This must have been on when I was in my late teens or early twenty's judging by the styles and cars,so I was probably too busy being young that I missed this show. Thank goodness for RUclips. This is a loft of fun to watch.
Never had much time to sit and watch TV, with very few exceptions, I sure am enjoying myself since retirement gives me more time than I need. I can't believe this was so unpopular that the series was canceled after two years? Thank You for sharing
I enjoy the camp, but come on, the story lines (especially season 2 ) are weak, almost as if the writers brainstormed with middle schoolers. Husband: ".. so maybe she (his wife) was hooking.." another suburban wife, basically says, hooking improved her married life. So far, every episode I've seen in S02 , the writers gave up I'll leave out the ridiculousness of her being Columbo's wife.
I had an 88 Ford Ranger, which had the same engine, but FI instead of a carburettor. Gutless as can be. Went faster in 2nd than in 3rd. Maxed out at about 75 mph.
This has to be the most murderous goddamn suburb in the US. At least Lt. Columbo had an excuse to bump into murders (they called him up to come down when someone dies). This is a housewife stumbling into murders week after week after week on the way home from the PTA.
"Mrs. Columbo" Ladies of the Afternoon (TV Episode 1979) Kate has divorced her famous husband, changed her last name back to maiden Callahan, and moved to San Fernando with their girl to work for a new paper. Her first investigation involves a suspect who claims he didn't murder his wife. - imdb 6.9
I love Kate Mulgrew as Mrs Columbo, Capt Janeway, and I wish I saw her onstage as Katherine Hepburn. My question is why are these opening titles so different from the rest of season 2?
Kate is looking thicc in this episode and I love it! Am I crazy or did it sound like she channelled Red at 31:38? And also other moments during the scene with "Lucille's" husband?
It is a good start to the second season and a great episode, prostitutes are people who need respect, in the end Kate is the always empathetic Captain Janeway.
It's called afternoon because the women WERE Ladies of the Evening, aka hookers, who had the sex when the kids are at school (the afternoon ) then were home in time for dinner without hubbies knowing about their wives career.

I wish there was more of this
Excellent bit of driving there Kate!!! Meaning to attract police attention! Nicely done indeed 👍👍
Very smart indeed!
True but not in a Pinto. Can you say Boom!
Awesome series. I love how nosy she is 😆
Kate Mulgrew is so scientific and analytical...just like Mrs Columbo and Capt Janeway. I love her.

Peter Falk put a stop to this show. They even changed the name of it, but he wanted it stopped. So, they stopped it. It's so good, too.
This is great. Love stepping back in time. Thank you for taking the time to upload these! Love the van with cactus on the side. Lol
I love the older shows. Clean
thank you for this great serie.
Great show
Capt Janeway almost hooking up with Mr. Boogedy in the hotel room!
Light and enjoyable mistory
Wow! Elliott’s mom from ET! “Excuse the mess. I work”. Lol.
Aka Dee Wallace.
Wow Kate thats some change about from 50s housewife to super hot 80s kickass reporter and with added bonus Ted Danson haha
Your comments on all these videos is honestly giving me life right now :D
The Kate Crusade your videos and kate are giving me life.
Thank you.
Janeway before becoming a captain and then put in jail as Red..
Gaz pedal floored yet the Pinto struggle to reach 80 miles per hour... Still the Pinto was an adorable little US car
I had an 88 Ford Ranger, which had the same engine, but FI instead of a carburettor. Gutless as can be. Went faster in 2nd than in 3rd. Maxed out at about 75 mph.
Is that an old Ford Pinto she's driving? I'm amazed it didn't burst into flames when she rear-ended that car
I had one for 5 years. I never changed oil or air filters and it was always stopping in traffic

Lol!!! Ikr, no wonder this show got cancelled!!!!
I don't believe for a minute that Lt. Columbo would approve of his wife pulling a stunt like this.
Then I guess it’s a good thing theyre divorced in this episode lol
lol
I don't think that Lt. Columbo would approve of this dress, let alone the stunt ; )
Mrs. Columbo does not need any "approval" !!
@@lyannenescro1203 whatever gave you that idea?
So what was she doing driving that car like a bat outta hell ? You wanted the cops ,well there they are !
I know right, shes irritatin asf still speeding all crazy after she got the cops attention!!!! Risking her life and others!!!!!
Now i see why this show got cancelled, shes so annoying!!!
Cheers!
is that a very young Ted Danson
Lunch? The last thing on my mind
IMO this would have done better without the Columbo tie-in. Just run as Kate loves a mystery. Kate could've been a journalist for a bigger paper.
good show !!!
Ah, Captain Pat Chambers.
Oh, the poor wife-hitter, he cries tears of self-pity... The hitting is not even worth talking about in this anachronistic thing
Ya now to get rid of gold diggers
Amazing how she works on murder cases without consulting with her husband.
Not amazing at all !!
Where can I find the intro music? I love it

Thank you for sharing these. Any idea what year these were broadcast? Looks like their in the late 70's or early eighties. Love these older shows.
Leveeah Adir 1979/80 ;) They have a certain charme, don’t they?
I wish restaurants had this music again
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
God damn why does this happen to every show I watch??? I am shipping Kate with Varrick so hard.
I love Kate Mulgrew as Mrs Columbo, Capt Janeway, and I wish I saw her onstage as Katherine Hepburn. My question is why are these opening titles so different from the rest of season 2?
"I'm from the Valley Advocate." Now wait, The name of your paper is the Weekly Advertiser!
I only know Kate as Mary Ryan on Ryan’s Hope
Kate is looking thicc in this episode and I love it!
Am I crazy or did it sound like she channelled Red at 31:38? And also other moments during the scene with "Lucille's" husband?
It's a shame that this had 2 seasons but only a total of 13 episodes in all.
SAM!!!!
Doesn’t anyone I’m town or on the paper ever notice that she is solves murders?

Mrs. Columbo posing as a lady of the night is my ultimate fantasy. Stop deleting my comments youtube.
In this episode Kate Mulgrew is a lady of the afternoon NOT a lady of the night HENCE there was obviously No sex play Of Course.
It's called afternoon because the women WERE Ladies of the Evening, aka hookers, who had the sex when the kids are at school (the afternoon ) then were home in time for dinner without hubbies knowing about their wives career.
This one was a bit louder.
She's not Columbo's type. I don't see her with Peter Falk. Now Valerie Harper yes but not Kate Mulgrew. No wonder this series got cancelled!!!
I can see now why this show didn’t last that long
The 'men' have curved backs and pinheads, and the 'women' have Adam's apples. You do the math.
