      Thanks Paul. You know I've been building models off and on since I was a kid. I never knew to do prep work. This community is so insightful. I can't believe the difference in my builds.

    BMF, then clear. That way, the clear seals the BMF down, and prevents it from ever peeling in the future.

    I've found that some primers require less sanding. The finer ones like Tamiya and Mr Color. I like what you're doing with the Impala, should be a killer build.

    I did that Impala last year, and yea, that hood was a pain. Mine still fits poorly.

      I always primer in grey to find all the defects or exacto marks from scribing.even if i go with a different primer colour afterwards.I use Duplicolor but still wet sand.
      We just celebrated Canada's Birthday...so to you my friend i wish a Happy July 4th.
