Your experience must be different than mine, but from what I have seen for every one church that sacrifices good theology on the altar of unity, you will find 100 churches sacrificing unity on the altar of someone's preferred theology.
I would accept that characterization if you had put spiritual in quote marks. For that spirituality really is false. But it feels good, so people accept it easily. In reality, selfishness is toxic to spirituality. That is why novices undergo an intensive training in denying their own will before they can progress further up the ladder described by St. John Climacus in his "The Ladder". Even love, the final step of his ladder, cannot coexist with selfishness.
@@Stastylen I think the problem is in your dichotomy. While wrong beliefs are part of the equation, the real dichotomy is between good and evil. Those who have done evil will be condemned, and those who have done good will be saved. But no one is truly good because all of us have sinned against God, each other, and even ourselves. So Jesus gave his own morally good and perfect life on our behalf and took on our sins. When someone agrees (believes/trusts) that this exchange happened for them and that their own “goodness” really wasn’t that great to begin with, they are saved. So the problem isn’t belief alone. It’s how the person is justified: either by God (who saves) or by self (who will never measure up to perfection). This standard was put in place by God; if humans made it up, they would be condemning themselves as well. The “segregation” was enacted by humans, thinking that goodness could be attained without God. He created us unified and we divided ourselves against him and each other.
Alisa, God bless you and your speakers. The work you and your speakers are doing in this space is so vital. It puts a language around the spirit that is behind what is happening currently in a lot of churches. It certainly helped me make sense of it all and am now more confident than before standing for the truth of the word of God.
I appreciate the time and effort you have put into your videos. I also want to let you and others know a couple very important things. First the Lord tells us to go out into the world and give people the best news ever. IN Mark 16:15 he commands us too "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature". I take this command very serious. In this world we do not find real peace, real truth, nor real joy. We can have all of these things they are found in Jesus and only him. So many are feeling hopeless in this world where good is called evil and evil is called good. We can have perfect hope, and peace, joy, and truth, but only through Jesus. He gives hope to the hopeless. Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; He gives peace when there is no peace. 2Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. There is truth, hope and real peace but only in Jesus. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Please call upon Jesus today.
I think definition of terms is important because various people may interpret unity or oneness in different ways. We don't throw out spiritual truth simply because the words we use are also used by someone else and they have a different meaning. The truth is we ARE one in Christ. We are in unity of Spirit (Eph 4) in Him. We are not becoming one and we are not coming into unity with Him, we already are and we are simply "working out" this heavenly reality into earthly experience.
@@waynehampson9569 It covers both. Thinking we are separate bodies brings the false ideas of racism and judgment as well as the false idea of being bodies and not spirit.

As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” “I am the vine, you are the branches. I fought. I was in a certain church for 15 years. The senior pastor was/is a friend of mine, but then he started to buy into the Marxism hitting Christianity from within. I spoke out against him falling prey to this ideology. I'll shorten the story. What ended up happening is I gave my testimony about what Jesus did for me, and everything he save me from. My friend responded, "But had you been black, everything would have been worse." Anyway, I left that church, since his ability to properly shepherd is severely compromised. I've recently found out that church has seen a massive exodus of Christians. They are down to 2 staff members in that church; they had 10. They don't have children's church anymore, because they no longer have anyone to watch kids. They move from 2 services back to 1... the church I used to be a part of is all but dead. I wonder when my friend will learn his lesson that God is currently teaching him.
Richard Rohr's writings are beautiful, and they remind us of how we can get closer to God and Jesus by emulating mystics rather than literal fundamentalists who are been made to believe that the Bible along with Christianity fell from heaven. Walk in to one of those fundamentalist evangelical Churches and there is a very good chance where you will walk out and loose the bit of faith you had in Christianity.

