us over with ads and changes to the UI all the time.
Thank you so much for the inbox notification tip. How can you make this work for the iPhone and iPAD though, do you know? I still get notified on my Apple Watch if I get a new email that goes right into the Junk folder and on the iPhone and iPAD you don't have the same extended settings do you? I always wondered how Apple decides which notification settings to follow if they are different on the Mac vs the iPhone&iPAD
Wonderful and informative video, thank you. One thing I cannot get to work on my iPhone iPhone 15 Pro: if somebody sent me an invite using an ICS in Apple mail, I cannot add it to my calendar and accept it at the same time. It does not appear in the New event part of the calendar. Is there a trick? Thank you!
Any chance you could present some tips for manually putting PDF's videos and ebooks on an iPad. I currently use an android tablet because I can copy over files into a folder that I make of anything I want to view only tablet. At first glance it seems iPads are for buying things through a store and getting them added that way. All my magazines etc are through normal sites and I download them. I presume there must be an easy way but have not found one yet.
With your tips about Apple mail, will the tricks still work if you move the e-mail to a folder? In other words, does the hint follow the e-mil or does the e-mail have to stay in the inbox?
I'm interested in moving to a Mac and I'm curious which do you prefer, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air? And at this point the price isn't the objective but rather which do you prefer.
As always, the answer depends on what you're going to do with it. The Pro is a powerful beast and comes with a powerful pricetag! The Air is still very capable unless you are doing (for example) lots of video editing or something else that requires a bit more grunt power. My only suggestion at this point is that, since you are new to Mac, start with the Air. If you decide the Mac ecosystem is not for you ("burn the heretic!") then you will have spent a lot less money.
I couldn't get the right-click on System Settings in the dock tip to work until I discovered the issue: my System Settings window was already open, just buried under other windows. This tip works but you won't see that list if you already have System Settings open.
Please could you make a tutorial on this in your coming video or just tell a step-by-step method in the comments only? In Driving Focus there is an option to auto send a preset message to the person who has messaged you while you're in the Driving Focus mode while driving the car to avoid distractions but the limitation is that it only works with iMessage. So, I was thinking could help in creating an automation that will send the same sort of preset message whenever receive any message from a contact on WhatsApp while my Driving focus is enabled. Why WhatsApp? Because here in India everybody uses WhatsApp as their primary app/mode of communication Please consider this one in your coming video, please!!
And comment no one have use for… no need to watch video. Someone spend some time to make this video if it’s not usable on interested there is ton or interested videos 😃

Duck! I think I am addicted to this posh British accent...very nice content in nice pace.
Thanks Tom. The dragging things to the top of the finder window toolbar and the proper text redaction were new to me.

I've been using Macs since 1984. I didn't know about ANY of these tips. Thank you!
Your vids are always so well done.
Some great tips I wasn't aware of, thanks for sharing.

Thank for a very useful video.
Thanks, now will try grouping windows in MC.
But you're right, now we all are waiting for the new macOS.
Oh wow that tip about pinning files etc to the top of the finder is something I never knew about
Thanks for another great video!
Great set of tips, just have to remember them
Love your tips & tricks videos!
Thanks a lot Brother!

Sadly none of these tips come to mind when you actually need them 😪
I’ve been saving his videos for ages in the faint hope that one day I’ll actually learn more than ‘how to add accênts to tëxt’
@@KazrBrekker well that is a shame for you. I have a few that are very helpful saving time

absolut fantastic tips, where are you finding them brother :)
Finder window and dragging an app at the top! What. The. Heck! Didn't know that one
Former Apple employee. After 44 seconds I already whispered „wtf..“ about the email drag & drop into Reminders..
This makes me very happy 🙌🏻
@@ProperHonestTech you‘re a beast dude
Very useful 👌

FYI a third way to get to Mission Control is a 4-finger swipe up on the touchpad.

I can't seem to be able to pin anything to my finder window, is there a setting that has to be changed for this to work?
03:00 I drag documents and folders to pin them to Finder window, but they won't stay there. Any idea why?
Thanks for the great video! :)

Tab groups in Safari
Still like my Mac but so much of the OS is dysfunctional.
Calendar reminders useless - Address book useless and the Mail app is a mess.
Today suddenly I couldn’t airdrop a photo from my Mac to my iPhone. It angers me a lot.
wait you use safari and mail and calendar???!!!
🐬
“Productivity features” 😂🤮
The OS devs just tinkering with bells and whistles.
10 features I have no use for...
