Gunkanjima instead of tuning his strings up a whole step, he put a capo on the five strings so that he didn’t have to tune them. If you don’t know what a capo is, it’s a clip that you put on your fret board that basically moves the neck bridge down, making the notes change. Hope that made sense
Just want to say I've been following you for quite some time and you always nail every cover with tone and your playing skills. Your other videos are also really helpful. You've inspired me to start doing guitar covers on my channel this year so thanks man and keep up the great work.
This is the best cover of Feeling This I’ve ever heard!❤️ I ordered Tom Delonge’s signature Epiphone guitar and I can’t wait to own it and play this song and all the songs from the ST album on the guitar!😍
dude your covers are great to watch, and i appreciate that you also cover the little nuances of the playing here and there in Tom's tracks. Really love these.
This is so good! I think I prefer to listen to this over the studio recorded version just because you can really hear the guitar and that’s like my favorite part
If anyone's watching this in 2024, just tune to drop D and capo normally on the 2nd fret. Tone is spot-on, playing is great, but 5 string capoing is just asking for problems, especially if you're playing live. It's not too hard to bar 3 strings for those I-V-VIII power chords for the outro chorus either.
how do you get the tone to sound like that I play on my normal amp' with a fender squire stratocaster on standard e tuning and with my capo on the second fret and it doesn't sound like that how do you make it sound like the tone from the song
a lot of the chords have the d string open. and with the capo on it rings out an extra "E" note. makes the chords sound fuller. tom did it a lot around that time.
Pewwe Sparkles well yeah now Tom is horrible live but back in his prime he was pretty good for his own skill set. Jon’s super tight cause he’s a better all around player, was never saying that jon was a horrible player or that Tom is the greatest
When this song first came out I listened to it straight for 8 hours. It was a great day
fuck maan... same thing here... i didnt knew the other songs because i couldt go past this song.. i listen to it for hours. greatest song of all time
You were really FEELIN' THIS huh matt?
@@tannerthepanman9202 ahahahhaha
how many years later still listening to it fact they Mark/Tom wrote two different songs in seperate rooms and combined them is just unreal!!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This was perfectly executed man, i've never seen a cover that was this accurate. It'd be great if you make a tutorial, thanks a lot
5 string capo to make open E without retuning. Creative!
Chase Allsup how do u do that?
@@illhancovers3801 depends on your capo really
Holy shit
I dont get it

That tone is so perfect are you sure you’re not the real tom Delonge
i dont know anymore
Fractal? :-)
he would have to play sloppier for that
That tone man holy fuck

One of my favourite Blink songs and you smashed it bud :) I love the tone!
By far the best guitar cover of this song!👊
This is so good! I think I prefer to listen to this over the studio recorded version just because you can really hear the guitar and that’s like my favorite part
I knew when u were standing up it was gonna be 🔥. U crushed this man
damn bro this is well executed, good job!
The outro was so clean!
I never noticed that this great guitar solo is on feeling this 😂
My favorite of all the covers.
Ahhh I see how you didn’t cover the low E string with the capo, so that single note won’t sound odd. Very clever! 😎
i really hope you never stop making videos man!
hopefully i will some day!
I'm happy that you keep playing the guitar after so many years
My favorite blink song love it my dude
really liked the solo bit at the end
I still dont get why they tuned down to drop d and used a kapo so they have an e it doesnt make any sence to me
Just loving it, man!!

Awesome, man! Love it!!!
What size strings?
That guitar is so boss!!
Nailed it again man
A very tight cover, great work mate 👍🏻
Killing it dude! ✌️
As always good one !!
Great cover!
Great job man
Sounds great dude! Like the guitar collection too;-)
Best stuff on youtube
is the capo covering every srtring except for the Low E?
Yup
What amp and pedals do you use I want to get a really good blink that be but am failing miserably 😂
This song is played in Drop D isn’t it? (With Capo on fret 2 obvs)
It's a weird set up, the capo isn't on the low E at all just a through high e
You can play it both ways and it'll sound correct either way.
There’s a lot of ways to play this song
Wonderful! Iam just trying powerchords for days but it doesnt works
Awesome, can you play Dammit?

He has an axe fx which gives him any tone he wants
I don't understand the point of the capo. I play this song in E standard and it's the same thing

Jon... You're just insane!
crazy insane?
@@littleredguitars2 maybe 😁 but I mean insane as in "insanely good"
you aced it as usual :)
Singing along with the “Are we alone, do you feel it?” Is a mood
not bad Tone to be honest , nice job bro you slayed it !
Superb Jon. Seriously want a song that is huh?
Just a little thing but I think every second phrase is meant to lose the upstroke at the end. if that makes sense
it really makes no difference
Get ready for action !!!
Good shit man
You have probably mentioned it but what do you record with? Use digital amps or you mic an amp?
axe fx 2
What are your amp settings? Or are you going DI?
is the E string down tuned with a capo on the second fret or does the capo just not cover the E string
you can do it either way. i prefer to just leave it in standard and not cover the low e string
You should replace Matt Skiba Sir !! haha
Agreed
Fucking awesome.
Now we're picking up steam.
I love it
Yo, which BKPs do you have loaded in this Gibby? Did you say they were those anniversary ones?
10th anniversary
is your capo on all except the low E? i thought it was played capo 2 in drop D
yes. and you can do it however you want. i prefer this way
@@littleredguitars2 i've never played it that way, ill have to try it
Set ampli?
ok but how do i get this tone within bias fx 2
Can't help you
littleredguitars2 oh hi Jon!! Big fan. That comment was me just mouthwatering over the tone you had in this cover.
You should do a new cover of Asthenia
What tuning is this in?
nice little riff at the end. when i saw your guitar i knew you were capable of more than blink182 songs XD
You should check out my original music! Link in the description
bro your guitar!!!!!!!!
Bro
Hey man can anyone give me a tab for this way he is playing it it seems the most accurate
Is blink your Favorite band?
Nope. Rush
How did you get that tone? :)
Axe fx 2
dude you play better than tom hahaha
Pewwe Sparkles i mean he wasn’t singing while playing but yeah Jon killed it
@@mxtchhhhh man you have to admit it tom is not a good singer not even his own songs i think he even know it already

good job :)
why the capo???????
Ask tom
Plz
gotta make a lesson for this bro
Not bad. You just need to...jk that was awesome dude!!!
Dude that tone made me feel inappropriate feelings🥵 I have a Line 6 Spider amp and I’m searching high and low for a tone like that😩
Зачем тебе дома шапка?
I wanna look cool
Instrumental
should be closer to the guitar
No u
Actually better than Tom himself
Essa é mais difícil pra encontrar um tom perfeito, Thomas exagerou no mix do estúdio, mesmo assim você mandou muito bem 🇧🇷 saudações 182
I could play this better with one hand tied behind my back
Let's see it then
