- Words can't even describe how happy I am to have come across this beautiful 1988 Foxbody Mustang GT! By far one of the cleanest ones i've seen for sale and it's crazy to think how lucky I got with this barn find! So many people took interest in this Foxbody but I was the one who came up on top and bought it! I have so many plans and can't wait to start modding

First thing I did to mine was installed a Viper 2 way paging alarm and tracking system, really easy and alerted me of a couple times thieves tried to break into mine. You scored, looks nice in black and sounds great.
225HP off the showroom floor. I was 18 at the time this car came out. Never owned one, but drove plenty. For the day, it was one hell of a fast car.

Nice score !! I was 22 years old when I bought mine brand new. I watched it roll off the transport and was never out of my sight till I drove it off dealer lot !! I still have it today and it is all STOCK except for my custom ordered Centerline wheels because of the 4 lug. I still have original turbine wheels wrapped and in boxes. 34,000 origial miles which were put on the first 2-3 years I had it wanting to show it off to everyone. I cleaned it everyday I drove it and in garage every night. I quickly knew she was a keeper. I have still have my original bill of sale, spare never used keys with dealer tag still on and window sticker.
I'll give you $350 for it JK 😂 can't wait till I can get a 🦊 hopefully I can find a clean 4 eye when I'm ready

Wow I had the dealer keys too with the little silver tag with the serial numbers on it. Lost in a burglary at my home 😢.
What color? 2 tone? Wow. Original turbine wheels in the box. Any photos? Am amazing. I had a 93’just liken this but in white. I got it in 98’. It was my 2nd car and first I bought on my own. My first car was an 88’ like this. A Pontiac Fiero, Formula. It had the 2.8L just like the Fiero GT(which btw was such a great looking car for the day. It looked amazing. So my first car was a mid engine! Funny when I think about that , chances are I’ll never have another mid engine. That 2.8L was pretty peppy and the car weighed nothing and it had a great exhaust for a little 6 cylinder newish I still had that and of course my FOX. Such a great car back then and now too. All the weight was in the front end. Those rear ends werensoooooo light. The smallest bump used to kick that rear end out quick and in a hurry…

I've owned 2 two tone Foxbody GTs had a 91 emerald green and titanium, and about 5 years ago I got a Teal with polished silver ground effects. Both 5 speeds and both were very well loved and very missed! I am building my own now!
Nice clean Fox dude! Back in the day in the late eighties some Foxes actually came with remotes for alarm and power locks from the factory. It was an option. First thing, get rid of those ridiculous looking headlights previous owner put on. Factory headlights look much better. These cars had a lot for the money at the time. Car was around $14,000 new and you got a 5.0 with full power incl. gas release and trunk, sunroof, alarm, cruise control, power lumbar seats, and fog lights for GT. They're getting hard to find especially in this condition. Good find.
I just found one I truly love. I still owe on it but man I fell in love the moment I saw it, has a few minor problems but man I’m glad to see I’m not the only person still interested in fox body’s.

That fox body 88 is nice but has 93 tail lights. Back in high school in 93 that was my favorite car and even Steven Segal had one in his movies. We put BBF 545 in them fox bodies and ran like demons at night with 700HP crushing EVERYTHING in our path. Today is about super charged 5.0 or coyotes, but big block POWER is where it's at my young hot rodders! Don't you forget that. 👍

Bro ; I just bought a 89 fox body. Same deal as you , I saw it on Craigslist and it was clean. I emailed the person and they didn’t respond back so I called and then text him. He got back and said it was available. I sad I want and 2 hours later I had it. I am gonna apply for transfer of title this weak… These are classic car’s and they can land you some good money !!! I don’t plan on selling. I am blessed. You are as well.

As you heard (if you watched the video) the guy is retired army and honored a first come first serve. The first guy had dibs as he got to him before me, i knew this car would sell if he ended up showing up so i offered more money to come get it RIGHT NOW if all checks out. He wouldnt let me. So yes, i 100% believe that first guy didnt show up considering the cars condition, 2 owner, garage kept and 67k miles… if i were to sell it, id make an insane profit on this car comparing to what i paid. So no, there were no “tricks” and the “first guy never showed” be (as he said in the video, he wanted to come the day i was going) but the guy said sorry, it was next in line.

I was always a 2 tone guy(owned 2) but deep down always loved the all black GTs, ever since the 1st commercial in 1987 with the All Black GT with the tiny red stripe around the bottom, Sheesh!

Project fox is the way to go in my opinion. Those gts are a dime a dozen. They made so many of these from 87 to 93. Your other fox is something unique.

Coming from someone who knows foxbodys like that. You always want to check out the subframes and torque boxes on these old foxes and radiator support/frame rails. The 302s will last forever as long as you keep oil in them. The t5s are junk. Point blank they will break on you eventually even at stock power.
