The cranky baby tail-wiggle never gets old ♥
I didn't realize until recently that kingsnakes actually do hiss. One day my girl hissed. She usually just tail wags and musks. Lol 😂
Ture
It is so cite
@@Upper_echelon_exoticshah, I went through something a lot similar with my ball python. I never knew they could musk but not too long after I got him he musked all over my hoodie, smelled horrible.
Edit: Could you imagine if pythons could tail-wag? That would be adorable!!
Your right it doesnt
MBKs are closely related to and intergrade with desert kingsnakes (L. splendida), so you'll often see them with a bit of desert kingsnake patterning visible.
EDIT: also, every positive thing about MBKs as pets applies equally to desert kingsnakes - the only practical difference is appearance. Amazing starter pets.
Interesting, ty!
Oh COOL
Oh cool! Thanks
My dad has had a desert King Snake as a pet for some years now. She's so docile and pretty! I also live where they are native. There are 6 different species of king snakes found here.
The spotting goes away as they shed/age, mine had a lot of mottling on the belly but now she’s completely black
Congrats on breeding _yet another_ new species! 🎉 They’re gorgeous.
It is currently 9:30 pm here in South Africa and I just found out, today 29 August, that my aunt has passed away. I've been trying to remain calm and this video couldn't have been released at a better time. The thought of new life coming into the world as another has left it brings me a sort of comfort. Thank you for everything you do, Emily and Ed. Your channel has made a bad day just that little bit more bearable.
Sending sympathy and hugs your way. x
I'm so very sorry for your loss!
Sorry for your loss. Sending love and light your way ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss, love and prayers and to you and your family!
Sorry for your loss❤
Seeing snake discovery grow over the past 4 years has been absolutely incredible. I cannot believe less than a year ago, y’all were operating out of only y’all’s house, and now you have an ENTIRE FREAKING BUILDING!! The optimism, positivity, and goofy humor of this channel never ceases to amaze me 💜
Two buildings, because don't they also have their warehouse?
I know I’ve been watching for 3 or 4 years too
My spouse and I visited the zoo for the first time yesterday. Your facility is wonderful and you clearly take good care of your animals! Sam was awesome and let us pet Milkshake the Milk Snake! We had a blast and can't wait to visit again. ❤
That does not make sense
@@leanneferdinand8347 How so?
I wanna come but it’s a 10 hour drive 😭
Aww love that Leonardo's egg was the first to hatch; that teenage mutant ninja MBK is going to be a natural born leader! And I guess Mikey went out for some pizza...yeah that's it.
No anchovies, I repeat NO anchovies.
@@chriscampbell6272 You put anchovies on this thing, then you’re in big trouble! Okay?-
@@CGC_14 hahaha I'm a big tmnt fan and ya of course Mikey is getting pizza love the 1990 version of tmnt
Hatch season is my favorite time of the year! 🐍
The first snake I ever held and that started my snake obsession was a female MBK. So cool to see the first species I ever interacted with being hatched by the first snake RUclips channel I ever watched!
I just got my first female Mgk today!
I really appreciate that Emily looks into the eggs and shares with us! I am all about the science and just investigating what happened because it's interesting to know and by learning we can help prevent what things we are able to help and we can also just learn!
I was about to say the same thing! 100% agree 💜
@2:40 the Reese's in the background is so on brand for Emily 😂😂😂😂😂
The little tail rattles got me every time ❤ only little tongue flicks are even better.
Congratulations on the new species, I am getting into breeding myself in a bit and hope to do business in the future. Hope to see you at Clint's grand opening!
I remember watching years ago with you guys talking about breading mbk in the future. So happy to see babies now!!
The MBK snake is next on our list to add to our education ambassadors. Yours are gorgeous!! I hope they live awesome lives in their new homes. Great job!!
Ahhh I'm so excited that you guys have MBK babies! I've been watching your channel for over 4 years now and finally got the chance to get a baby snake of my own just last month. Coincidentally she is also a Mexican Black Kingsnake and I couldn't be happier. They are a truly gorgeous species 🖤
Congrats ! We got our first snake just about a year ago .... a male MBK. It's true sometimes they can be a bit nippy and when he's like that I use a hook to get him out, but once he's out, he's chill!
Suggesting again :) you guys should consider doing a reptile tour for 3mil subscribers! Even if you don’t want to show the zoo, it’d be great to see all the permanent breeders you guys have now!!
👏👏 congratulations on your first Mexican king snake babies, they are both gorgeous. Outstanding video thanks Emily and ED 💖😁
I have been watching this channel since i was nine, i have always cherished these baby seasons where we get to see them hatching. You and Ed inspired me so much and i have now got a hypo bearded dragon named Kami. Seeing how much you have grown will never stop amazing me. Just a year ago this was all going on at your house! Rex was even living in a room with a kiddie pool! I hope that when i am older i will be able to have the exact same career as you... I hope i will continue to be able to watch these adorable baby snakes hatch and you and Ed grow!!♥♥♥
lol the immediate striking at 30 minutes old
Aww I love my MBK and this reminds me of when I first got him a year ago. He's more than doubled in size now and they're super strong
This video was such a treat! I remember when you guys first showed off Onyx when she was a baby, and was really excited to hear that you were planning on breeding her since Mexican Black Kingsnakes are becoming my favorite breed of snake (I've had 2 as pets and they are as sweet as can be), so I gasped as soon as I saw the video title! Congrats on breeding a new specie of snake and I look forward to seeing more babies in the future!
