    This is an AWESOME video!! I think you are an amazing dad for involving your cute kids in it! It really made me smile because my dad used to build stuff for Halloween when I was a kid and he taught me so much! He was a pioneer, “Home Haunting” in the early 1960s when there were very few people who did so back then! I got the bug from him and I still make my own Halloween props. I bet your kids will do the same and remember doing these projects with their dad when they were kids! Such great memories you are making for them. Sorry so long a post! But I simply loved it!! Thanks for posting!! Dan

      Thank you so much, Dan! It makes me happy to hear that our video gave you a smile 😊
      I loved Halloween as a kid and it makes me happy to get to include my kids as they learn how to become more handy working on these props. Both of my parents are gone, and I don’t really have any family videos of them… so it’s nice to know that when I’m gone, my kids can look back on these videos and remember how much fun we had. I also hope it inspires them and other future home haunters the same way your father helped inspire you. It really does create a lot of fun memories. So cool that your dad was doing the home haunts back in the 60’s! How awesome it must feel that you got to be part of that growing up before Halloween became mainstream and making props from scratch! Your comment brought a smile to my face and made my day! I’ll read it to my kids when they get home from school so that they know our little videos are bringing others happiness as well. Thank you Dan, we appreciate your support and hope you have a wonderful day. Happy Halloween!!! 🎃 👻 🍁 🧙🏽‍♀️

    Anyone know what type of motor that is? I want to animate a bear trap and need a motor that rotates back and forth instead of continuous rotation

    Great video. Is there a link to buy this kit (perhaps a particular post on their FB page or similar)? Also, what is the cost? Thanks!!

      Thanks! The person that makes it is on Facebook under the name “Napier Home Lights” I’m not sure what he charges now but I think this kit cost me around 30 dollars. He doesn’t have a website, the only way to order is to message him on Facebook. Worth every penny!

    Weather resistant ?? This is amazing ! Now I’m curious about this! I just bought the new skelly servo ! But I kinda don’t like the head movements they gave it. I already had also bought the updated skelly non movement before they came out with the servo and I just wanna cancel the servo now cause ofcourse price and not liking the movement ! 😢

      @@aaragon49 mine has been through rain and heavy wind and still works great. Only thing is just making sure to conceal any of the wires. You can use heat shrink tubing or simple electrical wire tape. I had mine running 3-4 hours a day for all of October and no issues.

      @@HalloweenGhouls awesome i just sent them a message on their facebook page, any chance on how long it can take for them to reply or even send out orders ?

      @@aaragon49 that’s a good question, I’m not too sure because there was a setback with the storm in Texas that impacted his business. I would recommend to keep following up, as sometimes messages get overlooked because he’s a busy guy. A very nice guy though and I believe he’s upgrades the head turners this year so you can make them turn with random movements instead of just side to side.

    Ours seem super unstable when we attach the pvc. Are the skull and the neck plate laying flush? Ours is slightly tilted. 😬

    • @HalloweenGhouls
      @HalloweenGhouls  11 месяцев назад

      Hmm is the PVC fully inserted and is the locking screw tightened down? Maybe slightly more tilted which may be normal. I know things fit a little snug.

      @@HalloweenGhouls I feel ridiculous! Once the metal spine piece is placed it’s stable. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    • @HalloweenGhouls
      @HalloweenGhouls  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@thlcclglad it seems to be working ok! It’s a DIY project for sure. Just make sure to seal the area where the wires connect in case you ever get rain. I’d recommend heat shrink tubing or waterproof gaffers tape.

    Has anyone tried this with the Home Depot light kit and do the two conflict?

      I haven’t but I don’t see how they would interfere since they’re on two separate power sources 🤔
