Thanks for showing the "putting it back together" steps instead of just saying "now do the opposite of all the steps in reverse order" like most other tutorials. Got my phone fixed easily with this.
@danielpenteado I left the frontal camera alone. Long story short, I needed a screen temporarily on my old phone so I could access data on it, since no other reasonable way worked. Didn't need a camera for that, so I didn't bother actually moving it. But I will say I did fiddle with the camera a bit out of curiosity and it was _stuck_ in there, so I probably would've applied heat to try to remove it if I had to.
One of the best repair guides I've seen so far, well done. A few extra steps I would add are: 1 Making sure no dust/hairs go into the cameras before installing the back cover 2 Adding some adhesive to the sides of the front camera to make sure it stays flat and doesnt move around 3 Replacing the back cover adhesive as reusing the older one will probably leave gaps which can cause dirt and water to get in more easily, leading to the cover detaching in the future.
I done this repair for my older brother who did not have insurance on his phone .I just done it and I'm really happy it's gone perfectly and the panel is great too
Some of the best instruction I’ve ever seen. I’m thoroughly impressed. I just replaced My screen with no complications thank you for making this content!
I just brought my phone back to life! Followed these steps (apart from removing the battery and front camera) without switching anything out, just pulling it apart and putting it back together. And now I know how to eventually replace my screen. Thanks a bunch! Saved me a lot of money
Sorry for late reply, I didn't have to replace anything, as far as I can tell, the connector had been knocked lose, so just taking it apart and then putting it back together brought the screen back to life.
Thank you so much for the detailed disassembly. When we ordered the new screen we messed up and got the screen only, but, we used your technique for heating up and using isopropyl alcohol along with the razor blade to remove the old screen. The purchased screen went on great and you can tell by the color and chip look the new screen was not factory, oh well. We gently fed the connector through the slot and lined up the new glass and pressed it in. Keep up the great work, you are AWESOME... Tony
Thank you for this video. Saved me $250. One thing you failed to mention, on the left side of the battery when back is off, there's a little narrow vertical strip that has 2 cross head screws as well that has to be put ink the new screen. Other than that, perfect video and thank you again from Texas.
Just got done following your tutorial, and I am so relieved to say that the hardest part was getting the backplate to readhere when I was finished. Thank you so much for this video! You saved me a ton of money, and your clear and detailed instructions made the whole process way easier and less terrifying than I expected.
Thanks for this. It helped me replace my cracked screen. Since I had it open I also bought a new charging port and battery replacement. People should be aware though that most new screens available are not like the original and are much less quality.
Wow! I used to do a bunch of these at my old job, we used the same method with the heat mat MINUS the isopropyl alcohol. I don't know why i never thought of that! It's genius!

I have a broken screen and a back broken cover, do you have any advice on where is reliable to order both of these parts from to replace them with myself?
I have a question real quick did you have to put new glue or did the new phone screen already come with glue so the back would stick on like originally

iso breaks the chemical bond in adhesives, so the adhesive left on the original back would now be inadequate in my opinion. Does the replacement housing come with adhesive preapplied? Is my camera now just..."sitting loose" in the housing? With the back just...clipped on? (serious question I want my s22 ultra back this damn lg stylo 2 pissin me off)
I think the mid frame chassis is designed to carry any heat away from the battery anyway. Adding .5mm to the battery would leave the back cover sat high too
I've had a bit of crack on my s22 ultra for sometime now and recently i can see a visible vertical line from the crack postion. Does this mean that the screen is broken and not just the glass?
908U is the Version for the United States. 908E is international, 9080 is China, 908W is Canada. The difference is US Version is with Snapdragon CPU and International with Exynos CPU. Apart from that I don't think there is a difference. So if you buy a Replacement Kit it should fit for Snapdragon and Exynos
what can we heat up w at home? i have precious family pictures on my phone i need to save, the phones dropped many times. is it safe to replace screen only?
they done this on a phone I just bought ,since if pushed ,games or benchmarks run and heat up ,screen not coming on ,can hear clicking ,even fingeprint work just no screen. have to wait a bit to cool down then everything ok or sometimes restart ,what they missed while changing screen?
Thanks for showing the "putting it back together" steps instead of just saying "now do the opposite of all the steps in reverse order" like most other tutorials. Got my phone fixed easily with this.
Did you use a heat gun to release the frontal camera?

For everyone wondering where to get a screen from, Amazon is your best bet, just put in your model and make sure it has fingerprint capabilities.
What should I use to stick the back cover? Some kind of glue or it just stick like that without nothing ?
Do you have to re-heat the adhesive before reassembling the phone?
did you need to reglue the Rear glass? or so what did you use? or did it snap together?
What's the part number or part called that is the front screen frame with components on it already?

Would replacing the battery glue with thermal pads be beneficial? Guess 0.5mm~1.0mm pads would be suitable
I think the mid frame chassis is designed to carry any heat away from the battery anyway. Adding .5mm to the battery would leave the back cover sat high too
If you don't have a heat pad or heat gun, can you just use a hairdryer or put the phone in the oven for awhile?
can.. of course
