can u please explain that in sulzer starting air valve, during valve opening time the air starting valve's drain valve activated, in this case does the air enter inside balance piston lower side get continuously drained through the drain valve during entire operation of the air starting valve or not?

MAN B&W - With the help of the control air, the rack nd pinion is moved ,so the ball valve is moved hence allowing the air to flow into the manifold .How the ball valve is closed again ?? Is there any spring arrangement?? to bring the ball valve to close position?

With the help of control air .
Control air for opening and closing is passed through direct control pneumatic valve which operates the master air starting valve in man b&w
