New York City, which is one of the most popular tourist cities on earth. It is dirty, packed full of homelessness, falling apart and tons of crime. Paris and London are the SAME! We are not paid one single cent for making these videos, we have all our receipts.
We should think twice about labelling the modern western world as something to look up to.
I hope you must go to the Sanxingdui Museum, which has ancient Chinese history and will broaden your horizons.
New York is just one of many tourist cities on earth not the only one. There are still hundred of other citiese that are more well organized and much cleaner with a lot less scammers roaming around than the cities in China or New York.

There are many reasons why China is misunderstood. First, some Western countries led by the United States do not like things that are different from them, especially political systems and religious beliefs. They lack tolerance and equality; second, China's rapid progress has made some The country feels very uncomfortable. They have lost their long-standing sense of superiority and pride as the center of the world, resulting in jealousy and even hatred. Thirdly, most of the major social software and media on the Internet are controlled by Americans. For a long time, they have been encouraging Content that vilifies China while limiting the dissemination of content that is beneficial to China. Therefore, I want to pay tribute to you for showing you the real China. You can also point out things you feel uncomfortable. As long as it is objective and fair, we can accept it with an open mind and continue to improve.
I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I'm so impressed with this couple who had the courage to visit China, despite being told how "bad" of a country it is
I couldn't agree more. Western countries do their best to stop people know the truth.

There is another important reason- US government does not like any country which has a potential to win them.

In China, Kilograms called "gong jin"(公斤) or "qian ke"(千克), but Chinese weight scaling is different, called "hua jin"(华斤, Chinese jin) or "shi jin"(市斤, Market jin), or you can simply named it "jin" (斤) in China, all the same.
1 "jin" is equivalent to 500 grams, means 1 Kilograms (gong jin) = 2 jin, so when someone told you ¥35 for 1 jin, means ¥70/Kg. it's easy to convert.
Love your channel, hope this helps. Have a nice trip.
(Some old Englishman may also like to call "jin" "catty" and "shi jin" "city catty", which also means half a Kg or 500 grams, but in order to avoid misunderstanding, I think it is better to call it "jin" for your future travel😂)

