In this video I unbox and review the newest 15.6" portable monitor by the company KYY. It's full HD 1080p USB-C HDMI Gaming Display, it's perfect for editing like I show you in the video having your editing preview window all ready to go. It's also great for opening up tabs on another screen, I actually just got done looking at Zillow while I was uploading this video. The speakers are ok but I really like the sharp display. The stand is awesome protecting it and then seconds as a stand. As seen in the video you can turn your smart phone into a computer using Samsung Dex. Thank you for your time.

Extremely helpful. Mine didn't come with a quick start guide in the box and I was having trouble figuring out how to properly fold the magnetic cover to make it a vertical stand. This video solved that problem.

This with the Xbox series s is the ultimate portable combo. Especially with the series being such a compact, yet powerful machine. Can't wait to get hands on this thing.

7:47 shows you how the flap should be setup. Can't adjust brightness on my macBook Pro via USB C but it'll do for now. A little low on the brightness but works okay in a controlled environment where you can have light.

I know I'm a little late with this video but hopefully people still hang around and can help with my question. My main goal is to have a more portable set up for my old Xbox One X when I travel so I don't need anything fancy.
From what it looks like though, I can have my Xbox plugged in through the mini HDMI, have the monitor charging from an outlet via the USB C, and have a portable speaker hooked up through the aux if I wanted to yeah?
It is the first time that I see an unboxing of technology in the kitchen. I liked. 😆

Great job, I also own it and you can Bluetooth a keyboard with a mouse pad to your phone to have full control of surfing and typing
So when we plug mine in, it’s shows it’s connected as it shows some notifications from my phone but won’t play video? Could it be a phone connection issue with the port?

Have only ONE USB-C port on my laptop. Tried a USB-C hub, and the monitor WON'T POWER through that. Any ideas on what can be the fix? I figure powering from the included power adapter and cable is an option but wow - was hoping for something a bit more streamlined. Great review!

Interesting - you know that you can power it through that silver cable from JUST your laptop, too? I have a series of podcasting- "stuff" I need to jack in at the same time and am digging in to find a viable, easy solution.

Curious, Looks like you are running Vista?? Did I see that right in a world where Windows 10 is about to be replaced by 11. Why? Is this monitor compatible with 10 and will I have full touch screen function (tap, draw, move with multiple fingers) ? Do they support modern drivers?
Plugged my Galaxy S21 via USB and the monitor powers off every time you rotate the phone to landscape. Turns off/on/off with Dex. Do you know of this issue? Really don't want to have to use the external power brick

I just bought this thing it is not being recognized at all by my Windows 10 laptop. Tried updating graphics card drivers, tried every possible connection type. sent an email to support, no response. buyer beware

you have to change your audio output. Click the Speaker symbol in the system tray to see your outputs list. Click the little up arrow in the top right hand side if you're using Windows.
Hi I don't know if you still respond to comments on this... My issue is that he keeps flashing the kyy across the screen. But it's saying no signal. I have it plugged into say my phone and I cannot get it to come on to show me anything can you tell me anything please

ok so the same monitor had troubles with my macbooks at home, then I realized it has 2 usb-c ports and for display you gotta use the lower one
as far as the speakers go -> the 15mac book pro rips this screen display in parts, it would make sense to not include them making it ligter and thinner too :)
It wouldn't work with samsung a51 device though vis usb-c. it's the most popular android device of 2020..)))

Am using this connected to an Apple Tv. Use it in parties 🎉 for karaoke monitor and to play music videos. Play games on it from the apple tv. Occasionally hook it up to my Xbox series S. Its a good clear quality very good bright picture.

You connect it to the tablet to your phone and you can screen mirror but that’s for Samsungs and stuff unless the type c Apple charger works

So it can be powdered only by the phone? When using usb c with the laptop you still need wall power?
If you are using HDMI then you need to power it with the USB-C cable. If your device is capable of sending video through USB-C then you only need to use the type c to type c cable plugged into the port with the lightning bolt for both power and video.

@@brendanmchugh6323 They are good monitors just make sure you have the right cables. Look here on RUclips. All USB-C cables are not the same.

If this is a paid promotion, how does anyone know it is truthful and reliable? The instructions in the tiny booklet are awful. They really do not instruct very much. They are mostly diagrams with sentence fragments. It would have been nice if you had shown the actual set-up, rather than turning off the camera , seting up the monitor, and then turning camera back on. Potential buyers should be aware that they need to be EXTREMELY close to a wall outlet if they plan to use the AC adapter. If the outlet is at a normal wall level, it will be very hard to plug in the monitor. If the wall outlet is at desk height, this will not be a problem. I may return my monitor because of the AC adaptor and lack of instructions.
Hello, make sure your letting your computer know your using 2 monitors so you can access the screen, yes the power cord is short I just used my 6 foot one I already had. Other than that the monitor is very nice with no other cons for it.
