- For the first time, we hatched out variable kingsnakes!! What a beautiful variety of colors, even though they're more orangey than we were expecting. And MUCH more willing to hatch in front of us than we thought XD

I’d suggest putting the number of eggs laid on the box top - that would help with keeping track of how many should be in the box/how many went bad during incubation, etc.
this is SUCH a good idea!!!
+
I was going to make the same suggestion!
Boost!
We need this! Bumping this up so they can see it!
obsessed with how that baby sprang into action. “oh, my egg is opening! it must be time to go!”
Right? Lol, i was thinking he was thinking "IM FREEEEEEEEE"
I was thinking he was scared. "DANGER. Must escape."
It was hairless
@@tiffanysandmeier4753ig
😂 too cramped!!
This clutch is the most fun from this year 😂 I replayed the baby yeeting out so many times. The head popping out of the container is adorable. Really suitable to put on a t-shirt 😂
and it needs the caption "do you have games on your phone? 👉👈"
They're such a fun clutch already!
I did it to thank goodness I am not the only one
@@RainebowEvee
peppermint baby just launched out of the egg like Emily owed him money 😂😂
😂😂😂
Zippy Peppermint fresh!
So true
Omg ya
2:43
I get the biggest kick watching how excited Emily gets when the babies hatch. Great job.
Me too
Me there
That baby just really wanted attention, and can you blame them? He’s so cute 😍
Right 😂
Ya! You can’t blame them!
😂
Very cute.
666likes....uh oh
I love how with every single snake Emily concludes that this is such a nice pattern 😊
Yeah righttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
They're all so pretty!!What a funny experience with the baby that yeeted itself out. It's got the element of surprise, down, at least! Everyone trying to escape is the cutest/funniest thing!
Emily: "I wonder what this baby will look li...."
Bebe snek: **Ta-dah!!** 😂 😂
You should keep the one that hatched in your hand, he/she claimed you as mom immediately 🧡🧡 these are such beautiful babies.
I vote yes
Yeeees please do that
I lost my breath cackling after that baby just yeeted itself from inside the egg. 🤣 10/10 hatching video!
You guys might need a mini trash bin, like what you'd use in the bathroom of your house. They should be tall enough to keep babies from escaping, but still small enough to be manageable for you.
Yeah, that’s be smart
I agree
You should make a shirt of baby variables yeeting out of the egg
The grandma in me wants to feed them right away 😂
Bottle fed too many kittens I guess 😺
Pretty babies!
Cheyenne is my spirit animal. Just stuffing her face over there like no one’s about.
I'd call that one baby Kool-Aid. Because he busted out of that egg like OH YEAH!
The baby shooting out the egg was definitely something. All the babies were so beautiful though
That baby flying out was everything 😍
Thats sad those snakes lost their dad. Im sure he loved them dearly. You guys are so awesome taking them in, they couldn't be in better hands. If he can see this from beyond i bet it makes him so happy ❤️
time?
@@kitkatsnowfox By their dad, I meant their owner who loved them but F'in died. What TF are you on about being rude for no reason? Grow up.
@@kuro3552 sorry for the rude tone (I deleted that comment, my apologies), but I'm still not sure what you're talking about really
@@kitkatsnowfoxthe adult variable king snakes (the parents) where surrendered to snake discovery through their adoption program because their previous owner (their father as the original commenter put it) passed away. Instead of adopting them out they decided to keep them and breed them (partly because they arrived overweight and breeding helps them loose weight) it's all explained in their egg laying video. Hope this clears up the confusion x
The one who yeeted itself out of its egg still has me giggling. I bet it thought, "My time to shine!" then yeets itself out and not caring where the egg is.😂
That baby shooting out of the egg was hilarious and adorable❤😂 🐍
He thought he was a wanted criminal!
@@laurenhenry5671yeah true
Life is like a clutch of variable king snakes; You never know what you’re gonna get
I laughed so hard at how hard it was to put ALL the babies back in the bin! 😂
Oh wow, they're all like jack-in-a-box's! Racing out to say hello, they all look so excited to be put in the world and very curious about everything. They are the absolute cutest ❤❤❤❤
If kings normally have a lot of variability, then this pairing might be more valuable because you’ll know the babies will be consistently orange.