Alisa Childers had a wonderful conversation with outspoken and well-known progressive Christian Lisa Gungor! It’s on a channel called “Unbelievable,” check it out!! It was a wonderful and productive dialogue where both women got to talk on an equal level about their faith and their beliefs. Very good stuff.
And, of course, Christ Himself said that Christianity is divisive, so we should not expect everyone to agree with us nor should we expect people won't be offended. To the contrary, we should be suspicious when we "agree" with the world or when the world doesn't find us offensive.
I completely disagree with Christians adopting New Age ideas for the sake of unity. However, what seems to be a much bigger issue is the division in the church. Looking at Paul's dealing with the church in Corinth, unity is an absolute must. He did not expect perfection but had very high expectations for the church to be united.
What a mess! People complicate life. Forget about all the labels people are making up. It’s a way of dividing you and keeping you away from God. Truth is simple. Truth is.
Many times what we fear in others is the hidden unconscious behavior and impulses that we have not cleared from within our deepest selves. Until we are willing to look at hidden fears or subconscious beliefs, we can easily project or transfer our beliefs onto other people, especially with our unconscious impulses or pain body. In support to better recognize mind control implants or negative beliefs clouding the subconscious layers of the mind, below is a list of the most common polarity archetypal thoughtforms used for creating slave mentality in the masses. As you extract fear based control and negative polarity thoughtforms from ruling the mind, replace these thoughts with self-love, self-acceptance and self-worth. Intend to Identify, Locate, Remove and Repair these archetypal thought forms in your Unconscious, Instinctual and Conscious Mind: Victim - Victimizer Predator - Prey Master - Slave Rich Tyrant - Poor Serf Royalty - Peasant Famous is Important - Not Famous is Insignificant Beautiful - Ugly Accept Abuse and Sociopathy Accept Paltry Condition/Deprivation Apathy/Lack of Interest Being Seen and Not Heard Carry Out Orders/Obey Do Not Question Authority Enforce the Law Fear of Punishment/Pain Females are Breeders/Objects Kill the Infidel or Nonconformist Powerlessness/Helplessness Submit to External Power Unworthiness/Low Rank Women and Children subservient to Male Pleasure War and Killing is necessary Electronic forms of mind control are unseen by most and yet they can be embedded virtually anywhere in our environment, radiating these belief systems into our deepest psyche. Most commonly it is directed into the subconscious mind when watching movies or interacting with any kind of media that has negative messages that portray humanity in deviant and depraved images. Be aware of these archetypes of control and where you may have weakness that plays out these thoughtforms in your sense of identity, from the narratives playing out in your mind. It is necessary to clear out these negative labels of association and to reframe your sense of identity with something that is heart based and meaningful to you. Essentially, we must drop our storyline and create a new one that includes unconditionally loving ourselves. We suggest connecting with the eternal god self, that which transcends all polarity and all narratives into pure loving kindness and compassionate witnessing. Affirm: I AM the Eternal Self and I Know who I AM!
I have been listening to Alissa's videos for awhile now, and I doubt it very much if she believes any of the stuff on conservative Christianity that she promotes either. Alissa knows that there's only one road that we can travel, and that's the road ahead. To me the most important thing is to follow the way of Jesus, rather than holding on to the traditional Christian claims made about him.
Jesus addresses the theology of oneness in John 17.20-24 King James Version 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. So we are one with the Father and the Son. God created his wholeness in everything He created. He could do no less for He is whole and Holy as is his creation. IN this world we think we are divided into separate beings. Guilt separates us. Blaming separates us. Forgiveness unites us into our true creation as love. Fighting for truth doesn't do that. Sacrificing as in battle doesn't do that. Accepting all of us as holy through forgiveness does that. Matt 12.7 "But if ye had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless." So we are all united in love. Jesus even included the plant kingdom in that unity. " It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it." The plant acts out of love and in faith to provide a resting place for birds. So the unity is love which we reach through faith, and nothing else.
