Caleb , a lot of the more skilled anglers/tournament guys...especially successful RUclipsrs always talk about the signs and I think most know how to see a boil, blowup, tails, and wakes. Also, those same people will say o just find the structure and current. What a lot of skilled redfish anglers won’t tell you is the seasonalities and what areas to target throughout the different seasons and I’m slowly trying to learn that but it’s difficult to say the least. You always wonder how certain guys can go hammer them year round whether is 30-40 degrees in January or the tough spring bite from March-mid June . Touching on the seasonal patterns and areas to target for those seasons would be helpful Caleb. Tight lines brotha
This is awesome so glad you posted this been watching all the videos and by far the most helpful youtuber out there, hope the channel gets huge...Capt Caleb nation!
Caleb, thank you for putting out these videos. Information like this just isn't floating around on the internet, especially for free. I'm learning a lot! Can't wait to book a trip with you in the future and learn from you on the water!
Love the videos man! I’m a new subscriber but keep up the great work! Love redfish. I’m a yaker and everything you said in this videos is exactly what I look for!
Now that is helpful! Making a trip down to Rockport on the 23rd of this month, I will definitely be using your insights. Now it is just a matter of getting my eyes to work. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the videos. I've always heard people say they see shrimp popping, or mullet running, or shad jumping, etc.. can you help me understand what each bait looks like and which ones are beneficial. And the small minnows I see in the marsh, are those good?
Could you do a video over rods? Right now i have a medium light(soft plastics), medium(hard plastic/topwater) and medium heavy(popping cork) all fast action and about 7ft. My question is what is your preferences on rods for each type of lure that you throw? I wonder for instance if a medium moderate action would be better that a medium light fast action or if it’s all preference. Thanks in advance
Yeah I agree, a lot of more skilled anglers especially RUclipsrs always talk about the signs and I think most know how to see a boil, blowup, tails, and wakes. Also, those same people will say o just find the structure and current. This was the most helpful fishing video I've ever seen. Solid information. So much better than just watching a guy catch fish. Thank you! Keep them coming.
I have a question about the difference in working soft plastics if you have time on a future video I would like to know how you work a soft plastic for a flounder versus a red fish versus a trout
I was just pointing it out ...I am trying to get my channel going been hitting all kinds of hurdles but I think I got it ready now ...so I kinda got good hearing I can hear the rise and fall of sounds love ur channel by the way it's going to help me with mine to be a better fishing person
i’m building myself a jon boat skiff, trying to use some of these techniques you talk about. i will shoot you and email of some pics if the tips pay off. thanks for the advice!
@@CaptCalebTV at the beginning you mentioned the company that made the led lit redfish and I thought you said it was Two Way customs. I looked, but couldn't find the company.
Whatch out for feeding stingrays,,, they look like feeding reds, if you can't tell what they are,,, you'll know after casting a grub or two at them and they don't take it... this weekend I ran into feeding stingrays, after casting everything at them my buddy caught one with an artificial shrimp only to have a small shark came after it. We popped smoke and left the area.
I try to put everything in my left pocket! 😂. Jk. It’s just practice and thumb control. Tighten up the tension knob and/or the brakes and loosen them as you get used to it.
Spotting a Boil(s) from a Redfish should only signal to you where a Redfish WAS; he's gone now, but , at best, they are still in the area nearby. Lots of boils indicates a school of Reds. Now spotting a cast out beyond the point of the wake to intercept the fish.Tight Lines !!!
Most of the time yes. Sometimes, no. I’ve won a couple tournaments by casting into boils when I saw them. They aren’t always running. Sometimes they are boiling bc they are eating things.
Caleb great points on descriptions on how to spot Red Fish. I am working my way through your channel, and enjoying immensely.
This has been talked about on the Bite Me Podcast over and over but it is really nice to see the visuals added in. Very well done. Thanks Caleb.
Always good nail on head videos. Thanks.
Best redfish video I’ve seen yet. Well done bud.
Spent the day with Captain Caleb, he helped me understand what I was seeing. If you get a chance book with him.
Thanks!

Thanks Capn! Great video!
Very helpful info! Thanks.
Looking forward to some in person training next week!
You have gone over boating and lure types, but could you go through rod/reel combos as well as line type/weight/mono/braid? Best and worst?
Awesome video. And thank you for the lesson
Never really thought about the actual size of the slick. I’ve been throwing too close to big slicks. Thanks again captain. You da man!
Keep it up amigo. Next time your down around Corpus give me a shout!
Perfect timing I pick my boat up tomorrow
Thanks for the great video! Visuals really help. I would always get confused between mullet and red slick.
Thanks for the videos. I've always heard people say they see shrimp popping, or mullet running, or shad jumping, etc.. can you help me understand what each bait looks like and which ones are beneficial. And the small minnows I see in the marsh, are those good?
I’ll do a video on that as soon as I can

Done deal! On the list.
Thanks for the info. Hardest time finding the reds.
Great video. Also cool redfish sign. Tried looking up 2A customs on google. No luck. Can you help out with any info on them. Thanks
This is great info, wow.
Gonna try and fish the surf with soft plastic this weekend gonna take your advice and look for some guts hopefully I can catch some fish!
Redfish patterns? For the next q&a.

What was going on at 10minute mark. Tripled up? Or were they just turning themselves in
Ethan Melville full surrender
Could you give a link to where you got the sign
I’m not that sophisticated, but 2A Customs on Facebook or Instagram. Their profile pic is of a sign.

Do you have a link to Two Way Customs?
Not overly sure what this is, honestly.

Ahhhhh. 2A Customs.

More good info.
Good video. Can you "smell" redfish? I've always heard the watermelon smell associated with trout.
Some smell, but different than the watermelon smell of a trout.
How can we set up a trip?

What is the difference between a red snapper and a red fish???

Thanks for the added info David! I meant to throw this in there, but it didn’t make it! Glad you pointed it out.
Badass
How can I get my bait caster to stop getting bird nest
I try to put everything in my left pocket! 😂. Jk. It’s just practice and thumb control. Tighten up the tension knob and/or the brakes and loosen them as you get used to it.
Redfish farts. Lmao. Gonna use that one!
I still feel like I can follow everything you say and catch nothing but trout!!! Idk just my luck.. I will need to book a trip.
My cousins make those

Anytime your buddy says he saw dozens of redfish waking but couldn’t catch any, he meant he saw a bunch of mullet.
Redfish farts made me giggle and I'm 61 yrs old😁
“If you see a redfish, you know they’re there.” 🤦🏻♂️
I mean, hey... 😂
This has me dying 😂😂😂
You should shedule a LIVE Q&A some time so that we can pick your brain!
I’ve been thinking about that