For foreign friends who do not know China, in China's crowded places, you should never donate money when you see a beggar, these are people who regard begging as a profession, and they have a better income than most ordinary Chinese. Maybe when they come home from work, they drive the sports cars they beg for and go back to their villas. However, there are many places where "jin" {500 grams} is commonly used, which can cause confusion for those who are not familiar with it. Therefore, before buying, it is important to ask clearly. The man in the video initially mentioned 35 as the price of 500 grams, and later mentioned 70 as the price of 1000 grams. Buy in small quantities and give it a try. The price of 70 yuan per kilogram is not expensive. If you buy in large supermarkets or farmers' markets, the price will be cheaper.
@TwoMadExplorers It could be black sesame you're tasting at 35:00. Black sesame is quite common in Chinese desserts
Hi~ I live in another province but regularly go to Chengdu City several times a year, just to visit frineds and walk around.
If you guys are interested in some more updated and cultural local places to chill out and also for filming, I would highly recommend Taikoo Li Chengdu(成都太古里) and Tiexiang Temple Riverfront(铁像寺水街). It is very characteristic commercial planning combining with buddhism temple, local life style in an open air surrounding. Nice landscape and atmosphere. I don't have to present much here, cause it will definitely surprise you guys at the first sight. Besides, would be better experience to go in the afternoon though, and the expense would be a bit higher inside the area. But you can easily find very fair price food and drinks around it.
Chengdu is very interesting (probably as much as any old cities in China, but it is the one I am most familiar with) and it still feels like a lot to explore after having been there like ten times.
Thanks for the video. Hope you guys enjoy~
Thank you so much for your support and information ❤️🙏
Absolutely loved your video, and look forward to your next one!!!
Welcome to China. You are welcome to bring your family to visit China.
I really wish i could show you guys my hometown chengdu!
I'm in the States right now, but planning to move back to chengdu next year. Would Love to show you guys around if you ever come back to visit!
欢迎回家
Love your videos! ❤ I sent you an email with suggestions for what to visit in Chengdu.
One pic at 21;54 was interesting , you are in the city centre , yet over your shoulder the city stretches far into the distance !!
I'm currently in Chengdu and hope to encounter you. Also, the light show at 6 p.m. every evening at Chengdu Financial City Twin Towers is quite a sight.
Hi guys, love your videos, I have a little suggestion to you two, don't just stay in the downtown areas, they are just looks the same everywhere you go. As you guys will spend some time in chengdu, go check out the park where there has teahouse, where you will see how chengdu is famous for their laidback life style is. Go check out the book store and the museum, and don't forget to the countryside, it is the most worth place to visit in my opinion. Good luck and enjoy your staying in chengdu.
❤️
I really like your videos, as a Chinese, I really like Chendu too. But I think you missed the real city center of Chunxi Road, near the shopping mall and pedestrian street you have been, there is a shopping center named Taikoo Li, and there's a temple in Taikoo Li, it's really good and you can go there in the daytime and don't forget to have a chinese tea in the temple. The big panda which is climbing the building is also a very good shopping mall named IFS, IFS and Taikoo Li are the typical new shopping center in Chengdu (in this ten years), in my opinion, they are much better than the shoppingmall in Singapore and Japan...
I am from Chongqing, but I am familiar with Chengdu. If you need to recommend some places for sightseeing, please ask me directly. I recommend these three places: Dujiangyan, Qingcheng Mountain, and Giant Panda Base.
The miniso!!! Cool. Naomi we love that store as well!!!
The fruit you asked for is called 金香果, a variance of passion fruit that doesn't have sour taste. It is supposed to be a high end fruit, and they charge you 35 per 500g, which is 70 per kilo.
very nice video❤❤
If you have a lot of time, you can go to these cities, Chengdu成都 Chongqing重庆 Changsha长沙 Hangzhou杭州 Suzhou苏州 Shanghai上海, from the southwest of China to the east, these are all cities with completely different styles.
The highlight of Chongqing is in the urban area, while the highlight of Chengdu is in the surrounding areas.
Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Siguniang Mountain, Sanxingdui, Dujiangyan, Leshan Giant Buddha, Mount Emei...
Yes all very amazing places they should visit. Some of beautiful nature, some of history, culture and religion.
There are many tourist routes around Chengdu📸
1 day:
Panda Base➕Dujiangyan
Sanxingdui➕Panda Base
Dujiangyan➕Qingcheng Mountain
2 days: Emeishan➕Leshan
3 days: Jiuzhaigou, Siguniang Mountain, see the snow-capped mountains in Western Sichuan
4-5: Seda Daocheng West Sichuan Ring Line
Chengdu!!! I haven't been there but every time i see video of vlogger post about it or even photo, i fall in love with it even more. Hopefully I'll get to go there soon.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Hi from Australia.
离成都最近的地方有“重庆”你们可以去看看,那会让你们更加惊讶,“山城”。不给你们剧透那边的美景,希望你们去探索,自己发现才会更兴奋!!
The quality of your videos is truly impressive and I thoroughly enjoy them
Yes highly recommended Sanxingdui if you guys are interested in archaeological spot with tons of incredible artifacts that are from thousands yrs ago. Even though I can’t handle spicy food but Sichuan and chengdu still my fav places to visit!
What a great video!
Thanks Cheryl ❤️ hope everyone is keeping well
Happy for you guys having a wonderful time there
You should go to the rooftop to see the climbing panda's head. It's really cute! 5:59
Welcome to guangzhou.I'll wait for you in Guangzhou.
I like your video for a long time and look forward to the next issue.❤❤❤
Bravo to you both. It takes courage to tell the truth. Some of the couples who traveled the world bypassed China, to avoid controversy, I am sure.
Don’t be so daft . Zero controversy. People criticise the government not the people, culture, cities….
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez You really don't think it's a paradox? Maybe you will think that my comments as a Chinese are biased. I admit that the Chinese government is certainly not perfect, and nothing is perfect. But if a government that is so bad in your mind can make the city so clean and tidy and safe and prosperous, but a better government in your mind makes your own country more and more dirty and unsafe. Isn't that a paradox? I don't think my review will change your mind about China very much, just that I hope people reading this review will think more independently about what a place you haven't been to is really like.
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez without the Chinese government, China won't developed to the degree it is today. Chinese people have one of the highest trusts in the government in the world. They are supportive of the government because of the massive improvement to the living standard in the past 4 decades. No other country in the world has achieved this degree of development in history. You cannot separate the government's leadership in this achievement from the people
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez95% approval rating by its citizens... You won't know anything about that
@@user-jw4ct3ft4umore unsafe. Where? Even US stats are much better this year. Most western nations are safer anyway. Chinese gonernment doing great things. So that means no criticism ?
The ice cream bar, I go there everyday ! It is super quality and cheap. 2RMB for big ice cream 0,28 USD. A big cup with strawberry sauce, crunchy chocolate, ... 7 RMB almost 1 USD
So good!