Man, these are the ferrets of the snake world! BOING! And so beautiful... very ferrety. They made me miss my old Variable King, Diefenbacher, who was a sort of soft tan with brilliant red black-edged bands. As an adult rather elderly snake he was pretty calm and had this thing about climbing on top of my head so he could get into my hair; friendliest snake I ever owned. May your fifteen go on to make their owners as happy as Dief made me.
I REALLY would LOVE to see another isopod video to see all of the types you have and how big the families have gotten
Okay... Hear me out... If you keep peppermint baby, they should be named Peppy because of their excitement to leave the egg +peppermint
I wonder if Ed and Emily put a hide on the table if all the babies would dart into that- might be an easy way to re-contain the escapees! 😂
Wow never saw baby come out like that, and variable are gorgeous ❤😂
Yes, would love to see you guys testing the coloration for these ones! Hope you do this next year!
Was just thinking I'd love to know the genetics of these guys. It can't be truly random and there's got to be some genetic influence
there was just something about the snakes flying everywhere and the empty shells bobbing around the bin that really got me 😅
and the baby that flew out of the egg!!!!
I’ve always wanted to see a baby coming out of the egg live!!!!!
That one baby made an entrance to the world. No holding back.
This has become my comfort channel very quickly
Tip for future: if you want a larger array of colors, I would suggest pairing two kings that have more diversity between them!
I think it was a test run and they paired orange/red dominant on purpose. Kind of like how you prove out other kinds to a simple or normal morph variation.
I would liked to have seen all the babies in a deeper tub so we could see them all together. This would've shown the differences better. Keep up the great work guys.
Peppermint Baby reminds me of one of those cans that pops open with a paper snake shooting out 😂😂😂
I strongly suggest a five-gallon bucket as the time-out bin for the next variable kings.😅
1:38 - Such beautiful colors!
10:20 - So many babies! And such pretty colors!
13:55 - Noticable size difference!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤vfvjhuvhiubfbhuigf
WoW! A couple of them look like a cross between a coral snake and corn snake. They are very cool.
I’m totally not watching this on the bus to school ttootttaaalllllllyyyyyy-❤
You should get silk table cloth in case they get out of the bin. It helps because they don't really get anywhere since it's too slippery for them.
Have to love variables. Just have to remember that they live in limestone outcrops in the mountains. Their heating is a little cooler than other king snakes. I kept mine basically at room temp with a warm spot at 86-88.
Edit to add Monty is creame with thin red bands with black outline.
Ooh! Monty sounds beautiful!! 🥰
I so wish I could have a snake (or any other reptile, really), but my living arrangements do not allow for it, sadly. I just have to make do with living vicariously through other reptile owners and RUclipsrs. Lol
Enjoy your snake! 😊
It is THE BEST DAY when Snake Discovery post!! You guys are so inspiring and you make my day every time I watch you!!
❤
I can’t believe how fast that baby shot out of the egg. Love the colours on displayed
I must have missed the video on the surrender that got you all the variable kings. That's very sweet of you all to keep their previous owner's line going. These are fun babies so I look forward to more pairs and wiggly noodles in the future.
Love the title!🤭💕🐸
Emily's excitement will never not be contagious
OMG, those are SO squiggly! I think this is how non-snake people think all snakes are!
Wow, that snake literally ran out of it's egg, that was insane!
Congratulations on the beautiful babies! My favorite are the ones that are more tawny orange with the broken bands. They look so cool.
What a lively bunch. And so pretty.
Watching noodles hatch is always fun. 😄
I’ve been counting down the days until these eggs hatched! They’re so gorgeous! They have to be so much fun to breed. ❤
Lol ... Candy/sweet clutch was perfect for these energetic babies..they are moving like toddlers on a sugar rush
Just as I was hoping to open RUclips and see a video, there it is! I love egg season
I’m so excited for you guys to breed more of these in the future!! They are so pretty, and I love how wiggly they are.
First I love little babies
Nope the guy who said “Potato” is
@@Gojira_plays no I was
Now that baby definitely deserves an award for the fastest hatching snake👏👏
This video simply reinforces that kings and milks are my favorite non-venomous snake. They are all my favorite.
Always a good day when a new hatching video drops!
