Into the secret place is a song I felt led to write back in September 2023. The secret place of prayer, the journey through the wilderness/valley to offer a sacrifice of praise and the wrestling with God in the dark night of the soul seem to be very much linked and help us to know the Lord in a deeper way. You may feel that the Lord has left you alone in a valley or wounded as Jacob after wrestling with Him in the night, but know that the Lord has trusted you with a greater level of responsibility to navigate the trials He is allowing. You have been found faithful and your faith will be purified through the fire.
“For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” - Isaiah 57:15