Personally, I enjoy theology. I find it tremendously helpful! But not everyone is interested in it, and I understand why... Sometimes it seems to cause stumbling blocks that lead into legalism. The good news is, theology will not matter in the end. The thief on the cross wasn't debating theology with Jesus when he was saved. He simply repented and believed, and now he is with our risen Lord in Paradise. 🙏❤️ "Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away." Amen. -Corinthians 13:8-10
Hi! I’m not disagreeing with you, but I’m wondering why you made the connection between discussing theology and legalism? I don’t really see how discussing theology leads to legalism?
@@mcgheebentle1958 Hello, no worries! I have seen many people who study theology fall into legalism, because they accidentally felt that theology matters more than the gospel. Theology does not lead to salvation, only the gospel does. I've also noticed that, when I try and discuss theology with other Christians, they either want to argue about it, or they get stressed out, and it puts a damper on both of our faith. Paul speaks of this, and cautions us to consider other people's level of faith, as well as their own gifts. We are all working as a team, some people enjoy serving the Lord by fasting, others by discussing theology, others by working for the church, etc. So if my theology stresses someone out, it's like I just put my leg out for them to trip over, as they were running free and joyful in Christ. At the end of the day, our knowledge will not matter-- because Jesus will make everything known to all of us. The good news of the gospel is: once we realize we are sinners in rebellion against God, and we repent and put our faith in Christ, then we are saved and no one can take us out of His hand. So yes, I like theology. But many of my Christian friends don't. And that's okay. We're all still saved believers.
@@simplenaturevids Huh, that’s a weird way to view it. When I study theology, I have a deeper understanding of the Gospel. Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to work? The more you grow in your theology, the more intimately you understand the Gospel. Just to be clear, legalism is a doctrine that states that works alone can bring salvation, yes? Most theologians are very adamant about believing the opposite of this (that grace alone saves us). And I also happen to disagree about your point that discussing theology (and at times disagreeing) “puts a damper” on people’s faith! Some of my most worshipful moments have happened during a conversation with someone about theology... And it’s also important to point out that God does care about good theology. Remember in Revelation, when some of the letters to the churches condemn churches that fail to teach truth and praises churches that do emphasize truth...
@@mcgheebentle1958 you're kind of proving the very point I was making here 😂 Like I said, I enjoy theology because I, like yourself, find it useful. Not everyone else does, and it can lead people to starting arguments over things that do not matter... You say you disagree that theology puts a damper on people's joy and faith-- I'm telling you from experience I've seen it do so. You're doing it just by calling someone else's view "weird" lol. Just because my view on theology differs from yours, does not mean it's weird, or that my salvation or your salvation is in anyway compromised. You've clearly been blessed with good conversations with others about theology, and that's wonderful!! But not all Christians are interested in it and that's okay. The thief on the cross is the best example. He didn't read the book of Revelation, or argue about arguing about theology lol. He repented, believed in Christ, and was saved in two minutes. 🙏📖
@@simplenaturevidsWell I think your view on theology is a bit limiting. For example, when you recounted the Gospel in your first reply to me, about how we’re all sinners and need to repent, that was theology! And wonderful and true theology, if I might add. The thief on the cross actually had a very good and correct theology: he recognized Jesus as God, saw his own sinfulness, and repented and worshipped before Jesus. That’s theology right there!
