Great video! Love your Stormcast scheme, the Sequitor's probably my favourite. I really like these bat-reps, but I was wondering, did you consider making some narrative battles as well? Because that would be amazing!
Thanks so much ! ^^ as for narrative battles, I hope to do short narrative campaigns in the future (similar to some of the stuff mountainside tabletop produced in case you know them, maybe with even more attached lore if people like it)! I find this to be a daunting task though and I currently don't have enough time to do it. For the time being, I hope to just be able to keep up posting one of these every 2-3 weeks to grow the channel a bit and when I have some more time start dabbling with this idea :).
Great batrep. Fun to watch! I think the Gitz were doomed from the start, not so much by the scenario (though it was a tough one for them) but by a non-optimized build and poor tactics. If I’d been piloting then I’d probably have played for a tie, surrounding the Loonboss with blocking bodies - the Gitz reaction should help with this. I’d’ve concentrated missile fire on either the Stormcast leader or another single model to try to take it out. I definitely don’t think the Loonboss should have charged into combat with any enemy model besides the leader. Was this not a scenario where the target leaders had to stay 4” from the board edge?
Thanks :) and I think your points are very valid. To tell you the truth, the charge was a decision I made based on time constraints with filming more than anything! Had I have had more time on my hands that day I would have played more conservatively, but I foresaw that this would probably mean that the battle would go on till turn 6 or so, which I sadly did not have time for on filming day. As for listbuilding, the batreps are meant to be casual, so I intentionally dont go toooo in depth with listbuilding and just kinda grab what I think looks nice on the table. If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see though, (in terms of a list for later battles) you are welcome to share :). (also yes, the leaders had to stay 4" from the board edge after battle round 4. If at the start of turn 4 the Loonboss did get initiative first, both leaders would have spent their turn getting away from the board edge. )
Just getting into warcry myself. I really enjoyed this thanks
Thank you for sharing this report.
Nice battle-rep! I would like you to bring Gitz again to the battlefield against some other opponent. They definitely didn't say the last word yet! :)
Thank you and I am definitely planning to have them come back! :)
Very cool battle report!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it ! :)
Enjoyed this one! Gitz are always fun and it was quite tense with the almost comback
Awesome battle report!
Tough mission draw for the Gits, but they tried hard to make for a good fight.