The variables didn't wanna stay put, LOL they're so gorgeous wow
Congratulations on your 3 million subscribers. That's amazing and well done. :)
Agreed
The eggs with a head just poking out. Just chillin half hatched. Adorable and funny
Hey Ed and Emily! So I’m thinking of getting a baby Hognose soon (my first ever snake) and I’ve been doing as much research as I possibly can but I’m still unsure about basically- everything. :’) So I was asking if you guys could do a how to video for a new baby hog? Being feeding time, enclosure sizes throughout growth spurts. You guys are my most trusted reptile channel and I would feel a lot more confident in myself if I got some advice from you guys. If this is a bad time or something that you don’t have time for that’s completely ok! As I said I trust you guys a lot because you guys are genuinely good people. Wish I could’ve gone to the recent expo but I was unable! As I said before if this is something you cannot do then I understand it’s just a small request! I adore your videos and you fun personalities keep being awesome!! :)
I think they already made a video like that a long time ago.
It's not a donut, silly, it's a Lifesaver!
EDIT: I'm just thinking, with the uniqueness of the patterns, you could probably determine which snake came from which egg and name them accordingly!
2:51 “OH MY GOSH HELLO” Emily said calmly 😅
I love the bright orange collar on the one that was out of the egg. Also, the phrase 'herding cats' comes to mind. Herding tiny bb sneks?
I've been waiting for this one! I got one of these little guys so I was really excited to see him hatch.
What colour did you get, may I ask? And congrats! 🎉🐍
These babies!!! So pretty!!
So cute 🐍
5:21 Omg that is the cutest thing I've seen today!
Ed wrangling snakes and Emily gushing over patterns and faces😂😂😂
I’ve been waiting for this clutch video!!! Love the variability of them ❤
Yay, more babies ❤
That baby that shot out reminds me of the snake container pranks. Were you open the lid and they all pop out 😂
Soo cute tho ❤
Peppermint baby was my favorite just for the way he came into the world 😂❤
I just love love love the variable kingsnakes! so wish we had them in Australia
Emily and Ed I adore you both and think yall do an amazing job ❤
These babies are SO tiny and adorable!! And the way those three babies went over to Ed's hand!!
I really want a snake someday, and more than anything I want a scarlet kingsnake... mostly because they look like coral snakes and I think it would be funny to freak people out when they think I have a pet coral snake, lol.
5:20 most cutest baby snake I’ve ever seen
I was waiting for this video! What beautiful babies they are✨ Those super cute little faces! So pretty, so explorative and so healthy🧡🤍🖤 Welcome to the world!
I would assume the colors depend on the parents and the ancestors kind of like how it works with dogs. If the breed can have multiple types, it's hard to pinpoint which type the puppies will end up. Some types are more dominant (eg. If you pair a white/ cream with a brown, most of the puppies will be colored rather than white.) But sometimes colors skip generations, two white dogs can get multi-colored puppies or even a black puppy. It all depends on what the dogs have behind them liniage-wise
That baby just YEET! You learned a few things from this clutch, twitchy, all will escape and can just YEET! Plus they arn't as variable with their parents, lol. It might be because the parents are both simular in color. If you breed two vary different colored ones you might get combinations you haven't seen hence the variable. So it might just be because it was a red to orange pairing.
Magnificent video as always. . . I just can't get over how the baby just said "I'm outta here" Was kinda expecting others to do it too. Cause it could have been a response to danger. "I've cut the egg, something is trying to get in so I must leave"
I bet Ed was just waiting for the perfect time to point out the baby with it’s head above the plastic box!!!
That baby was excited to see the world, just shot right out when it had the chance!!!🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
Life is like a incubation tub fulla variable kingsnake eggs... you never know what you're gonna get
Watching you guys try to get all of those escape artists back into the bin reminded me of SpongeBob “Three hours later….” 😂
I found it so adorable that you got one baby back in the box then another escaped!!
So lucky that that baby snake that shot out of the egg didn't catch on the razor blade, that was a bit scary. Cool about the surprise colors of variables.
I love variable kingsnakes 😍
Best hatching video ever! When that baby came shooting out my coffee went everywhere 😂
Second baby was inspired by the motorbike an goes woooooossshhhh!! What a way to born, zoom noodle 😂
Yay, cute little babies!!
I clicked so fast to see the babies! ❤
Emily: Awh! Look at how cute the snakes are!
The snakes: *run brothers and sisters. We must escape!*
I think that baby wanted to be one of those "snake in a can" toy, that's why they shot out of the egg 😂
Love your videos!!!!!!
Well they escaped a lot but the ones that hid in the incubator were a bit more adventures.
The Variable Kingsnakes are soooo pretty. And so smol and cute!
That donut probably was a life saver. This clutch is so cool!
