  • Hi! This is my first ever song that i've publicly shared to this extent.
    FIRST THINGS FIRST, prior context!
The species "Manabu" is a fictional species i've created for Moro, a character in Dragon Ball Super, for my project, Project DBE.
The planet "Gakkoh" is the home planet of Moro, and the Manabu. Or, well, it was...
Lastly, to explain what "Project DBE" is, that will be discussed at a later date! But know that it's an EXTENSIVE project relating to Dragon Ball, created almost if not ENTIRELY by me and me alone.
This song is called "Echoes", and it's in the album, "Echoes of the Manabu". Now, i wanna explain the symbolism of this song.
This song was made with the idea that Moro is the last Manabu in the Universe, as he wanders the cosmos, alone, only with his thoughts of his species.
Specifically, it imagines him looking on 10 million years ago, perhaps a thousand years before he got into trouble with Galactic Patrol, looking at the ruins of his once thriving planet, Gakkoh; which is the planet featured in this video, slowly floating away from the viewer to show it leaving the viewer in the past, as the viewer moves on into the future.
There are these sounds mimicking a clock (the tick-tick-tick noises!) to represent the passing of time since the destruction of Gakkoh, to emphasise what was lost and how long ago it was lost.
There are also these ambient sounds mimicking voices of young adults or teenagers (the Ahhhh sounds!) to represent the other members of the Manabu Species, humming & singing in the afterlife, gazing downward upon Moro, as he copes with his unimaginable loss.
On top of that, there's some noise that's purely intentional, to mimic the sound of breathing (the muffled scratching noises!) to represent the breaths taken BY Moro as he copes with the loss of his species, AND the breaths of his species moments before destruction, making them echoed for eternity (hence the title!)
I really hope that you like this piece. Please feel free to give me feedback; i'm always looking to improve for my next work.
EDIT 01: Whoops. I misspelled a word there.
    - Changed "FIRST THIS FIRST" to "FIRST THINGS FIRST"
EDIT 02: Added some context that was needed!
    - Added symbolism for the muffled scratching sounds prominent in the song
