- in todays adventure i decided to outsource my job to AI to see if it could replace me. I got ai to decide where we should go on this bikepacking mission then write the story too, but here is the catch i wrote one of the stories too so can you tell who made which AI vs human let go on an adventure. enjoy

The first was written by (an AI) Emily Bronte, the second by a person who loves being outside, on his bike and sharing his adventures - lumps, bumps and all. Outstanding and wonderful photography as always. And I got to see a lot of it twice 🙏🏽
I didn’t see the clickbait and thought what happened here? It was very poetic over the top language finally it all made sense once you asked which one was AI…I didn’t need to wait for the second part😂
Your use of the English language (“them” instead of “those”, etc) in the 2nd vid was an instant giveaway. Keep it real, human and personal. I don’t want AI as it takes away the value and pleasure derived from lived experience.
We guessed the first was ai after 2 mins too flowery not enough joshisms !!! Great ride proper chilled like only josh can !

I was riding along the same paths as you last week. The views from the Hardy Way are fantastic, the descent down that rocky path was a lot more sketchy on my road bike. I did a vlog of my ride to.
Guessed the 2nd was deffo you after the word trails! Honestly, A.I has it's place but it isn't a patch on you're actual experience doing it.
Awesome adventure that! Can’t beat the Somerset Levels although i am slightly biased as I live there.

Great video and looks like an awesome adventure (with the right weather). I managed to guess correctly as I find that AI tried using loads of long complicated words in almost every sentence unlike most humans. Keeps up the good work, always enjoy your videos.

I knew the first one was not you having watched your vids for over a year now because it used way too many descriptive words to decribe the adventure. Loved it! :)
I KNEW after just a few moments, that the second one was you. My husband and I fall asleep to your lovely words every night then rewatch the videos during the day when we can stay awake! Keep ‘em coming! You just keep getting better and better!
I got it right, interesting idea to use AI in planning a trip and it shows how useful it can be but software will never be able to convey the passion and experience of doing something like this.
That was all round amazing! Yes I guessed correctly, only really through being familiar with your style. And like you, I was bowled over by the route and well judged level of difficulty. Presumably you had a bit of back and forth chat to get something that seems ideal for you?

Got it right. The first commentary was a bit too generic, not enough engaging detail like mileage and distances covered which is what you get spot on.👌 Keep up the great vids.👍

The first commentary cannot be you. It is purple prose; florid, overwritten and loaded down with tiresome cliches. It quickly becomes cloying. Listening to it is like eating far too many chocolates.
Your commentary is lean, spare and engaging. A bit like you!

Written before listening to the second. I think the first was you. I thought so in the first couple of sentences because it used phrases you often use. Will be interesting to see if I am right now!
2 minutes into the second film I am doubting my choice. This sounds more natural and more specific. The first sounds more generalised and uses more overblown texts.
@23Gears LOL I did the same as you. The more you listen to it, the more you notice a lot of words that Josh uses and it's more natural.
Must admit I liked the AI version also. Didn't think AI could be so good in describing details.

Video 1 is AI. It's too moderated and generalised- seems as if it was written by a committee. Within 30s of the second video I was certain.

It wasn't hard to guess ,But what did AI actually do , Plan the route , Sample your voice ? Sample your video clips & edit a completed new video ? I'm not 100% sure what it did ? It's all quite worrying , won't be long before it shuts down everyone's bank accounts & worse .

AI uses words that are not normally used by general public or even content creators. IT makes it pretty bvious which one is the generated one and which is not.
Not necessary at all a bad thing, if one chooses to use AI to generate these narratives.... Just have to be consistent in it's use.... And of course anyone can learn to be using similar vocabulary as AI does... or in reverse make it generate "less luxurious" narrative or to add random mistakes 🤔.... Just a matter of opinion on what listener prefers i quess....
Good experiment none the less... I do feel that these kind of real narratives will have to start to come with #NoChatGPTNeeded "warning signs" at some point, otherwise everyone thinks that they are just coming from AI 🤣

First one sounded like AI, it was overly descriptive and very impersonal.
The first version doesn't quite sound like your style. A bit too generalistic. However, had I not heard your voice in previous videos it could be very much human-generated.

First one was a little florid and lacked details but ok
To be fair, the AI planned a good route. Although you've never really needed any help with that either. Stick with what you know best i reckon.

Got it right. I have to say it planned a decent route, but the story was so boring and lacking in style. Your story was much better and clearly your style, but still the overall style of the story wasn't as good as the way you usually tell it. Great experiment though.
