I miss running RHIB's when I was in as an EN. Lots of great times some not so great! Still wouldn't trade it for anything!! Years later, on another job. I had the opportunity to visit USMI to see how they are built. They have some cool stuff at that place! Thanks to all who served and Halie too! 🇺🇸

My neighbor was also part of the brown water navy he was the gunner for the pbr boats used in the vietnam war. They had a top speed of 28.5 knots/32.8 mph.

My son just retired 20 years from SWCC. He’s now a police officer in Tennessee. God Bless SWCC and their Families.

Me and Will deployed a few times together. Chief West was one of about 6 years behind us. Both were great Operators.
Did a similar dog & pony show over 20 years ago right in the same spot. We used our Mark V's instead of RHIBs...."Del" SWCC Class 27... (winter class, 1999).

My grandfather brother enlisted in 1945. He severed in korean and vietnam as a army medic. In 1968 he was awarded the bronze start medal. His medic unit came under sudden mortar fire. There were two soldiers trapped and paralyzed. Jimmy went into the tent as bomb were being drop. He went against his commanding officers order to not enter the tent and rescue both soldiers onto a huey helicopter back to safety.
Jimmy never spoke once about him getting a broze star award. When he passed away his daughter told my grandfather about him getting the award. That was the 1st time my family heard about his award.

My neighbor was in charge of the navy mess hall at the great lakes back in 1967 and he remembers he always had to clean up the after the navy special forces guys. They would alway come into the chow hall after boot camp and throw up.

As someone who served in this nation’s Navy (‘05-‘09) this is some of the cringiest sh*t I’ve ever seen for recruitment.
It's really bad right now. They can't even pay people to join.

Hi, I’m a 22 year old woman and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. I’m a civilian and I want to go enlisted.
What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend?
How does the SEAL community feel about women joining them? Do you think women should be allowed to become Navy SEALs?
Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course.
Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures. Women have smaller and thinner bones than men.
With all due respect you answered your own question many times within your question. First. She can’t tell you anything about being a woman in SEALs because they’re isn’t one single woman who has made it thru the selection process. Let alone make it to a team and pass the selection through that. There is a reason NSW has women mostly only in intelligence. It’s cause by human default you were not designed to handle the tasks of special forces as an assaulter. I say this as a 25 year old with a lot of life experiences for being, prison , wildland firefighting , EMT , metro Firefighter. There is one thing I’ve learned. You’ll never know until you try but the key to not hating life for no reason is being honest with yourself. You’re training to be a seal and I’m convinced you haven’t done a single full screening regiment. Good luck lol
My advice is go swcc rather than seals or maybe join the marines or army as infantry and see if later you can lat move to recon. After some time in infantry or recon you can probably move into a special operations command like delta force or marsoc. That would be the best bet in my opinion to realistically work your way into special ops. Or you can have other jobs and end up in infantry or recon for example radio operator.. and ROs can do a pipeline into marsoc. They won’t be. Critical skills operator but you will be attached.
Females started going for SO more after that lady graduated SWCC but BUDs is a running man's school. If you go infantry in another branch then try to go naval special operations then by the time you take the PST your year group will be closed. My best advice is do three 4 mile ruck runs with a 50lbs vest or ruck every week until it becomes easy. Females kept getting injured in the DOR schools from stress fractures but train for the PST not for BUDs. The ruck runs it to see if you are an endurance runner because those runs with the boats is what makes most people DOR 👍🏽.

If all it took was a 8 minute RUclips video to sway you off this path, then it's most likely wise that you and your group don't bother trying to join because you probably would've quit anyway. Best of luck to you.