Theology is the study of God, we are not called to study God, but to obey what he says, What he says leads to sanctification and to the state of one who is holy and blameless and irreproachable on that day. Having a theological degree is not an office give in the bible therefore can not give the barer of it any authority to speak on any issue. Secondly, God speaks ONLY to the one who humbles himself and sets himself to seek (not study) God. I have spent over 10 years abasing myself and seeking God, so I know first hand the transforming sanctifying power of God. I can give a first hand account of God through his disciplines not only put to death the covetousness of the eyes and flesh and the pride of life, and produce the fruit of the Spirit as mentioned in the book of Galatians. I have yet to hear of one single personal testimony of any Christian "teacher" on how they encountered the resurrection power of Christ. As with you, I am sure you can tell me theoretically how to encounter God, but not practically, and yet God has given very simple, practical and mechanical steps to achieve this so that even the simple will be able to stand before him that day fruitful. He says do not come before me empty handed. On all three celebration festivals they were to come baring fruit. That alone is the testimony of he fruit of the cross. It is not outward works, but works born of the heart that cannot but be fruitful by its very nature.
Satan is always looking for souls. He is very devious and plays on our weakness of empathy. A common aphorism that we Christians use is; We live in this world but are not of this world.
What would be really nice and refreshing if Ms. Childers would interview an actual so-called progressive Christian instead of simply talking about them with like-minded folks. It's a safe play, but makes u wonder.
Oneness is a biblical principal for the church. It is the American church's lack of unity and overload of denominations that sends the wrong message to the world that Jesus Christ isn't Lord, all over doctrinal differences that don't even affect salvation. Unity in the essentials is the most important thing. Are there churches that promote universalism and teach true heresy? Yes. But we cannot deny how denominationalism has hurt the body of Christ by splitting doctrinal hairs. Most denominations won't even associate with other believers from a different denomination, as if those people aren't saved too. It's not biblical. Factions are a sin listed in Galatians that prevent people from inheriting the Kingdom of God. So out of curiosity, who do you believe we should be unified with? Where do you draw the line doctrinally? Galatians 5:19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, FACTIONS, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. John 17:18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. 20 “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may [a]believe that You sent Me.
Oneness may have some good ideas and intentions, and while I don´t fully agree with the speakers here, however, I would not just jump into it, as I, even as a liberal see that there are things that I don´t want to compromise about. Oneness for me is not the point, but there could be things we Christians could learn from our eternal theological fighting.
Truth is the point. There is only one truth. Ideally, we’d all recognize what is true and be united in that. Unfortunately, because of the pluralism of worldviews in today’s culture and the rise in subjective truths (“you have your truth and I have mine”) we will be divided. I will not compromise what is True for the sake of fake and superficial unity. I will treat all with whom I disagree with love and compassion, but I won’t “be one” with them.
Division exists because we live in a fallen world and the world doesn’t acknowledge the truth of Christ and His Gospel. However, this division isn’t how God intended for us to be! We should strive for both truth and unity, but those two things won’t be aligned until Christ ushers in the New Heaven and the New Earth. For now, we should cling to the truth and pray and strive for people to see the truth so they can be united with the Church and God’s people. Does this make sense, Stephen?
@@mcgheebentle1958 It makes sense, but I'm not sure that's what Jesus meant. Perhaps towards the end we will be united. Especially if persecution comes.
@@mcgheebentle1958 The kingdom of heaven is within you. When you realize that is true, might that not be when Christ ushers it in for you, or do you have to wait for the culture to change?
"Food" for thought, Pun Intended, the "Unknown God." I recently watched a Church Service where one of the Worship Leaders, for lack of a better title, casually asked the Congregation, very early in the Service, '"what if Jesus were to walk in through the door in the back and sit down among us?" "Chew on that one" for a few moments.🤔 John 1:10
I´m not exactly sure what you aimed to say (sry) but I heard of a priest/pastor that went to his church, he was dressed "like a drunken man" and had put some alcohol on his clothes to smell.... the congregation was irritated at him, and asked him to leave... then he revealed who he was. It is possibly that if Jesus came today (2000 years later), he would be out among people we dismiss, while we would be the pharisees in our own cosy church.

