For those complaining on why they didn't just tell the elder brother about it, did you see the way he reacted? He left the girl for his brother but went to the emperor to complain TO THE FREAKING EMPEROR, he never stopped to consider how much it would affect the whole household and their reputation if word got out, he only wanted to bask in his little brothers glory. They couldn't just say "yeah, they were switched but it got switched back" because it's a big fat scandal, the woman's reputation will be dashed and in those days, a woman's virtue is everything not to mention the guy's standing in court, it would have been affected too and it almost had been if the emperor didn't back him up. It only happened in court so a few ministers got to listen but if it was just at home? Oh you best believe the girl would have been crucified regardless of who's fault it was. Their children will also be forever known as bastard children so no. She wasn't a pushover, she knew the pro's and cons if word got out so she decided to be silent about some arguments that could spill everything. IT'S NOT AS EASY AS YOU THINK.
The elder brother was a fool and came back just to enjoy his brother's glory so telling him would have just led to blackmail as the FL predicted. Also , the mother that caused everything just stood aside and said nothing, in my opinion, she was the worst villain of them all.
This was stupid. It’s all the mother’s fault. Clearly the dude didn’t like her u forced him to marry her now the son back to rep the benefits of his brother now you wanna change up like wtf this was really weird. The mother didn’t want to be blamed for her wrong doing but make it seem like it’s the girl like u made them have sex have two kids 5 years later u want them to go back to be brother an sister make it make sense
I swear the purpose of this plot is only to highlight how clever and devoted the ML is.
He is there to solve everything for the FL and even at the most challenging moment, he rises to the occasion to save the situation. Sure …. All hail the ML 😅

2nd Version, the first Version the ML was younger than the FL but they somehow made it work out for them, this was also decent, I liked how the ML was always ready to give up everything for her and how he couldn't keep his mouth, hands, legs away from her when they were together 😅😂😂, disliked FLs insecurities without even voicing her feelings 😬. At first, I hesitated to watch bc I read the comment section that the fl is a pushover. They were right, but i didn't find her annoying or anything. based on my understanding, his mother used the ml to marry his brother, who at the time was having a fling to a maid in the fl house. Maybe it's one of the reasons that the fl is chosen in blind date to bring along the maid or something. When they got married, they tied up the ml to make 2nd ml to partner the fl, but the maid(2nd fl) didn't want to be a concubine, so they elope they make the ml believe that the fl suggests the exchanged bc she fall in love to the 2nd ml, and they make the fl believe that the ml didn't like her that's why the exchanged groom, 2nd ml fake his death and make the mother feel anxious about the eldest descendants. She drug the fl and ml that result to twin children. Then, after 5-6 years, the 2nd ml come back, wanting to promote 2nd fl and their son. But ml keep denying their existence that's they tried to ruined fl reputation but failed. Until in banquet in the princess mansion. The mother wants ml to marry the princess. They drug him but were saved by fl and her maid. The 2nd fl tells the princess that the fl is pregnant and poison her to a miscarriage that the ml and fl relationship to public. The 2ml and 2fl complained to the emperor, but it was revealed that the emperor knew what was happening. Bc ml asks the emperor for a marriage decree for ml and fl when they got married so legally the ml and fl are married. When I was watching this, I kept comparing this to other versions, but as I finished, I realized that the fl's situation is different. The other version is through arranged marriage has gone through hardship to raise her husband(2nd ml) family especially the ml so she is domineering but these one fl come from prominent family pampered. She is heartbroken. Believe to her husband, that the ml didn't want her bc so much time has passed, but the ml didn't m eet her that day or the following days to explain until they are drug. She Believe it is just ml being responsible to her, but she always protects him. Even at the cost of being wronged. Bc fl how important is reputation to an official so she didn't want the ml to reveal their relationship. So I didn't feel the fl of is annoying like they say.
This 2nd male lead and 2nd fl in this plot their work is to sneak his brother ,is there any work that they do ,its nothing ,love ml knows how to protect his lover

Awww it was a short plot line but actually pretty well written. Not too much “over the top” acting or cheesy scenes. I recognize the FL and she gave a solid performance ..and ML was def infatuated with her so also solid performance. Sometimes the kiss scenes … mixed feelings because it looked passionate but maybe the camera angle was off? But the ear and neck angles were done well and created a very seductive mood. The kids were cute but seemed irrelevant and the mother’s dislike was a bit hard to understand since she literally created the mess in the first place. But overall if you just focus on their chemistry - they really make a cute pair ❤️
This FL is the most frail I have ever seen. Woman you have two children if nothing else grow a freaking pair and fight back. To me she is the least likable character with her meek self.
Yeah that was my thought too, like its obvious that the ml likes he can't keep his hands off her. She is all like he is just being responsible if that was that case he would sleep with her again after that night. She get upset at the thought that he will marry someone else like she didn't turn his marriage proposal down herself. She can't turn him down then get upset he will be with someone else he can't remain unmarried forever. She was just annoying had it not been for ml and his chemistry with fl i would not have e bothered to finish this.

There's 2 versions the circumstances of the 2nd ML coming back is WAY different. In the other version, he went to war and was gone for 15 YEARS! Leaving his young bride to shoulder the burden of providing for both in-laws and a younger brother. But homegirl worked it!
Then husband comes back, AFTER his younger brother is a high official. And him and his side chick want to kick the wife out after she's been managing everything for 15 years.

The one to blame for the whole mess. Is the mother, if it had not been for her, this whole ordeal would not have gotten as big as it did. The fl who was originally meant for the ml. Was tied up and replaced with the 2ml because her pride got in the way. Not only does the 2ml consummates the marriage with the fl, but he fakes his death to elope with the 2fl. As a result, the mother drugs the very two people that she separated and put them in bed together, so they that the ml could impregnate the fl so as to leave decendays for her " dead " son. Only to find out 5 or 6 yrs later, he isn't dead, but a live and well with a " wife " and child. Yeah, way to go ma! You've earned yourself the mother of the generation award for sure!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I don't like comparing but damn 1st version was better, she was stronger, dealt with them accordingly and they can't even mess with her, they got punished while this one, she's just there letting them walk all over her, she can't even mutter the courage to talk back or fight yoh 🙄. Not my type of plot. It would never cross my mind to sleep with my BIL for whatever reasons even if he was hot as hell.
It's kind of something that actually happens even to this day, to get women pregnant some ahole families do force women to get together with brother in law. Our childhood maid was such case, it's something that happens, everyone knows but they close eye and mouth. And it's not brides choice ever they have no say in it.
