Brings a whole new meaning to "what's yours is mine, what's mine, is mine",Sarah was a nasty piece of work, who needs enemies with so called friends like that🎉
Sarah forgot she owed all her wealth and status to Anne as Queen, and she also forgot Anne was Queen and commonly hectored the Queen. Anne eventually dumped Sarah and relied on Sarah’s poor relation Abigail Masham as a personal servant. Abigail Masham was truly loyal to the Queen and devoted her life to making Anne’s life more physically and emotionally comfortable. Anne most likely had lupus, which made it difficult to have successful pregnancies (her two infant daughters died of smallpox, and her son William of hydrocephalus at 11.) Anne had a total of 17 pregnancies, most of which ended in miscarriages or stillbirths. She was married to Prince George of Denmark. John Churchill achieved some degree of notoriety when he was caught in flagrante with Charles II’s chief mistress, Barbara Villiers Palmer, Duchess of Cleveland and Countess of Castlemaine. The king mocked Churchill for being Barbara’s kept man as Churchill fled the bedroom. The one thing John had going for him was that he was an excellent military commander, and was made Duke of Marlborough and received Blenheim Palace as a reward for his success in fighting with the Austrians against Louis XIV’s troops.
I find it doubtful that Anne was romantically involved with anyone except her husband Prince George. Sarah and John used Queen Anne for whatever they could get out of her. Abigail had more of a personal concern on a human level with the Queen’s physical and emotional health, and she provided the help Sarah could not give.
If someone does not understand that basic rule you can be sure they are mentally unstable or not in control of better judgement , I am surprised that Sarah Churchill was so careless, I guess the privilege she enjoyed went to her head.
I kept waiting for the part where Sarah got hit by a wagon/carriage/buggy/coughbuscough - listening to this while cooking was giving me Mean Girls on an 18th century level in my head. My sociopath meter is also going off internally about Sarah lol. So many red flags.
It's called "The Favourite". I think it's on Netflix. To be honest, it wasn't great, and definitely not worthy of Olivia Coleman, Rachel Weisz, and Emma Stone.
Incorrect. A thanksgiving service is a very different event, it is a Christian worship, attended by the Monarch and traditionally held in the Chapel Royal. It's completely unrelated to the US Thanksgiving. Also, Thanksgiving services far predate the foundation of the US colonies, with the oldest known going back to the Middle Ages. Elizabeth I held a thanksgiving service after defeating the Spanish armada, for example.
"Both women found themselves in terrible danger;" "Anne's sister Mary rose to power next;" Mary and her descendants then felt free to paint both Ann and Sarah in whatever light could benefit them alone.
It's not the same 'Thanksgiving' that's celebrated in the USA. It's a special church service that the Head of the Church (monarch) performs by attending. King Charles attends a Thanksgiving service on special national public holidays etc. Remembrance Day 11/11, Anzac etc.
This is a very one-sided view in favour of Queen Anne. John Churchill was the most brilliant general in all of English history. Anne was slow, stupid, ugly and easily led. Sarah was pretty, smart and ambitious. I think whoever wrote this script has gotten it entirely wrong.

Anne later made Abigail Masham’s husband Samuel Masham a Baron.

Just shows you that the people at the top are the loneliest in the world. Its hard for them to tell if any of their friends are real.
She’s the classic toxic-as-hell “best friend” that only is friends to further her career.
With friends like that, u don't ned enemies!
The Queen brought it all on herself.
Everyone you meet is only a messenger telling you who you are.
Frenemies are the worst.
What a terrible woman.
One does NOT bite the hand that feeds you

This is still going on today with politicians….
What is the name of movie being played as clips in video?
The Favorite
It's called "The Favourite". I think it's on Netflix. To be honest, it wasn't great, and definitely not worthy of Olivia Coleman, Rachel Weisz, and Emma Stone.
Some of the clips are from Marie Antoinette
I'm also going to Google Rachel Wietz movies
I think Queen Anne was needy for maternal affection and Sarah just manipulated her
Even today, the idea that you could yell at the Queen “Be quiet” is shocking. My mouth dropped.
Wait, a Thanksgiving service? Thanksgiving is only celebrated in the US!!

I bet they did that scissors stuff
🔥
Why show a portrait of Queen Victoria’s coronation?
8 mins? Thanksgiving service! We don't do Thanksgiving in the UK! Get accurate!
