Ever since the people who work for the Walt Disney Company had acquired the rights to Lucasfilm Ltd in 2012, I had often wondered why the Walt Disney Pictures logo wasn't included before the opening main title scene of the recent Star Wars films (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, Rogue One, Solo). I was sort of expecting that. If the people who work for the Walt Disney Company were going to present new Star Wars films, they could've at least had the Walt Disney Pictures logo included.
According to Bob Iger, it was for “the fans”. Prior to the accusation, a well known tradition for the Star Wars movies was, at the beginning, hearing the famous 20th Century Fox fanfare followed by the silence when reading, “A Long Time Ago, In a Galaxy Far Far Away”. He knew people were gonna miss that when The Force Awakens came out and would probably be weirded out seeing the family friendly Disney castle appear instead. So they decided to just not have the Disney logo shown and instead just begin the films with the silent Lucasfilm logo. That’s kinda similar to how the Disney logo isn’t shown on any of the MCU films
@@superjackster0165 I see. Well, if the the Walt Disney Pictures logo had been included before the beginning of the recent Star Wars films, I wouldn't be weirded out by it at all.
