I become boring after a while because I believe there is a sweet spot where you need to leave being the "authority" . I am so used to speaking like this I do not know how to leave that behind.
Listening to podcasts and radio could be a great activity to engage with, you can even analyse and point out the key feature different people present in their voice.

LOL - love your attitude Calaem! I hear " I speak from the diaphragm " quite often from non-trained speakers and singers... but its physically not possible to "speak" from there. The diaphragm is our major muscle of INHALATION and when used correctly to power the voice and airflow, can make a big difference to the way we speak and how much calm and control we experience when speaking. I'm glad you have some awareness around it at least. Let me know if you have any questions.
