- Well, except move, anyway.
Inspired by Blazing Lion's video, I wanted to try beating the Demon King at max stats without hacking my own stats too. Luna isn't actually a must for this to work, ranged Sacred Twins(except Gleipnir) in the hands of a sufficiently strong user can work too, dealing less damage but more reliably. But since summoners are required anyway to force the switch to Ravager without sacrificing a unit, I went with Luna.

I'm amazed Fomortiis could withstand the sheer destructive power of that 9 strength Vanessa.
Fun Fact: Fomortiis has, for inexplicable reasons, lower caps in the JP release with 40 instead of 50. This basically means EN Fomortiis is one of the strongest boss classes in all of FE with his potentially disgusting offense and defense, rivaled solely by Radiant Dawn's Deghinsea and Ashera to the best of my knowledge.

True that this game has one of the strongest boss. But it also has the most broken grinding system. You can grind anytime and make everyone level 20 Promoted before the boss.
Ross and Tethys just there to cheer Ewan on like it's their kid's baseball game.
Capped Str Innes with Nidhogg deals 1 dmg. 6 with max support.
Capped Mag Lute deals 1 dmg as well, with Excalibur.
Capped Ross with Garm deals 10, though you get One-rounded in retaliation.
In order to survive round of combat you need to reduce his dmg to 29.
If I'm doing the math right, Innes can't deal damage.
Capped Fomortiis has 65 defense with Ravager equipped and Innes ice affinity doesn't boost attack so he caps at 63 attack(25 strength + 36 Nidhogg + 2 support)
Warrior Garcia with S rank in bows can deal up to 6 damage with Nidhogg.
Sage Lute with Excalibur can get up to 11 damage.
With the dark magic glitch a capped "dark" Bishop can outdamage Luna with Gleipnir(and obviously Naglfar if you use the regular enemy control glitch to get that)
@@kobyma2 I see, well I was going off of the stats with demon light equipped it seems.
You can technically attack him without retaliation with the summon method. He will equip his 1 range breath. Attack with range, then dance or rescue away.
Imagine Luna and Pierce didnt exist
It would take HOURS to defeat it due to crazy amounts of defense

@UC2GvfksQ1ozlibJ46CYv7qA if you let him counter attack you're dead. Any melee relic such as garm- dead. You can lock him to 1 range and attack from a distance or accept death of the attacker. Strength capped innes with nidhogg would deal 19 damage. That with the sniper class skill for guaranteed hit would probably be your best option
Edit: my calculation was wrong. Sacred weapons are 2x effective not 3
Nah, just defeat him in one turn. Attack with all holy weapons and hes safe going to die. Or I think i also teleported one in and then teleported him back thanks to tethis and that twice or so.
@@akkarinderweise1617 Remember that this is max stats formortiis, he will most likely double and 1RKO everything if it had a chance to counterattack, assuming you can even deal damage with that ridiculously high defense AND assuming you can even land the attack.
@@butteredsalmonella I would have loved it if they made demon king sacred weapon resistant and buffed him up near his caps (Not speed). That way demon king would've been a much more interesting boss.

Huuh, I didn't know a Ravager strat existed.
In all honesty, that weapon is more of a hindrance to the boss in most respects than demon light, lol. Apart from hit rate, but that's mainly from Demon Light having atrociously bad accuracy.
No animations? Darn. I wanna finally see a ravager attack...

@@zdrowe5131 There’s no battle animation for it. It activates on the map and puts everyone in range to sleep (which I believe is either 8 spaces or the whole map, I don’t remember). I’ve only had it happen to me once, though, as I usually kill the Demon King by turn 2.

@@zdrowe5131 He makes a roar noise and emits some purple energy waves that effect everyone in a 3 space area around him. He's most likely to use this if at least 4 units are in range if it.
And this is why you don't give your bosses ginormous stats in everything. They need to have a weak point, for example tiny speed, so at least you double them and have a good hit rate.

Max stat fomortiis aka how to make a near impossible to kill boss especially if you don't want to loose units.
I haven't played FE8 in a really long time, what does "true hit" mean? Is the actual % to hit lower than what is displayed?
FE8 uses a 2 roll system, where two numbers are taken from the RNG and then averaged to determine if your attack will hit. If the number that was just calculated is less than or equal to the hit rate, the attack will hit. Because of the two roll system, you’re more likely to hit higher percentage hits and more likely to miss lower percentage hits. So true hit is the actual chance of hitting your attack.

In FE6, if both your rolls before a 100% hit chance are 100, the hit will actually miss
@@najibkhan3149 I think, up to FE5, rates were flat. Meaning 70% truly was 70%, since it was only one RN roll.
@@paperluigi6132 correct. the 2 roll system is famous for being used extensively in GBA FE game. idk if other games after them use the 2 roll system again, but I know it has been changing again after Sacred Stones.

You mean, without triangle attack? Sure, it should be doable. Triangle attack just makes it simpler since you only need to RNG the pierce.

It's possible to do this with other weapons too. Say, a maxed out Saleh with Excalibur and maxed out attack/hit supports will only deal 9 damage, but he'll do it with a much better 65 hit rate(almost 76% true hit rate). If you don't mind glitches, "Dark" Bishops with Naglfar will deal even more damage than Luna.
96 damage, isn't his max HP 120?
He took 128 damage.

At max stats he's stronger than FE10 Dgensia and ashera...... Bro these stats would even hold up in a game like awakening or fates. It's like Nintendo had the idea to make you face this and then said nah, let's be fair to them.
This was done to show Demon King's full power. They put sacred stone of Rausten as a gimmick to show why he is weaker.
You know what's even better? A regular Draco Zombie at max stats is even stronger than Fomortiis
Then you have 2023 Feh where a lot of meta units could 1 round this, completely wall him out, or even both. Excluding the speed, this is statewise basically how strong he is on his Abyssal MHB map in that game. He also has damage reduction and other powercreep effects he didn't have in his own game.
Heck the OG!Lyon I recently built with Arcane Eclipse could possibly 1 shot this Fomortiis with iceberg and the right support. With 52 HP and effective 43 Def and 71 Res, my Lyon should survive 1 hit and finish Fomo off with his guaranteed follow up regardless.

His AI is pretty basic. He doesn't move if no one is in his range.

The stats of the final boss don't matter when you are in a game like FE8, a game where you have Pierce. That's all I need to say.
Now if you take pierce users and Luna out of the equation you might have a better challenge.
Even then it took forever to kill even with the luna strats, well at least pierce can be actually useful for once, seriously what a crap skill

@@ladyriethegoldendelmo5441 uh-huh and tell me how many times does it come into effect to do a billion damage to a single target? you can already one round enemies everywhere on this game, a regular crit is already a death sentence to everything and adding even more damage doesnt really change anything to end results
