Can I thank you again for providing these recipes in smaller portions.....you really are filling a need for people who don't want 8+ portion cakes that either get wasted or need to be eaten in excess. Wish more RUclipsrs would follow your lead!
Saw this recipe this morning. I went straight to my husband and told him about it. Want to make it for his birthday this weekend. His face light up like a Christmas tree! German Chocolate cake is his favorite cake! I can't thank you enough for these recipes for two, just love them. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. D.
That is so cool. My hubby's is on Sunday so it is a double treat for him, I'm also making your cinnamon rolls too for breakfast. He loves those as well. Thanks D.@@LeighAnneWilkes
I really appreciate your small batch recipes. So far I've made the Olive Garden breadsticks, focaccia and French bread recipes and all were very good. It's so nice not to have tons of leftovers to freeze or go to waste. This German chocolate cake is delicious! I baked it in my air fryer on bake at 150 C for about 28 minutes and it turned out great. The icing is divine! Thank you!
I enjoy these small batch recipes. I've had GCC a couple of times and enjoyed it, so I will make this when the summer temperatures get cooler. I usually don't have BM but I read regular milk with a couple of teaspoons of distilled white vinegar works well.
I made this recipe, it is great! - Thank you! Can you do a recipe for a Black Forest Cake? I would really like to do one of these cakes, but every recipe I have seen is massive.
Thank you for these recipes. I have seen you a couple times before but wanted more recipes because there is just me and my husband and I keep on overcooking for just us thank you🤗😋🙃😊
Tried making the cake into cupcakes, OMG, it was SO good! I did the icing the lazy way which I had some Betty C german chocolate cake icing. Just WOW! And perfect for me and my daughter. It makes SIX cupcakes! 350 for 15 minutes in a convection oven.
Oatmeal Cake ... sort of a spice cake using oatmeal as a base along with flour and other ingredients. You bake it, then add on the topping of coconut, butter, brown sugar, and pecans ... and broil ever so carefully until the nuts and coconut toast ... IT'S DELICIOUS!!!
Ok, I've watched this several times. At the 3:38 you say to add buttermilk to sugar mixture. Then at 3:44 you say to only half buttermilk to sugar mixture then half of flour mixture and repeat. So I'm a little confused.....
I love Droste cacao too and have been using it for decades. It makes every chocolate dessert taste spectacular. One of my great-grandpas was born and raised in Holland, where Droste has been made for over 200 years. It's real Dutch-processed cocao. There's nothing better. 😊
I saw a recipe for a pineapple/pecan/coconut dump cake. In a 9x12 pan. Looks so delicious but way way too much. Can you do a recipe for a scratch dump cake like this. I think it would be awesome!!!

It truly is the best - I have a lot of Dutch ancestry too!
Delicious! For anyone that needs gluten-free, I used King Arthur's Measure for Measure flour.
Good to know - thanks for sharing!

My cake didn’t rise as much as yours.
Make sure your ingredients are fresh, especially your baking soda