The best approach to religious codes that have become rigid and absolute is to acknowledge their arbitrariness and use them, as a private discipline for ordering our own chaos. When they are proclaimed as the bearer of absolute and unchanging truth, defended in the traditional way, they enslave the human spirit rather than liberate it. Jesus called for its transformation into a perfection of love.
SATAN comes in the FORM OF AN ANGEL - MANY WILL BE MISLEAD. It is a pity. Bring back the PENTICOSTAL, HOLY SPIRIT FILLED ALONG WITH IT'S 9 GIFTS, REBORN, BAPTIZED, CHILDREN OF GOD. NOTHING ELSE !!!! Amen.
For what it’s worth, the danger of this sort of thinking is that you end up drawing your line of unity far too narrowly. Out of interest, where do you draw the line? Speaking in tongues? Infant baptism? KJV only? God loves unity in His body, and I fear that this sort of opinion does not promote healthy growth. People become precious and proud of their own interpretation of the Bible and shun fellow believers over minor divergences of doctrine. The world looks on and thinks we’re irrelevant and petty, and Satan stands back and watches a Kingdom divided against itself falling apart. Don’t get me wrong, there are some “non-negotiables”, but I think there needs to be a healthy environment for doctrinal debate within the body of Christ. After all, despite sincere efforts and pure intentions, I doubt any one individual or denomination has it 100% accurate. If we hold on too tightly to our own doctrinal subset, it doesn’t allow God to transform us because we are too stubborn and proud. Look, we’re going to share eternity with all kinds of people who acknowledge their sinful nature and are fully trusting in Jesus to save them. Our salvation isn’t determined by the minutia of or doctrinal views, but by accepting God’s gift of salvation through His Son, our Saviour, Jesus! We may as well start getting along now, right?
This is the issue I see with this as well. Where do we draw the line for unity? Does someone believe Jesus is fully God and man, came to die for their sins, that He is the only way to heaven, and they have repented of their sins to live for Him? Then they are a Christian. I don't care what church they go to, if they are charismatic or reformed, were baptized as a baby or an adult, believe speaking in tongues is evil or prophesies on a weekly basis etc. The bible says in Romans that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that He is Lord, you will be saved. So many denominations require you to agree with their specific interpretation of scripture in order for you to be a believer in their eyes. Then they create their own factions and don't fellowship with other Christians. This is actually a sin. Galatians 5:19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: [a]immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, FACTIONS, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. These denominations refuse to fellowship with other Christians outside of their sect but then call people in their group "saved" who have no spiritual fruit at all, no true change or repentance that would mark them as a new creation. Just the crazy American culture we live in thanks to hundreds of years of physical and financial prosperity. Once persecution comes to the US like overseas, no one is going to care about their denomination anymore. The line will be drawn at "Are you willing to die for Jesus?"
Hi Ladies, Can you please help me pinpoint what is taking place in this message that was supposed to be a beautiful Resurrection sermon on eternal redemption, you would think. Instead the true meaning of the resurrection was not addressed, its was not glorifying to Christ but totally self-focused. It was "waking up Jesus in you"- which this is New Age, right? And it was very double-tongued because later, it was mentioned Jesus might be the most woke person because He knows all that's going on. The message was Jesus is the CEO and problem solver of your life. Basically, Jesus doesn't want you to fear, and then you just assign Jesus to what you need in your life, I mean that's what He "got up" for. My oh my, It was so irreverent. Can you please help me understand what is taking place here with regards to New Age implications to help me defend the true faith? I know it's so off but your expertise will help me put into words. Series is called "Awake" which I'm very wary of what they are wanting people to awake to. I read we are to awake to righteousness (1 Cor 15:34) but this sounds very different.
Deleting any comments that go against your "beliefs." I wonder if that is what Yeshua would do? This is why people are turned away from Christ....so much judment and dogma within the church.
You’ve entirely missed the point. Jesus recognised the divine within himself and knew that the awareness of that presence is connection with God, enabling everyone, whoever they are, to experience it through his teaching and example. It is that Christ consciousness that is “oneness”. It existed before and will always exist - in Christianity, in all other traditions that have a spiritual, mystical or gnostic path and any individual who follows that path. Christianity is part of the whole that is oneness. New Age beliefs are often closer to Christ’s original teaching than what happens in churches, because it goes back to basics and strips away the superficial man-made rituals and dogma to leave the untarnished approach that Christ actually promoted. The disparaging of this search for meaning is disappointing from people purporting to be Christians. Overcoming ego and the need to be right would be a good start. Jesus tried to teach that there is no “us and them”, only “us”. No theology matters without this.
I am not sure the churches gave the right theology in the first place. Progressive Christianity is not Christianity. I wish the would stop saying it is.
Fundamentalism has become irrelevant. "For the bible tells me so" is no longer an excuse to be hateful. Fundamentalists can learn a lot from progressive Christians.
“Churches are sacrificing good theology on the altar of unity” - Dang, that’ll preach... So well said 👏🏼👏🏼
See my comment that gives Jesus' theological view of oneness.
But she only caught some of them. *All* churches that include the Filioque in the Creed are teaching bad theology.
Your experience must be different than mine, but from what I have seen for every one church that sacrifices good theology on the altar of unity, you will find 100 churches sacrificing unity on the altar of someone's preferred theology.
It is better to be divided by truth than united in error.

