Extremely fun gimmick to pull off, even better if you have friends that are down to help out. The high risk high reward of the gimmick makes it awesome to play, although running it alone can be quite tricky.

Excuse me, exactly since when the KGB are considered "underused", the straight upgrade to the fists?
I think it because it has to compete with the GRU and the fists of steel, both melee options grant heavy excellent utility for heavy that make up for his slow speed, steel helps heavy close the distance and be less vulnerable when having to cross sniper sight lines, while the speed boost from the GRU says it all.

Tf2 is one of the only games that gives useful advice in the loading screens. Use it to your advantage.

I like to root for underdog weapons like KGB which is constantly getting overshadowed by the GRU and FoS, when you manage to land a kill with then those few seconds of crits can be game changing!
I have the same with the equalizer, i have dealt with entire teams using it with the conch
@@giuseppe9653 My MAN 🤝🏻 The Equalizer is my permanent melee of choice for Soldier because the increased damaged when damaged + high crit rate leads to some funny and clutch plays. Sure the escape plan is good utility but I can’t pass up the possibility of a crit that deal up to 320dmg.

how would that even be possible, that wouldnt even be an exploit, that would be a hack, you would have to go into the code and make it so your name gets that buff

@@TinyDeskEngineer you would have to go into the code of the game, that means it would be classified as hacking (most people dont really know the different between exploiting and hacking, exploiting is like using scripts and stuff like that, hacking is going into the code and changing things you arent even supposed to see)
@TordTheChildEater he's talking about the crit condition that you'd get from a kritzkrieg, or the kgb, cheaters use a RANDOM crit hack to garuantee themselves a higher crit rate (or even 100% of the time, though i'm not experienced in cheats so i don't even know if that's possible), something that garuantees the crit condition itself doesn't exist. You can give it yourself via "sv_cheats 1" and using the "addcond 11" command in console, but that's not possible in official servers
Because they don't need to since they can already adjust their random crit chance to 100% or toggle that shit on when needed.
I love this combo, it feels like the meaner version of the Cleaner's Carbine and Bushwhacker combo

Except this one is older than carbine bushwacker combo, and the combo is reversed. Though that combo is harder to use due to fragile sniper is and bushwacker makes him even more vulnerable.

@@pomidoror thats like a classic tf2 issue, people are too aggressive on defense and too passive on offense, and when they actually push its into an uber sentry nest, and when they actually hold back its to let people cap the point.
@@scyfrix the DR is like the first hurdle new players have to get over. After that, they tend to just skip over every weapon except ones that are explicitly exciting or they get told it's absolutely busted. So when someone actually tries a weapon like the KGB its a massive curveball, because new players just never touched them because its not the GRU or the FoS. Although it also can be a problem even in high level play, where players are so used to fighting the exact same meta loadouts that any new strategy comes right out of left field. But in that case theres a lot more suppression of this stuff behind the scenes.

you can also just see if there's a dead spy at the top of the screen when you kill a spy, or if the ammo pack they dropped didn't give ammo.

I was so close to saying something like "imagine knowing that little about the game and thinking you can call out cheats" but they realized their mistake and apologized, so instead I'm gonna praise them for owning up to it and NOT going full denial mode for the sake of their own ego.
I can say with confidence that TF2 is probably the only game which can make such goofy subclasses work perfectly in an actual battle
Honestly, Panic Attack secondary would be kinda cool with this. Faster switch-to speed for a quick burst of a crit, then switch to Tomislav to unload afterwards.
Also, I play on a rebalance server that adjusts the Buffalo Steak so that it has a resistance effect, but you can swap off your melee at the cost of getting marked-for-death. The sheer surprise crits I pull out is glorious.
Thing is I remember a TF2 tip in game being to use a shotgun to maximize the dmg from kgb bc minigun takes time to rev up.
Funny how crit minigun is a thing, may have to try this out. I wanna crit tomi someone now.

Tomislav is the best minigun to pair with the kgb because 20% slower firing speed doesnt really matter when youre dealing 3x damage and the faster spinup time lets you make the most of your crits. Less bullet spread also allows you to snipe people with crits more effectively.

I've been running KGB + Tomislav and Beef for years, it's super fun if you combo Soldier's whip boost with the steak beef and it's increased damage due to minicrits, you can guarantee yourself a few extra seconds of crits that will outlast the Beef effects, giving you even more kills with the Tomislav.
I think I witnessed some human rights violations in there too
