For carriers not equipped with internal loop (most, unfortunately), sewing on loop strips is the only reliable, duty-grade option if you want to keep using that carrier. We include loop strips with an adhesive backing to making the sewing easy with every IceVents Classic Ventilation Pontoon order. Here is a link to our instructions: www.qoreperformance.com/blogs/military-insights/how-to-sew-adhesive-loop-strips-onto-your-plate-carrier-to-install-icevents-body-armor-ventilation-pontoons Other carriers, like our IcePlate EXO (ICE) and the First Spear STT shown in this video, have loop built-in to make things super easy. www.qoreperformance.com/collections/iceplate-exo/products/iceplate-exo Hope that helps, but let us know if you have any additional questions. #StayFrosty
Umm.. yeah, I'll stick with SKD. Next time leave the marketing references out of it and talk more about how and why the product may be better. "New hotness" give me a break. Even down to the name of the company and the naming of the product. Ridiculous. And those shoulder pads with exposed bearing nylon will create hotspots, much like the uneven forming of the closed cell on all of the pads. Pressure points exist due to the changes in density especially during dynamic movement. As for the thermal properties of closed cell, it is one of the most efficient insulating materials commercially available, with aged R-Values above 6.0 per inch. ... In addition, closed-cell foam provides an inherent air barrier with low moisture vapor permeability. Not something I want to have on me for long periods of time where friction generates heat not to mention the environmental conditions one may be operating in. Name them "ICE PADS" 😂😂😂 snake oil I say.
You are 100% spot on with closed cell foam being great for insulation, but not ventilation. You are also definitely on the right track for maximum heat retention under your carrier, so sticking with the products you already buy sounds like the right plan for you.
I'd really love to see a plate carrier review of the STT
That Taser Shotgun is extremely rare. Probably worth thousands to the right collector.
If I don’t have loop on my carrier already (gen 4 ferro carrier) are there any other options for mounting or just say screw it and sew on some loop?