Just LOVE watching the eggs hatch!!!!!!!❤❤
The little silent bonks are adorable.
I love the way you're always so happy to see the babies and the way you talk to them. Super cute. ❤
I’m in love with my MBK so much!!! He is currently getting ready for his shed!! He has a spunky personality! Thanks Snake Discovery
I love the little egg sneak peek in the beginning...
A few days ago, my dad came to me with this picture of a snake sent form one of his coworkers. She found it in her house and didn't know where it came from. Because I've been an animal lover all my life, he asked me if I knew what species it was and I instantly knew it was a hognose! All because of my current snake hyper-fixaction and love for your channel. I told her that it was probably someone's pet and she should ask around her apartment building. Come to find out someone in her complex had lost their pet hognose and she was able to get it back to them! It was an adorable anaconda morph!
They are SO beautiful
The tails while you’re setting up the bins 🤣 never get tired of them and the strikes and little comments
My MBK named Noxi is one of my most favorite snakes I own. She is awesome! She still rattles her tail at me when I go to get her out lol. She never hesitates to eat. My advice for a new King snake keeper: 1. Keep the enclosure clean. King snakes can be a little smelly and poop a bit more than other common starter snakes. 2. Make sure the enclosure is always fully secure. doors latched and locked. Lids on tight. King snakes are expert escape artists. If there is a way out, they will find it.. I highly recommend a King snake for a new snake keeper. Awesome video Snake Discovery :D
"Gonna to dissect this."
Thank you Lasagna. You were good whileo got to enjoy you.
Emily's excitement whenever this are new babies is not only adorable but just exciting to watch, if only we could bottle it!!
You guys have such a positive attitude. Love to all of you from Kentucky.
Congrats on breeding yet another new species! They’re gorgeous.. So cool to see these little cuties hatching!.
Ninja Turtles 🐢😂
Cowabunga!
Where's mikey?
@@chriscampbell6272 Mikey went bad during incubation. 😔
@@thatonepossum5766Not Mikey!!
😧🫨 is there a ninja Turtles? Where is Michelangelo? My baby😢 where is heeeeeeeee?!?😭
I have never clicked on a video so fast as this one xD For once, thank you youtube algorythm. They are so adorable!
I have an MBK that is my first snake and I love her. All her siblings had faint stripes but she was jet black so I named her Ink. They like to burrow and climb and are really curious so I definitely recommend them as a first snake. Plus they are good eaters, mine had a respiratory infection when I got her and didn't miss a single meal even while she was getting daily meds.
No tail wiggle can beat a Baby Blue Beautie's Tail waggle. 💕
Beautiful babies! 🥰🥰🥰 Welcome to the world little ones! New life is always exciting
Oh the MBK babies are beautiful and so is their mother! I think this is actually the variety of snake I got to hold once, I remember his name was Elvis and he wanted to go and hide in my sleeve or explore it, not sure which lol. He was a such a nice snake, perfectly happy for me to just gently rub my fingers against his scales (I'd never held a snake before so I didn't know that they'd be really smooth to the touch!)
Oh they're SO pretty! I definitely have MBK high up on my list of starter species I'd like to own one day. Long way off, perhaps, but it's still so very exciting to see new ones being bred! Big congrats on the newest species babies!!
Heyooo!! Just wanted to say you guys make my Day evertime you ppst a videos i have been haveing a hard time lately so thank you for being a aldino in a clutch of normals (if you dont mine my joke there)
"Dotty's a jerk" should soooo be a part of this Snake Discovery bingo! 😂
So exciting!!! Huge congrats. I’ve been looking into this species, and recently learned that a local breeder just had a clutch. Now I just need to decide if I want one or two!!! 💜💜💜
I love these hatchlings so much!
Always cool to see a new species successfully bred, and they are super pretty snakes. Congratulations!
Ahh, I LOVE the jet black the MBKs come in! I'm so torn on whether I want a milk snake or a MBK as my first snake. They're both so pretty and seem about equal in terms of care.. I'll probably have both in the future, but which is first is the question. 😂
Corn snakes are also a good first snake, my favorite morph is the Butter morph, you should check them out! 🙂
Congratulations! They're beautiful babies!
I love these. The glossy black is beautiful!
This species of snake has always caught my eye. It's so beautiful, and knowing that it's a good starter snake makes it even better!
I've been watching your content since I was about 7 or 8 and now im a freshman in high school, my parents are horrified of snakes so I never got to even hold one until about 2 days ago and that reminded me of you and how snakes became my favorite animal due to your account!
