I bought a sling from you during Covid to try a new hobby. It is still going strong after countless hours of practice. That is a testament to your great craftsmanship. Thank you for your work which has allowed me to relax and reflect on life by the river with myself and my sling. such a therapeutic device. I might buy a new one from you soon =)
Love my Practical Paracord slings. The quality is great and anything else is just a copy. I don’t have time to make my own so I will only buy slings from Channing at Practical Paracord. I have Smiley slings and Smiley-slim slings. My newest ones have the wax coating and I can see a difference in the way it throws projectiles.
You can issue a patent for this. After all, Levi Straus and Jacob Davis had a patent for riveting pockets (using a nail, that was common on horse saddles, in a different place). Love your slings. I'm practicing with my son.
I came back to watch your video again. I like your stuff a LOT. Don't be angry. Be peaceful. Innovation is the tough part. Copying is the “compliment”.
I am so happy I learned how to throw with a sling, what power, what skill, from such a natural human skill as throwing, that extra arm or leg length....... pure magic, and pure danger. ROCK on Bro, keep the art of the thrown stone alive, good sir. Frikkin bullets everywhere..... pure joy, pure danger, and nobody suspects that 'assault style shoelace' as I like to call it up Here.... hehehe, Rock on!
The quality and performance are off the hook in my smiling slim sling. I have made about 10 slings myself and they are not nearly as good. I often sling black walnuts in my yard, free ammo! The slim sling works great for that diameter ammo. Rocks go ALOT faster/farther!
I've been making slings since 2007-2008 ish off and on as a hobby, when I find a new design or an idea I want to try I usually just go for it, that being said, more of a fan of single figner loops, double finger loops seems like it'd be kind of crazy to deal with.
I like bowstring wax on my sling, keeps the weave tight on the workin ends, and good grip on the pouch. Hehehe, lovin the shop talk, heck, taking buddy out tomorrow to get him movin, maybe porcupine or rabbits will be nice if around, gooooooood meat.
Hey brother my name is timmy lovin. I'm from grainger county Tennessee and just want to say love ur channel. And I'm a fellow slinger and happy Independence Day to u as well brother. But anyways just wanted to say hey and love the channel and I've learned alot with technique and so thank u for that.
Looks great, you are the grandmaster of paracord slings, that's for sure. The true qualities can be recognized only when used and the Smileysling always had a very solid behavior when opening. Too heavy for your throwing style? -> slim sling then it fits you right. I'm very curious about the details please save one for me.
I know you mentioned it a bit in this video, but it would be great to have a chart that explains what size objects you can put in the regular, slim, or micro pouches. I kind of want to have all 3 options so I can sling any size object, but maybe I'm just a nut.
Nice sling my man and i did let you know on my deffective sling and i sent it to you like you said . Anyway you sent it back and said there was nothing wrong with it even though you seen the pictures and told me to send it to you and you would replace it. Any nice video and great looking sling.
0:20 you have built 4000 slings in 8 years?! This means you have built on about 500 slings per year 💀 wow i wonder how long you take on average to make a sling!
If you're doing it as a business, you have to be compensated for the time you put into it, correct? Let's break it down a little. If he's made 4000 slings in 8 years, let's just assume with his experience he can make two per day in an 8hr shift. Now let's assume you can do the same (you can't, but we're assuming here). Even if the paracord and other supplies are free, how much are you going to charge for two slings? Remember, you have to pay your bills with this money, as your workday has been completely consumed by sling making and you don't have time to be working a regular job. At $160 for two slings, that's $20/hr. It's not a bad hourly rate, but it's not fleecing the ignorant and making tons of money either. If you think it's a joke, go make yourself one and see how much of your time it eats up. I can guarantee that your first will take a lot longer than half a day to make, and it won't be nearly as good. Maybe you should just admit to yourself that you're cheap because you don't have disposable income and you're salty about it.

Slings are amazing. Picked one up a couple years ago just to learn how. Now everywhere I go there’s one in my pocket.
Your slings are awesome, thank you for all you do.
Great breakdown. I've seen many variations of slings but this current combination is unique.
Subscribed, I'll definitely be buying one in the near future, found your Etsy store. Looks awesome man.

Received the sling and all I can say is wow. Best paracord sling on Etsy. Well worth the money! Excellent sling. Thanks so much
I'm so excited to get mine! I have two hybrids and a slim, and I use them every day. Can't wait to try the new one.
Very nice. I have not used a sling yet and am doing research as to what makes an awesome sling. Thank you for the video.

Are you starting with 8 strands then going to four for the release or is at all 4 and you’re gutting the cords for the release end? Very slick design!
I got 2 OG slings from you. They’re still holding up as good as new. This new design looks sick.

where did you get those slings
Love the finger loops! In case I missed it, what's the stuff you spray on your pouch?
I don't think he said. But I actually thought he started using something that wasn't paracord.
@@stevena105 i assume polyurethane or PVA glue or anything that stiffens fabrics.
Is the last sling I got this design?
Looks hot !! Still my favourite braided sling maker.
I bought a 60" slim sling 5 years ago. Still going strong
