    I love to see people still build these days!! I grew up in the 80s and built the Goldberg Eaglet 50 back then at 12 yrs old and a tiger 2... I do love arfs and even these small UMX micros, that you can fly in your neighborhood.. But building is what this hobby truly is!! Its supposed to be wok and develop skills!! But people want instant gratification these days... Keep the building alive!!

      Yes the new generations and with the abundance of ARF now available it is hard for balsa kit manufacture's to stay in business. I entered this hobby back in the 80's where if you wanted to fly you build, learn and experience the process to either defeat or victory. The joys of building!

      @@BayonasRCWorld Yep just like I said, instant gratification!! So you grew up in the 80s too, yeah Gen Xers forever..lol. You know too then like if you bought the RCM magazines in the 80s and 90s there was soooo many balsa kits to choose from then.. Arfs existed but was expensive and not the norm .. Im into rc helis too, I collect the RcM magazines off ebay, they had soooo many rc Heli kits to pick from.. None of this drone sh#t!! Tower hobbies gone down the tubes to me, they once was thee go to hobby place to order from.. Now you got online places all over the world and sell cheaper items.. like the Chinese on line stores.. But back in the day before internet I could look in a Tower Hobbies catalog all day!! That was the internet then..lol But I do love some of the new advances in our hobby.. The Trex rc helis with brushless motors are a beast!! And these brushless rc cars ppl can get up to 100mph, that was unheard of with Tamiya and Kyosho kits back in the day!! And I though they were really fast under brushed 540 motors!!

      @@RockbeThyName I love Helis since 1989 and have been flying then since. From 2013 to 2015 I was a Team Heliproz pilot. My first heli was a GMP Cricket, 2nd was a Kalt Enforcer, then Shuttle Z, tried Kyosho Concept series, 30DX, SR and 60. Moved into Thunder Tiger first many years then got into Align. So far I am a Align kinda of guy. I fly from the 150 up to 700N. My favorite by far is the Dominator 550X.

    I've thought about buying this kit from Sig. I was a bit worried about aerobatic performance of this model with that flat bottom airfoil but it seems to be fully aerobatic in your hands. Of course the model has a bit more power than the designer suggested but I understand. for those complaining about people not wanting to suffer through building a kit, relax. Nine out of ten people can't build worth a crap even if they had time. I remember all of those crooked glue bombs with krinkled covering on the flight line back in 1986. Those guys hated building and just wanted to fly! ARFs kept them in the hobby buying radios and engines and that has been good for everyone. I do miss all the great kits back in the day but have stockpiled most of my favorites.

      Yes I have encountered those types of people on the flight line as well at our local club field back in the 80's. I enjoyed building back then and throughout the decades. The Sig Citabria is a excellent kit and flyer for sure! And very strong when built as instructed without any strengthening anywhere in the structure. Just build it and enjoy flying! I have had two mishaps with her and both would have been a total loss with other kits. However the Sig Citabria has proven to be a tough plane or I could have just been extra lucky on both occasions.

      Thank you! The SIG Citabria is just a all around awesome kit and flyer. This is my 2nd SIG Citabria in 40 years in this hobby. My very first SIG Citabria was back in 1990 if not mistaken. I plan on order another from SIG and do it in a blue trim scheme or even green.

    Lol I see the TREX!! Those are a beast!! I didn't see it in other videos of the Citabria.. But you got me looking at my RCM magazines at those old rc heli Brands I forgotten about, like Cricket.. Definitely the Shuttle I remember, you can still buy those.. The kyosho concept 30 the best trainer back in the day, and cheapest to buy.. you have any heli videos?

    • @BayonasRCWorld
      @BayonasRCWorld  4 года назад

      The only heli videos I have is my Raptor's, Gaui NX4, Hirobo Tow Cobra, and Align Helis. Majority of my heli videos are here on my channel. I have a older RUclips channel that has the Hirobo Tow Cobra, Spektra G.

      Straight up excellent flying plane. For smooth turns rudder will needed to be used with Ailerons. You can program rudder/Aileron mix into your transmitter. Other than that a straight forward flying kit

    Tiny flying field for that size plane no?

      Not a flying field that's why it is a soccer field. Since then I have been working hard to get our old AMA field up and going again after 4 years of being inactive.

    Demasiado Motor de 4-Tiempos, Ese motor NO es el Indicado por SIG-Fabricante del Modelo y Escala, Muchas RPM y Mucha Hélice
    Este Aeromodelo es, para un Vuelo mas TRANQUILO, con un O.S. 0.45" o 0.50", ya vuela Sobrado y no se ROMPE la Carena de Motor.
    Por su Esquema de Pintura, Me Recordó a mi Citabria, Pero en la mía (Las ALAS eran 3- Piezas, Con un Tubo, para unirlas)

      Yes the Saito FG14c is over powered slightly. The recommended engine is up to a 70 4 stroke and the FG14c is equivalent to a 80 4 stroke. The engine firewall is strong and nothing will get damaged with the use of this engine on this plane. I have had over 40 flights with this setup to date and all is excellent. This is not my first SIG Citabria kit build this is actually my 3rd. I sold the other two.
