    Retired FAM. A couple of things. We don’t use a fancy rig like that. Qualifications are from the 1, 7, 15 and 25 yard line. We also have to shoot one hand, using your strong hand and your week hand. The course you’re showing is just one of the many, but it is not the qualification course.

    That’s pretty cool. All of you guys are pretty good. I’ve heard the air marshal standards are the toughest as well. They seem pretty doable for any competition shooters and the avid enthusiast. • @2fast2block
      @2fast2block Год назад +2

      When I shoot matches we had an FBI agent. His times were not considered fast and did just 'ok' in final scores but I did like his style and it got me to thinking of the real use of matches even though I'd beat him. Hit hits were precise and because we all knew we had to push the speed and still get decent hits, they were not as accurate. So I don't know, are hits not as precise but fast better than precise hits done slower in real life? Even a shoulder hit is not exactly doing nothing in real life. Maybe that was enough to change the whole situation compared to a slower hit more precisely. All I do know is I changed that I never wanted a miss. I wished the rules were that if you ever missed, you zeroed out the stage.

    No optic 357 229 now G19… when I started we did shoot the TPC for qualifying (yes I’m old now and retired for 2 years) you either passed or you didn’t fly… most good offices shoot this course (and many other stress oriented courses of fire) to keep people sharp every now and then but it’s not a qualification course any longer… personally I loved the TPC it puts small fraction of the stress (time) you will encounter if the SHTF… (remember a gun fight, an aircraft is a bad day for everyone).