The slogan sounds good, but too often in history we have seen people divided when both are in error, often serious error.
@@SpectatorAlius Sure. But that doesn't negate my point.

The reason people are attracted to New Age is because it allows them to be both spiritual and selfish as the same time!
This comment is SPOT ON!!
Spot on! And totally makes sense as to why they would be attracted to that

I think the problem is in your dichotomy.

In this world we do not find real peace, real truth, nor real joy. We can have all of these things they are found in Jesus and only him. So many are feeling hopeless in this world where good is called evil and evil is called good. We can have perfect hope, and peace, joy, and truth, but only through Jesus. He gives hope to the hopeless. Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
He gives peace when there is no peace.
Please call upon Jesus today.
this is soooo good. Thank you for this. Really important discussion.
I enjoy your studies so much! It's meat and I love it!

Proverbs 14:12There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

My friend responded, "But had you been black, everything would have been worse."
Anyway, I left that church, since his ability to properly shepherd is severely compromised.

Intend to Identify, Locate, Remove and Repair these archetypal thought forms in your Unconscious, Instinctual and Conscious Mind:
Victim - Victimizer
Predator - Prey
Master - Slave
Rich Tyrant - Poor Serf
Royalty - Peasant
Famous is Important - Not Famous is Insignificant
Beautiful - Ugly
Accept Abuse and Sociopathy
Accept Paltry Condition/Deprivation
Apathy/Lack of Interest
Being Seen and Not Heard
Carry Out Orders/Obey
Do Not Question Authority
Enforce the Law
Fear of Punishment/Pain
Females are Breeders/Objects
Kill the Infidel or Nonconformist
Powerlessness/Helplessness
Submit to External Power
Unworthiness/Low Rank
Women and Children subservient to Male Pleasure
War and Killing is necessary
Electronic forms of mind control are unseen by most and yet they can be embedded virtually anywhere in our environment, radiating these belief systems into our deepest psyche.

To some Christians theology is a dirty word.
Jesus addresses the theology of oneness in John 17.20-24 King James Version
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Matt 12.7 "But if ye had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless."
So we are all united in love.
Jesus even included the plant kingdom in that unity. "
It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it." The plant acts out of love and in faith to provide a resting place for birds.

"Love never fails.
@@mcgheebentle1958 you're kind of proving the very point I was making here 😂
Like I said, I enjoy theology because I, like yourself, find it useful.
It’s Polytheism

@@ChelseaSchulz-n2y why that naming?
I agree! United we stand, divided we fall! Unity is GOOD!
Jesus did pray that we would all be brought to unity in John 17. How does this relate to what you're were discussing?
Unity in His gospel

@@PjotrII Close Enough! I think you got the point! 😀😉. For what it is worth, you understood the "casual question" in much the same way that I did. Going back to Melissa's example, wasn't the Apostle Paul described as an ordinary looking man. He was pointing out that the "unknown God" was in Truth quite knowable through His Son.
Another way the question could be "heard" is "what if a casual, unassuming, ordinary man wandered in, unnoticed, not interacting with anyone, overheard every whispered, gossiping, sarcastic, hate filled, back biting, finger pointing, judgemental remark, then wandered upfront during the Altar call, ten changed Water into Wine for all to see, while his face became Radiant and His Clothing became White as Snow." 😮 Did you see what I just saw??

Doulos means slave!
Hi Ladies,
Can you please help me pinpoint what is taking place in this message that was supposed to be a beautiful Resurrection sermon on eternal redemption, you would think.
Cake analogies really???
Jesus used analogies.
What is wrong with it?
A cake is made when you stick to the basic ingredients.
Friends of the world is an enemy of God.
unless it's the world of love
Yes Hes interested in false understanding of the Crucifixion known as Penal Substitution and its all over modern hymns and worship songs.
False understanding? All other views are incomplete and don't line up with scripture.
ecumenism
You lost me when “Charismatic” became the punch line of your joke.
Pointless: SUNDAY SABBATH IS THAT UNITY. you are joined to the CATHOLIC CHURCH.
I am not sure the churches gave the right theology in the first place. Progressive Christianity is not Christianity. I wish the would stop saying it is.
Quit lying Melissa....
Fundamentalism has become irrelevant. "For the bible tells me so" is no longer an excuse to be hateful. Fundamentalists can learn a lot from progressive Christians.
The only things progressive Christianity has to offer are lies and death (adherents remain dead in sin).
Fundamentalism are core of the faith. You go off that path, you wind up in crazy
Jesus was hated for speaking the truth. That doesn't mean Jesus was a hateful person.
