2 months ago i bought a blue ST Line X 155 HP with glassroof, Winter package and Design package inluding 19" wheels and bigger spoiler. Lovely car, makes a lot of fun!
Great review, I’ve had mine for three months, same spec but with 18 in wheels. You get the best of both worlds, on a decent run in eco mode I am getting 55-60 mpg and on B roads in sport mode it drives like a sports hatchback. I had fast fords back in the 70’s but this is the best car that I have owned.
I have the ST LINE X VIGNALE auto in Agate Black. Great car, very good fuel economy in Eco mode, depending on driving style have achieved 62.3mpg, avg 47 to 53mpg. Sport mode fun to drive!! 10/10!
I bought a 3 year old st line x 125bhp a month ago. I love it. I drive it mostly in sport mode and find I'm getting around 430 miles from a full rank (42 litres). I've just topped up again and driving in normal mode to see if there's a fuel mileage difference and so far it's saying 490 miles so it will be interesting to see what I actually get out of it. My next test will be using a full tank in eco mode.
Just upgraded from a rather mundane 69 plate 1.5L diesel EcoSport to a 72 plate Puma ST 1.5L in Agate black with the performance & winter pack and panoramic roof, and since picking it up I've had that same massive grin on my face lol
I've had many new Fiestas over the years and was upset when Ford ended the type, but moving over to the Puma has been a big plus point a great replacement to the Fiesta.
Mines coming for September 1st. It's one that has just come from the factory and apparently has all the bells and whistles. It's currently sitting at Dagenham docks awaiting customs clearance. Megabox? Stuff that crap about hosing muddy boots down in it or extra space for shopping mines going to be full of spare wheel!
On the sunroof rattle, I found that a piece of trim was slightly out of place. If anyone has that rattle. try pushing the ceiling trim a bit and I heard mine pop back into place, and it stopped the noise :)

Andy, according to the current Ford price list this car the ST Line X with DCT is only available with the 125PS engine. The Vignale spec does have the 155PS with DCT.
155 hp is now also available as a auto ' Vignale no longer available with a sunroof or power boot or reverse camera as standard So barely hanging onto the Vignale Title imo
That smile and grin on your face fiveteen minutes into the video is exactly what happened to me when I test drove a 155PS 6 speed manual Vignale version of the Puma for over an hour. Ended up ordering one that very same day (July 2022) and it's due for delivery in January, can't wait! Great review.
One of the best reviews I’ve watched… tho U mention the Puma having heated seats & steering - is this a package as I have none of this on my Puma ST Line X ??
Both good options, the yaris would probably be more reliable long term but probably not as engaging to drive overall. Might be worth checking both out at a dealership
The ST is a different car completely, and not part of the standard Puma range. It’s common for brands to separate the performance version of the car completely from the standard range.
Why does everyone want a small SUV? Some of us still want a small hatch. I had a focus and now a fiesta. I just can’t find parking space for a bigger car. I’ll just go and get a VW ID2 if Ford don’t want my money when I have to buy an electric. But until then petrol is actually cheaper and has more range.
Drum brakes in the rear, really 😮 If i remember correctly the e-assist is 11Kw and 40Nm. (Total 210Nm now was 200 in overboost in the non MHEV 125HP) I wished this color was available for my Focus.
I’ve had the misfortune to drive 2 of these (when my cmax was in for service), both basic titanium models. Wow, bone shaking ride, and mega road noise along with cheap scratchy plastics everywhere (yes I know they were the base models, but still…..). Tupperware box instead of spare wheel, and then there’s mega bill for wet belt replacement (if it doesn’t break first and brick the engine) looming for the second owners. Having said that there’s plenty of them on the road so I guess lots of people like that sort of thing. Takes all sorts etc :-)
This dumb UK trend where people present cars but they film themselves speaking when driving it instead of actually showing us the car. I will never understand it. Seems nonsense. Like we are not here to see you, we are here to see the CAR rolling.
That’s not the point of the video at all, the purpose of this video is to tell people about the car and what it’s like to live with. Not to mention, it’s incredibly difficult to capture good rolling footage of the car (as a solo videographer) There are plenty of videos online of what the car looks like visually in motion, and I include plenty of B-roll shots in all my reviews of what the styling and features of the car look like. The 155 is a lot quicker and bundles more torque evrywhere
40MPG !!! My old 1990 transit did that 30 years ago. And it didn't cost £25k.
Thee 155 is better on the motorway excess of torque at all speeds and gears