We just got a California king (black and white desert banded) a month ago! Found your channel while doing research and your confidence has helped to give me and my daughter confidence in handling and caring for our new snake family member! Ps, I have watched so many of your videos at this point that my husband has gotten used to your voices and says, that’s your snake people again isn’t it? 😆
Oh my gosh I've been waiting for these babies for so long!! I have a rescue MBK myself that I got just in time before the ban of selling/trading/breeding of them all across Europe, which is always the first thing other snake owners here in Germany talk to me about when they hear I have him-
These babies are so spicy and adorable
Love Mexican blacks so muchhhh❤
The fact that I just got finished with watching Teenage mutant ninja turtles Mutant Mayhem and this just got posted is an absolutely hilarious coincidence that I love.
Hi snake discovery! I love your videos so much and I rush to my phone every time you post. I have a leopard gecko, but you guys inspired me to get a Kenyan Sand Boa! I haven’t gotten one yet but I hope to someday. Thank you for all of the amazing videos! :D
I have a lovely wee kenyan. She is coming up to 18 years old now, an adopted ex breeder and the sweetest thing ever. Her name is MoaBoa. X'D Since she only had a number when she came to me. Great choice of species, good luck in the future.
Those babies are beautiful!! Sending love to you guys!!
Ive been wanting one of these for a while now, i think this is my sign!
🥰 aww, sweet baby ~ My favorite is still the Southern Speckled King. 👑 They are absolutely precious, I love encountering the in the wild, they're so chill about being gently handled.
Really cool to see MBK's being produced again, I remember the last time you two produced them and they were in your own house.
I love them! They’re so cute!
I have an mbk she’s so great! Congrats on the babies. Whoever gets them or if you keep them will have a lot of fun caring for them!
They're so cutee!!! I love snakes so much!!
They look like little soy sauce drenched noodles!!! 😍 so precious
Omg!!!!!! I love snake discovery upload days. My favourite part of mey week ❤❤🐍
My first, and so far only, snake is a MBK! He (was sold to me as a male but I don’t know if he was probed or anything like that) is about a year old and I named him Erebus. He’s actually in blue right now and getting so big. My research warned me about their feeding responses (kingsnakes) but really he’s a sweetheart. The only time he’s ever bitten me was entirely my fault cause my finger was in the way of the food. He’s jet black like the first baby but no pattern except a small white patch on his chin.
MBKs are some of my FAVORITE snakes!
and just like that, *click* my day is made!💚
Ahhh😍 I remember when my MBK was that small. I still think of him as a tiny shoelace. We just upgraded him to small rats and were all worried they’d be to big. He very determinedly horked them down😅
I've been here since you were only at the house, I can't believe how much progress you have made ❤
The sassiness never gets old😂🥷
Yay more babies 🎉. So pretty
I love the excitement with babies lol I was waitinggg for these vids I’ve been sooo comfortable now u even bench watch the hatching videos I am not scared anymore and I now I’m saying cuteeeness galoreeeeee 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤ yay love y’all’s new bins y’all grown soo much!!
The babies are back! I'm so excited. I've been having baby withdrawals the past week or so. Lol ❤
I have a MBK. His name is Frank. I am so happy you were able to successfully breed these babies! CONGRATS!
Ohh, these babies are GORGEOUS!
I’m supposed to be productive but I’m watching baby snakes hatch!! Totally worth it
I always enjoy new snake eggs hatching, what a surprise 😊❤
MBKs are my absolute dream snake and will definitely be my first snake. Seeing the spicy baby noodles just makes me want one even more!
who else loves when eggs hatch?
Defenitely my dream-snakes, so gorgeous!
They're so adorable
Those snakes are drop dead gorgeous
Honestly one of my favourite bits is the dissection of failed eggs and looking at the stillborns, I find it so fascinating xD
I’m really looking forward to getting a snake and especially an mbk snake baby around mid October or near November this year! I’m quite excited for my first snake, I’ve been wanting a snake for years and studied as much as I can about them:)
They are so adorable! They're my new favorite snake!😄
I said "aahhhh it's in blue!" In perfect unison with Emily. Mbk are some of the prettiest snakes.
I'm glad the Leonardo and Donatello babies made it at least! beautiful snakes!
They are so cute when they come out of the egg.
The blue one hatching first is perfect because Leonardo is normal the oldest
So beautiful! Love their little blocky heads. If you hold one back you should call it Blockhead.
You guys have done so many new species this year…it would be nice to maybe do a video comparison? At this late in the game I’m sure a lot of the new ones have shipped out, but even a roundup at the end with their parents and brief clips of the hatching would be cool.
An MBK was my first snake, she's an absolute sweetheart these days, but first year it was musk city lol. They're so sassy as babies.
I love black king snakes ❤ their coloring is beautiful
Beautiful 😍 new babies!
Congrats! ❤🎉
I fell in love with the MBK at a reptile exhibition my college was putting on years ago. I have wanted one SO BAD ever since. They are absolutely beautiful. The gorgeous girl I was able to hold at the show was so calm and chill. I adore this species.
I love king snakes. I have an albino cali king. He’s hilarious. Such a good boy. ❤
We have a MBK and love him... thank you for sharing
