      Carol, is there a platform
      I can reach you on where I can ask a few questions about becoming an ANP? A bit lengthy to pose them here.
      Thank you Carol.

    Hi Caro, I would like to be a ANP or NP. I have 20 years nursing experience in UK. I work in a care home. But I don’t know where to start and who I can contact to enrol a course. How long it will take? Is it a full time or part time course? Could you please give me some information or guidance about the course.

    • @carolforde-johnston
      @carolforde-johnston  4 месяца назад +1

      @J_mathew1423 The easiest route is to apply for a trainee ANP role where the employer pays your course fees. You may see these posts advertised on NHS Jobs. Review the person specification as it will state the professional experience they expect and any qualifications. Alternatively you can self-fund a course but you need someone to sign-off your advanced practice capability framework if you are in England so securing a trainee ANP role is a better option. Speak to ANPs in your local Trust may help too. Wishing you all the best with your career aspirations. 🍀

    Hi! Thank you so much for the video:) i wanted to ask you how to become a Parkinson Nurse specialist in UK. Is there any special course or certification to be called one? I'm asking for a literature review about this type of nurse. Thank you in advance.

      Hi Blessy, thank you for the lovely feedback. 😍 We don't have mandatory standardisation across all employers but you will see that most job descriptions for a Parkinson's Disease Specialist Nurse role ask for independent prescribing module and a level 6 or 7 (MSc) Parkinson's Disease specialist module. I hope that this helps and your review goes well. ❤

      Each UK employer currently advertises ANP roles with different criteria so look at the ANP roles being advertised on NHS Jobs. Employers should take account of your experience and your MSc will need to reviewed by them to see if they will accept it. You'll need to be registered with the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council too. Hope that helps.
