Sam has said that they don’t always plan what they’re going to do, that Ren just generally adjusts to whatever Sam sings, whether he knows the song or not. I am so glad they posted this improv because we don’t get to see this very often. 💜
Ren is definitely talented enough to change things up!
It's called a loop pedal. It records and plays back short loops of music.
I've seen other artists do this... what a great way to play live!
You've seen that church and street in another Ren video and didn't even know it! The Animal Flow video was filmed in the apartment building across the street from the church. At the end of that video you'll also see the church when Ren walks outside. It's right there when he opens the door then they stand there in the street.
ALSO if you want to see an AMAZING artist that uses loop pedals and other pedals to create the sound of a whole band then you should check out Mike Love and his song "Let it Rain". He's from Hawaii and plays island/reggae style music and the whole song he's singing, playing acoustic guitar and moving his feet all over the oedao board at the same time to turn on and off the various pedals controling the different sounds he's made using just his guitar and mouth as the drum beat. I don't know how this guy is not bigger than he already is. Seriously it's insane watching him.
Awesome reaction as always!
AhHA!! Animal Flow too!! 💡 Thanks for the new suggestion! I've seen people use these loop machines before and it's so cool!
The filming was great and the performance was so much fun.
I really liked the black and white and the close ups!
I find this one just incredible, such talent! Great reaction.
I loved it too! Thanks!
Thank you ❤ for digging this up, @MrsRealistic! Yes, the rap bridge was Love Music, Pt. 1.
I still have to cover all 3 of those!!
@@MrsRealisticthere is 4 now

It's a great way to play live!

Haha! I wish I was even a blip on their radar 🤣
@@MrsRealistic same
It is Ship Street, Brighton. Some of the later Big Push videos on You Tube were filmed at the other end of the street. The church building behind them in this video is the Fabrica gallery and performance space.
Thanks for the info! 😁
Brilliant ❤️
Thank you 😊
As multiple people have said, Ren is using a "loop station." The jist of it is that you tap a foot pedal on it and that starts recorsing whatever you play. Then, you tap it a second time and it plays the recorded section over and over on a "loop." Some people are so good at it that they can loop 5-10 different parts together to make an entire song.
I've seen a few really cool videos of people using these... what a cool apparatus!
Both Ren and Sam are amazing at what they do, Love your reaction as always. Thank you
Thank you! They're always a joy to listen to!
Thanks!
You're welcome!! 😊👍 And thank you!
That was super fun
I loved it!!!

Thank you for the heads up! 😊👍
Let's go❤🎉
Guitar looper!
I've seen other artists use them... what a great way to play live!
Ah yes, the loop machine! If you haven't heard of Kishi Bashi, I recommend his Tiny Desk concert. Saw him live once and he was looking for people to have drinks with. My gf (at the time) didn't want to go, but I regret that we didn't. The guy is super talented!
Cool! I'll look it up! Thank you!
I just watched it! What a unique guy! His music and voice are just beautiful!
@@MrsRealistic Yes, he is quite unique and interesting. He is still making records (yes, vinyl records) today.
@@knowsomething9384 I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!!
@@MrsRealistic I hadn't listened to the Tiny Desk concert for a while, so I went back to his page. Apparently, his music was used on Rick And Morty. I know that a few years back it was in some big commercials. He is still doing tours in relatively small venues. I want him to have success, of course, but I don't know how his performances would scale to full stadiums. He's a creative guy, though, so he'd probably figure it out. Anyway, I mentioned him because of the loop machine and because he's done a fair amount of busking, like Ren. Glad you had the chance to get a listen.
🥂 for the algorithm.
As always, much ❤ from 🇨🇦!
These guys have limited talent.
Mind you, of all that we have seen from them so far, we have yet to see the limitations of their talents.
Do you mean UNlimited talent? 😉
@@MrsRealistic no, I meant limited.
But I also know that their standards of limited is not on the same as us mere mortals, be assured of that. LOL
@@michaelmacdonald334 Haha! Got it!
Can I ask you some more questions about using a green screen?
Absolutely!! I hope I didn't miss any of your other questions! Sometimes I don't get the notifications!
Do you record your green screen first and then record your review or do you record it all at the same time? How much editing do you have to do before you release your video? Thank you for all your help. @@MrsRealistic
@@christincrawford No problem! Any way I can help! So, we have a green screen that rolls down from the ceiling, since we don't have a designated "RUclips room" and we have my hubby's office/work station right behind me. I pull it down, and have lights on each side (look up how to light a green screen, it's really helpful!)...I film everything all at once... this is why I use Streamlabs OBS because it allows you to record your reaction as it happens. When you are in Streamlabs you use the green screen filter which will automatically get rid of anywhere that's green (where I have the green screen pulled down behind me)... and it just shows up as see-through. I had to watch a lot of videos to learn about it, but they were really great for a beginner like me. When I started I had NO idea what I was doing. We've tried different things here and there, but the way we have it set up now is by far the best. I only have the one video to edit afterwards and it's pretty simple.
Thank you so much. I'm going to start playing with Streamlabs. @@MrsRealistic
@@christincrawford Yeah!! And watch as many RUclips videos as you can! It was really helpful for me! Have fun!
