It would have been nice to see Her majesty wear a white mantilla veil. The mantilla is a trademark artwork and symbol of Spanish craftmanship. Granted its not a formal event, but it would have been nice. Queen Rania wore a white veil, why couldn't Queen Letizia.
Yeah, thats why he just RETURNED TO using the older style of the black Pallium this weekend as opposed to the modern version used by Pope Benedict XVI.

They have to keep the monarch in the environment in spain to preserve its culture. The moment they are removed, another culture it take into its place and worse its the culture that has taken Spain for 700 in the past. Only Catholic queens/sovereigns are allowed to wear white in the pope’s presence. It’s a dispensation for keeping the faith in their nations. At the end of the video Letizia was only the princess consort not the queen.
