It allows for a series of flashes to be fired in sequence. So you can end up with a few images, each lit by only those flashes that fired-the reason it is referred to as masking, as it is typically used to create silhouettes that are used as layer masks in Photoshop.
In e commerce shoots especially you need to be able to easily cut the item from the background - You can set the flash to fire every second trigger then you set up two lighting groups - 1 fires on the item lighting it - the second shot fires only the group lighting the white BG leaving a crisp silhouette that can be used in photoshop to create a clean easy mask of each in seconds
lol just got settled with my set up finally after buying multiple set ups and now I can see them bringing the 600 pro and 400 pro SE out with touch screens or something 😂
As far as accessories: can this use the extension head from previous model, either: Flashpoint Extension Head 600 Ws Flash For The XPLOR 600 or Flashpoint XP600 Pro Portable 600ws Extension FlashHead (Godox h600p) ?
Recycle time? This page has .9 secs but the adorama page has 2.5 sec. Also-- does the built in fan mean we can get more shots off before overheating protection kicks in?
Can you use AD600bM batteries? Why no TTL ? I would have hoped they made it smaller and lighter than the AD600BM . I have two AD600 BM's with a spare battery - would be great if the batteries are interchangeable
The Flashpoint system IS the Godox system. Flashpoint is just Adorama’s (rebrand) name for Godox. They’re the same exact lights and triggers. Different countries and/or businesses have Godox products under different names. Adorama don’t make Godox lights and accessories, they just rebrand them under their in-house brand Flashpoint. Better to buy from Adorama because they actually have customer service you can talk to and a warranty. Godox has none of that.
Ok, so it adds a new screen, LOSES TTL, adds "masking". Sounds like a studio queen for most people. That is not a bad thing but it may make some people that rely on rapidly changing scenarios miss exposure when outdoors. youth sports photography for example, I see a lot of guys use TTL on (gasp) studio strobes as if they were just big flashes. Might pick up a pair of these to play with the Fujis IF I can still use my 600 bits like the extension head
Thank you for another wonderful video, Daniel and Marisa!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey. Could you do a comparison to the other 600 models. Thanks
Nice and entertaining to see Marisa again, thanks for that!
What is masking on a flash? Never heard of it before.

Does it work with the AD600 Pro batteries?
A nore indepth video on this strobe would be awesome.
Whats the difference between ad600 pro and the special addition
Awesome!! Love the demo. Thanks
Cool monolight, I’ve gotta have TTL tho.

If its no TTL then whts the point on using the new R2 Remote wich I think the most outstanding features are the TCM and rechargeable?
You can still control the power of the flash with the remote
@@DanielNortonPhotographer Also I can use the Godox App with my old triggers. But since the R2 Nano is a Free Gift, I think its a good offer.
Great review!

I could see Marissa in the lead role, if they ever remade Carnival of Souls.
It's in Ch24 😁

Looks great. Are these roughly the same weight and size as the original AD600? Thank you.
Any plan for an SE version of the AD400, AD200, etc.?
Love the redesign of this monolight. Do the Flashpoint strobes/triggers connect with the Godox system? Thanks!!
They should - as they use the same R2 wireless system.

Great Video
Does it come with a handle like the xplor600?
No one answers comments?
Where's the puppet
What does make it Special Edition? What it is special about it and why is it 300usd cheaper?
No TTL I think...
According to the Adorama website, the "SE" stands for "second edition", but not a "special edition".
@@vernon_4411 You may want to go back and re-read that it's a "special edition"
Channel 24!
Just not ttl

Yep the extension heads are crucial for my work
Why Godox isn’t announcing this product? Usually Godox announces first than FlashPoint. Is this exclusive for Flashpoint ?
Maybe it's just not ready for release yet
