Spectacular views, great video ! I spent this summer in Utah and hiked Lake Blanche twice, it was wonderful experience. What a lovely nature you have here.
This is an excellent video footage of such an amazing place. 💯 enjoyed it. Great job! I hope to be hiking lake Blanche hike 1st of April 2020. Is trail accesible? How’s weather snow, rain? Advise.
Right now the weather is warm (about 60 F) but usually it is in the upper 40's or 50's this time of year. Unfortunately most of this hike will still be covered in snow in April, and there will be no leaves on the trees. Realistically you'd have to wait until late May or early June to do this hike, unless you were wanting to use snowshoes.
You definitely captured some beautiful footage. I suspect you were perhaps unaware that flying drones in wilderness areas is prohibited. Much of Big Cottonwood Canyon is open to drones, but Lake Blanche is located in the Twin Peaks Wilderness where all vehicles (including drones are prohibited). Something to keep in mind next time. Best wishes!
Thanks for the comment! As far as I'm aware, the only restriction on flying over wilderness areas is if it is a National Park. As for National Forest Areas, such as this area shown in the video, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) are permitted to fly. @@foullows Like At Home In Wild Spaces said, you've got some beautiful footage. In fact, it inspires me to take my drone into the Twin Peaks Wilderness Area, too. But, with all due respect, it's a Wilderness Area and that makes the difference. A congressionally designated "Wilderness Area" is not the same as a "wilderness area." So does skyvector.com/ They all show Lake Blanche within the Twin Peaks Wilderness Area. If something has changed, I'd love to hear it, but my call two weeks ago to the Wasatch Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest confirmed the foregoing. It's both a disappointment and a relief to me that there are beautiful places protected from certain modern intrusions. Best wishes and happy flying!

Beautifully executed and inspiring aerial cinematography! Love your choice in music, too.
Beautifully done.
It gives me chills and big motivation. It’s very inspirationnal.
Loved it! Watching the video with the Skyrim music I almost expected to see a dragon fly across the screen.
I’m so glad someone else gets skyrim vibes when being out here! I’m not alone!
Spectacular. Segment when you fly the ridge of sundial...whew. You're something I aspire to be
One of my favorite areas. Spectacular footage!
Absolutely incredible! Can't believe I haven't seen this before! I'll have to go see this place for myself sometime.
Thanks dude! For sure check it out, although it might be too snowy/all the leaves are gone this time of year.

I went during Summer time. It is fun but if you are not used to hiking be prepared for spending more than the usual estimated time. Most uphill track.
Amazing
The skyrim music adds a nice touch to these great views! Intentional?
