Basically he meant that when you travel into the past, the amount of time you’re bound to spend in that past period will technically become a part of YOUR future since you haven’t experienced it yet but are about to despite being in the past or present. And the time period called the present you just left becomes the past because well you’ve already done it and the choices you make in the past are your new future. Meaning that since the present is now the past, it cant be changed by changing something in the past because that’s also you’re present and future
It's just an extremely confusing way to explain that whatever happens at every moment in time in a given universe is set in stone and, no matter what you do, you can't change anything in it, no matter where (when) you travel to. What happens instead is that you create a branch (timeline) where your actions during time travel had some effect on reality, and now both universes co-exist simultaneously. However, it seems like while you can't change your present by traveling to the past, you can go back and prevent the timeline from branching out by stopping the event causing it in the first place. An example would be the Avengers taking the infinity stones and conversation between Bruce Banner and the Ancient One. Taking the stones was supposed to branch the timeline, because without them the events of movies wouldn't happen, BUT, because Steve travels back to the same place and time where the stones were taken, the branching timeline doesn't happen, AND this is the reason TVA didn't get involved, because the timeline didn't branch apart from Loki escaping and the reason why in places where Natural disasters happen and everyone dies, any changes have no meaning. This is basically the way the MCU handles time travel, which is different from Back to the Future where every time you do something, you create a new timeline and erase the previous one or DCU and CW where time travel on itself can cause changes in the timeline you know and no matter how much you try to change things back to the way they were, it won't make be the same way in the end.
THE WAY ( HULK ) EXPLAINS TIME TRAVEL IS ALL WRONG BECAUSE ( IF YOU TRAVEL TO THE PAST THE PAST BECOMES YOUR PRESENT SO IF YOU CHANGE THAT PAST THEN THE FUTURE OF THAT PRESENT WILL CHANGE AND THEN THE ORIGINAL TIMELINE DISAPPEARS ACCORDING TO QUANTUM PHYSICS
But in Loki Season 1 Episode 1, when Loki's trial was happening, Loki asked Ravonna (the judge) "why didn't you guys catch the Avengers when they time travelled", Ravonna said" Because it was supposed to happen. You escaping was not". So we already know the answer. I am not saying that your answer is not wrong. It also gives a much more strong answer to the question
It's a another timeline. First of all, the movie itself explains that a change to the timeline results in another timeline. Second, as much the writers kept saying it was all planned and that Steve was always Peggy's husband, they themselves have told before that Sousa was her husband.
Doesn't that mean cap didn't fix the psst he altered it again by growing old and marrying Carter. Why didn't the tva interfere and do cap like they did lowey.
Because it wasn't a significant change from where Kang needed it to go. We do a lot of things throughout the day that don't matter. Which foot you step off from or going to Wendy's instead of McDonald's. Even major changes can have limited effect. Peggy needed a husband and have a couple kids. As long as Steve doesn't try to make the world better, the Avengers form and eventually cause HWR to win the multiversal war. We see it in effect when Loki was arrested. They used an alternate take with slightly different lines. Nothing significant changed despite different dialogue, so no branch. But Loki getting the Tesseract and escaping means Thor 2 doesn't happen. Maybe other stuff as they try to catch him again.
@@bryanwoods3373 sure, fine, great, still doesn't explain the movie acting like it was the og timeline he ended up in rather than a branch as the movie itself states, as cap cannot possibly have been in the same time twice without time travel
@newfanguyjackson4858 Where does it show Cap was definitely in the main timeline? Him appearing on the bench is easily explained by him using the watch to return earlier and just go there when he knew it was time. Which would also explain why Bruce couldn't get him back; he was already there.
Hulk meant that if you go to the past, you experience all the things in the past again, so it's your new present. And because you time traveled from your original time to past, your original timeline is in past now. So the new changes in past becomes your new future.
But what of Thanos? Endgame Thanos (&Gamora) literally jumped ahead in the timeline... basically bypassing everything (he did) from Morag in GOTG till the final battle in Endgame.
the TVA didn't stop it from happening because it needed to happen as this was when time travel was first invented and without it Kang who created the TVA to monitor and police time travel won't gain the power of time travel. it needs to happen

And the fact that TVA knew that they dont need to interfere because they were getting orders from the end of time in which he who remains knew that captain America was going to return all the stones
It would've still have created branched timeline by the mere presence of Avengers in them. Though they would be purged by TVA Only the sacred timeline was left untouched since Avengers took care of closing the loop on that one
The infinity stones were returned at the exact same moment by captain america as he would have travelled to that particular time let the avengers take the stone and place the stones he had so thanos will get them athe snap happens and avengers will timebtravel and new captain america doesbthe same I believe that the captain america of old timeline had spent 70 years with peggy but hid his identity as in the last scene they were supposed to dance at club not in their home So for 70 years the captain america of this reality was in ice the captain andrica of previous timeline lived with peggy and in the last scene captain america before timw travelling sees the captain america who had aldready time travelled The rules of time travel qere never broken so in a lofe of cap he lived till 1945 woke up in 2011 then lived till 2019 and then lived from 1970 to 2019 crazy his past is his future and his present is past

Thats what he said or meant. He said if you go into the past, that moment becomes part of the past, when in reality that point in time becomes your future and if you do anything to major to change in the past ( killing the baby.)
