Something stirred in me when I heard the outcry for the famous Sycamore Gap Tree which was felled in an act of vandalism two days ago. I could hear the greater cry of the voiceless. Please share this so that their plight may be heard.
Words,music and video by Sarah Begaj. In memory of the 10 million written when the Sycamore Gap Tree was felled.
I heard of a tree
A sycamore tree
A landmark indeed
For all to see
In the valley between
Two countries
Now it’s gone
The axe had no mercy
Like the one who wielded it
Not considering its history
Or potential for future leaves
Oh the outcry of grief
For the sycamore tree
A landmark no more
Just a stump without glory
I’ll tell you of a travesty
Not a tree that lived to be 200
But 10 million sons and daughters
Who never saw the light of day
Or breathed a breath
Or spoke a word
Or grew up to play
Or know the touch of care
I’ll tell you of a travesty
A son and daughter poisoned to death
Left to starve, or pulled apart
Sacrificed to modern lies
That they were just a clump of cells
With no life
But oh the heart of God does grieve
For the blood stained sheets
For the pain and grief
For the blessing those children
Could have been
I heard of a child
An unwanted child
Unseen, unknown by man
Hidden in the valley of Hinnom
Now he’s gone
His cries unheard no mercy shown
No birth certificate or home
THey did not consider his future
The things he’d achieve
No outcry of grief from authority
Just hidden tears of regret
From the mother whose child she never met
The God who sees, the God who grieves
The greatest slaughter of ou r time
Will you be a voice for the voiceless and end this crime?
And for the ones who need to be healed
There is hope there’s forgiveness there’s a way to be free
Come to the One who knows you by name
To the Son of God -Jesus for HE knows your pain
He paid the price for your sins on the tree
He was cut down, beaten and died in your place
And He holds your child and He sees their face
No safer arms or loving embrace
Trust in Him for He holds all things
He’ll keep all those committed to Him
Jonah 4:9 - 11
9 Then God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”
And he said, “It is right for me to be angry, even to death!”
10 But the Lord said, “You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which [c]came up in a night and perished in a night. 11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left-and much livestock?”

So true and powerful Sarah, a significant historical tree is cut down to a shock of everyone but the even most significant lives of little human beings are ended and it’s become a normality, something people just accept and ignore. Not anything that might shock. What is bad has been made right in our eyes, justified and acceptable. God, have mercy on the land.

Zachazeus was a little man, and a little man was he.
He climbed it on the sycamore tree, for the lord he wanted to see.
As the lord passed that way he look up on a tree.
Then he said, zachazeus come down for today i want to dine with you in you house.
He was happy, that the lord wants to dine with him in his house.
Zachazeus repent and confess his sin to the lord and also promised to pay back double to the people, whom he had currupts from them.
The salvation come to zachazeus when he repent and confess to lord his sin.
And also that he want to get rid from thy sin.
Jesus and his Angels in heaven will be happy when one sinner repent than some righteous on from the churches who need no repentance in thy sin because thy feel shy to repent that it'll be the great shame infront of the church peoples. Amen. ❤.
