the thoughness of a dino is mostly determined by the weight it has, which is why alio still will win a facetank with a chicken even though it has less hp. I personally think that alios quick hp regen makes up for its pathetic hp, but it still performs crappy due to the lack of turning radius and stamina (and speed on defense build) imo
Health must be one of the greatest opportunities with the combat update.

I remember one server I played in and they made iguanodon run faster than a Giganotosaurus but irl Iguanodon ran 15 mph while Giga ran about 31 mph... It was a realism server too 😂😂😂 Sometimes I hate community servers.
Is it possible to make a list based on play rate? I want to know how unpopular/popular certain dinosaurs are, and my prediction on lowest herbivore is Amargasaurus and lowest Carnivore Kaiwhekea, not counting flyers or aquatics I'd say Suchomimus or one of the raptors

I think you should rank dinos that are tide by weight because they technicaly can take more hit ahah but awesome video!

Thanks for sharing. Found this quite odd. Deinonychus I’ve always pronounced as Die-no-nigh-kuss, which is in line with many palaeontologists whilst the rest of them go with *Die-none-E-kuss*, which looks to be actually the correct pronunciation. Although ‘Deino’ has an extra ‘e’, it means the same as ‘Dino’ which is ‘terrible’, the full name being ‘terrible claw’ from Ancient Greek.
I’m surprised Alio is so low, but coupled with very poor move set, it’s no surprise most consider playing it to be rubbish. I get that it’s fast, I currently have one in the low sub, but it’s also got a gradual acceleration. The other day I had someone fake passivity whilst questing, only for them to lunge when I walked away, one bite, all over, I couldn’t move fast enough! I’m surprised deino is as much as it is as one wayward horn or tooth or foot and it’s all over even as an adult. The problem with HP is it kinda should matter where the attack is carried out on the animal, so although a stego is protected elsewhere, it’s got plenty of softer underparts to attack, and amarg would be pretty easy to kill if you were large enough with a bite to the neck sethering blood flow to the brain. Ano I kind of thought would be higher purely because it’s a tank. Sarco keeps its belly to the ground keeping its weakest parts covered so it figures, it should also be more resistant to bleed with a slower metabolism and heart rate. Meg seems unrealistically high for something easily attacked from above and had unusually high stamina and speed for an exothermic creature.
Size matters, what would cut a thalass or deino on half should be serious on Alio or conc and be but a scratch on a bar or rex, but it would be good if some of the bigger animals were vulnerable to precise attacks to underside, especially neck and perhaps ankles to give some smaller creatures at least a small chance of escape
I feel like they gave Alio and Conca such low Hp is because they have speed on their side as carnis and can "bite back" unlike struthi and campto who really cant. As well as Deino and Laten who really wouldnt hurt much against an attacker alone so giving them some more hp to make the viable makes some sense.

Gonna throw in my weird thoughts here:
I personally would prefer combat weight affecting dmg and hp outputs being removed. While it does add a feel of natural realism with the lethality of your bite scaling with your foes' size, it can make proper balancing extremely tricky; An alio looses around half hp from a direct rex bite, while a laten gets one-hit by a long shot. And yet laten has more hp than the alio, which makes alot less sense. I'm just thinking, why bother balancing all damage and health stats on a thin line of correct weight if you could just use raw stats instead? Just thoughts though, since weight affects things so much already and removing it would require an entire stat overhaul it isn't leaving anytime soon lol

Gonna help you out with the "deino" name pronunciations my guy! Just know for future instances that the word "deino" is typically pronounced the same way as "dino".
So for Deinonychus:
(Dino - nigh - kus) OR (Die - naw - na - kus)
Same deal with Deinocherius/Duck:
(Dino - kai - rus) OR (Dino - kier* - us)

And same for the modded Deinosuchus

The Alioramus needs much more health that's way too low for his size. Hopefully his new remodel can fix the issue. But these levels of health for these dinosaurs (and non-dinosaurs) aren't accurate to their size or armor and can definitely mess up the ecosystem a lot. These levels of health absolutely suck in a way and don't make the game balanced enough for me it's just terrible.

when something fast chased me, I quickly turn around run to their direction, then dodge them. Like that, i was able to always get away. :)
The campto also makes you feel like you are really back in those dinosaur times where you need to survive, not pvp, survive.
