After shopping around for a "comfortable e-bike" I finally landed on the Tower Bike Cruiser after comparing it to many others from both Specialized and TREK. So far so good...the bike is super comfortable to ride on paved bike paths along the beachfront which is what I wanted in a bike. The motor assist they use is variable and strong, the on board computer is a nice touch and programmable, the hydraulic brakes are very powerful, the light in the front is nice and the look is COOL and laid back! What impressed me most about the bike was the customer service that I received both before, during and after the sale. The staff at Tower really want their customers to be happy and spread the word to others as they feel that word of mouth is the best form of advertising. I am also a fan of Mark Cuban and was happy to support one of his business endeavours.
The profit margin must be insane on these things. $750 worth of battery and motor and electronics on what's basically a Wal-Mart cruiser. Edit: i just noticed the price in the title has been edited from $3.7k to $1.7k. That seems a bit more realistic. Edit2: Their website shows it marked down from $3,750 to $1,695 so this likely wasn't a typo on the video. Wow.
Thats more than 750 worth of battery and motor. Batteries like this retail for about $500. Thats just the battery. Not the cradle and controller, cables or paying the person to install it. Those spokes are custome cut 12ga spokes. Retailing for around $1 each. Thats a custom tuned motor. Its gonna run about 3 to 400 on its own and then still have to be laced into a wheel. Thats probably about another 100$ worth of work plus the cost of rim and spokes. Theres easily 1k retail value in this before theres even a bike frame involved.
metamorphicorder you may be right but for that kind of money they could throw in a water bottle cage or chain guard or fenders or rear cargo bracket or all of it. This a nice bike but it is stripped down.
@@AdamsHadEnough 3700 ,WAAAAT! lmao no way anyone would pay that,no way, 1700 is not to bad considering some of the ridiculous prices companies are asking these days, check out the Wildsyde The Beast review or the Mod Bikes Easy, your head will explode.
Initial response: Got this bike for my friend. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ Delivery was fast. And the friend was surprised I would order it when she had never suggested she wanted anything but the pedal bike she had. She has now ridden the bike two times and gives it a 10 and says it is very fun. We have some hills in our town that are very challenging to climb on a typical bike. But tonight she went up with the pedal assist and loved it. I was way behind on my standard bike, huffing and puffing. Now she is no longer lagging behind me. This thing is powerful enough that a person could go around town without any pedaling. She likes to get some exercise so on flat ground she hits the red button to turn off pedal assist and only uses the twist throttle when she's in a tough spot. The bike looks good. It is really a very nice bike for the friend. Now for me, when I get an electric bike, I'm twice her size and will be looking for a bigger watt motor and battery. But this one is just wonderful for my friend. I am happy with this purchase.

Where is this review being filmed? Love the mountains in the background.
My old Schwinn cruiser had the same special U lock storage feature long before U locks were even invented.
The most important thing is the price. It seems like a great bike, but if it's $2k it's way over priced. Now if it's $500. It's a good deal.
You must be new to the E bike world
Where the hell do these companies come up with these prices? Just saying who in the hell would pay that for such a small wattage e bike
David Amazing A sucker with stupid money would buy it
David Amazing the prices are insane
Can't believe how expensive those lights are. I got the same lights on eBay £7 for the the pair
What's the use of a beach cruiser that doesn't have any rack/basket space for a towel and pair of flip/flops?
reinplat all that cost extra
Or beer holder... A must in Germany😅
A real beach cruiser is as basic as it gets - not even fenders. It's why they look so cool. You're thinking of a version of your mom's old Schwinn.

I have to agree with you and I don't have a problem with ebikes selling at this price point. This bike is indeed way over priced.
For real

This is the dark side of capitalism. Don't get me wrong I love the free market but paying 1700 for a 500 dollar bike is asinine.
nice quality product
I still don’t get the camera filming of shoes and pedals going round and round, shows me nothing worthwhile.
Magical
No long pants riding for sure
that helmet looks like my mommys fruit bowl
i like it, seventeen hundred doesn't sound like a bad price
It was originally listed at $3700 when the video was first posted.

Over priced, under powered, and made in China. Hard pass.
