My first horse was a 7/8 TB X ID gelding, he had the best characteristics of a TB with a little extra substance, a beautiful horse with a wonderful temperament. Until then I’d ridden mostly ponies and cob types, so the first thing I noticed was the length of his stride and how effortlessly he seemed to cover the ground. They are the athletes of the horse world. He stayed with me until he sadly passed at the age of 28 and in his latter years I had to hold him back when hacking out, he was still a hooligan at heart!

Thanks for the hint! Indeed you're right, but its sometimes super confusing with all the colors, e.g. the bay one is called "brown" in German but there are also differences between AE and BE e.g. chestnut is called sorrel in the american englisch😅

Hmm The General Studbook was published in 1793-- the Hungarian Shagya Arabian studbook came out in 1789.. Brits were late to the game.
