In a weird way the Leave Stranger ending is in my opinion feels more happier in the sense that every iteration of the princess got their ending for better or worse and godhood isn't rejected just postponed given the implication of the Stranger's statement So they both can finally leave and explore the world for what it is before their transcendence inevitably comes.
They'll find a way to make it work. Also more cushy bits than before and he wouldn't be a liar if he said he had five girlfriends and called them over to prove it, if only to see the looks on their faces.
