    i know the DG CP isnt very liked, but i think its pretty neat for this format. Plenty of models for your opponent to kill and for you to overwhelm with.

      The problem with this DG CP is that if the enemy manages to destroy the Plague Marines, DG has basically not enough damage anymore

    Even with Pox-yphus title as epic hero he can't carry the battle, Death guard combat patrol need a rotation
    Timestamps comment :
    3:16 hold right there the infernus squad aren't Battleline unit, unlike the intercessors squad they can't capped the objective . Its one of the weakness of new Space marines combat patrol.
    6:43 I personally though that oath of moments havw have been nerfed yet this is a showcase ho they still broken in combat patrol
    9:37 if the infernus squad were there, it will be their shining moment
    20:45 sadly Devastating Wounds is no longer dealing mortal wounds, it still damage dealing that can't be saved by save roll or invulnerable save but they can't spill over the wounds

      Oh shoot you're right! They are not battleline :V For some reason I though they were :( sad
      yeah Death Guard seems a bit off as power in this CP
      Thank you 💚

      Oath was nerfed for non Combat Patrol, in CP mode it was always re-roll hit rolls, in normal it was at the beginning hit and wound re-rolls, now just hit rolls, so in normal nerfed, in combat patrol not, I think the problem with CP is that some are much better than others (looks Dark Angels CP with Redemptor that actually is to be used with meta wargear and inceptors that are considered pretty strong rn, intercessors with chaplain nothing special but gives access to sticky objectives)

      Agreed on Death Guard needing a Combat Patrol rotation. Pox-yphus is nice and all, but it's less than useful to have a named character in the box. Makes it difficult to buy in multiples. (That, and it's not like you need THAT many Poxwalkers, unless you're using a skew list).
      A better box might be something like a generic hero, a squad of _ten_ Plague Marines (including the overpriced trio of models meant to fill out the normal squad), a Plague-burst Crawler, and maybe a Foetid Bloat-Drone (or, failing that, I guess it could have a ten-man squad of Poxwalkers or something). Something that makes the box useful, but in a way that gives Death Guard players a variety of units. And with it being repeatable.
      On the subject of Infernus Squads, you'd really think the unit _would_ be Battleline. Sure, it's kind of weird for flamer specialists to be batteline. But if you're going to put them in the starter box, you have to count on a lot of them flooding the market. (Then again, this is probably why GW want to keep them NOT Battleline. You have to buy more kits if the cheap ones can't be spammed).

      @@Bluecho4 the problem is that Death Guard doesn't really have a huge amount of different units to play. It seems to me that they are spamming Typhus in every box, probably cause many lists play around him. But jeez why so many poxwalkers? They are really useless in that number, on 500 points... In that list if you manage to destroy the marines that's it, game won. Cause Typhus is so nerfed in CP mode that is almost useless.
      Every CP has a battleline unit, I expected that since it makes sense. It was a cold shower to see the Infernus squad wasn't. Playing with 12 models and have to keep objectives as well, funny.
      Thank you 💚

      @@Bluecho4 I agree on the new composition except maybe not the Plagueburst crawler since heavy vehicle can ruin the small size of combat patrol, maybe like : Lord of Contagion; 7-10 plague marines; Foetid bloat drone; 5 Blightlord terminators; and 20 Poxwalkers

    Walking Plague ability Typhus: should have been rolling each turn to resurrect D6 Pox in his unit? Also each time his unit killed a model, a Pox model should have returned as well. I think that might have kept his unit alive longer?

    • @TabletopWarbands
      @TabletopWarbands  11 месяцев назад +1

      Well the rule says that Typhus can return up to D6 models of a Poxwalker unit within contagion range in my command phase (and not each turn unfortunately), and yes Pox can return a destroyed model each time they kill a model, but it's them that have to deal the last wound, not Typhus. So in a normal game yes, you would be correct ^^

    • @scoobydruid
      @scoobydruid 11 месяцев назад +1

      Looking at CP sheet, since he’s part of the Pox unit I would think he can rez Pox too (he’s leading that Pox unit). Not correct? Thanks for doing this fast format Report - very helpful and interesting 👌😀

    • @TabletopWarbands
      @TabletopWarbands  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@scoobydruid nope, characters that join a unit don't gain that unit's abilities. The only shared abilities are those from the characters that say: "while this model is leading a unit..."
      Thank you! Glad you like our format ^^

    • @scoobydruid
      @scoobydruid 11 месяцев назад +1

      Hmmm, I realize that the Feel No Pain 5+ doesn't go to Typhus (it's a Poxwalker model ability) but "Curse of the Walking Pox" says "each time a model in this unit makes an attack that destroys an enemy model, you can return one destroyed Poxwalkers model to this unit". Typhus is in the unit he's leading so qualify as a "model in the unit". I did some searching and that was the universal interpretation. If this didn't apply to the Leader, I would think they'd have written "Each a Poxwalker model in this unit...". Major Typhus Leader nerf if he can't rez Pox bodyguards while he has at least one still in the unit -- DG already feels a little weak as it is. 😞
